Sleep Inn Lynchburg - University Area & Hwy 460

Love the location-close to restaurants and shopping.

1) I booked the room through the Booking app and used my Venmo Visa to book. Upon check-in the employee stated they did not take Venmo, Cash app, Paypal, etc. I told the lady that I was fully aware of that, however I used a bona fide Visa credit card issued through Venmo to secure the room. I had to use another card-that I didn’t want to use-to complete the booking transaction. Employees need to be educated regarding actual Visa/Mastercard CREDIT CARDS issued by these companies and that they are not pre-paid or debit cards. 2) Could have done a slightly better job around the toilet area.. I didn’t like having carpet in the rooms. Carpet is a haven for allergens and bacteria, and since dogs are allowed there should not be carpet anywhere..

The place was very nice. The staff was super nice in always greeting us. The breakfast was good. The staff were accommodating for whenever I needed towels, etc.

Well it could have been better with the mattress. I felt like I was sinking at the head of the bed. I have trouble sleeping on memory foam mattresses. I don't know if they were memory foam or not, specifically...kind of felt like and acted like it, but not sure. If it wasn't memory foam then I think it may be time for a new mattress in room 416 closest to the bathroom. I sometimes have GIRD issues so normally sleep inclined; however, it was a little difficult in setting up my bed. The toilet had a slight leak, what seemed to be in the flapper. Every so often it would make a bad sound and then one could hear the water running as if to fill the tank.

The breakfast was good save for the orange juice which was less than expected but the apple juice made the difference. The offerings of ham, poached eggs and pastries etc were all adequate and nourishing. The staff were receptive, polite and informative. Good people all.

Find a better orange juice or simply eliminate it. Through no fault of the establishment, everything of interest in the Historical Sector was closed until Friday. That would have been nice to know since the brochures on site though interesting were of no value during my stay. Thus, arriving early did not serve us at all to explore but only to dine.

The beds were extremely comfortable. The staff was very friendly and polite. It was exceptionally clean and whenever we requested something they were quick to accommodate us.

The coffee was colored water. There weren't any microwaves in the rooms and no rollaway beds for children.

Very clean and well-taken care of. Staff were nice and helpful. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. It's near a lot of restaraunts and activities as well as Liberty. Would book again!

Breakfast ended too early for us to ever get to. Sink drained very slow (I did tell the maid about this so hopefully will be fixed). No bathtub. Otherwise, it was great!

We were attending a conference at Liberty Univ. This seemed to be the closed place to stay. With Applebee's next door, food was most convenient.

It would have been good to have access to a map of the LU campus that had the buildings named. Also it would have been good had LU notified attendees of what parking was available during the between semesters time.

I’m not a breakfast eater first thing in the morning but I overall enjoyed my stay! The only downfall is there’s no microwaves in the room. So if you’re looking to warm up something you have to go downstairs to get it done! I had a king suite so my room was super nice. Beds sleep great, shower has glass door with a real bath mat, and I loved it.

Microwaves being in your own room so you don’t have to run downstairs each time you want to warm your food up. Even most cheaper motels have microwaves in them. Fridge is too small as well

Didn't do breakfast 1st day ,but Pleased with available coffee and juice. 2nd day enjoyed breakfast.

Connectivity and wifi issues 1st night TV didn't work but young Lady desk attendant took the time to setup the set while I went next door to Applebees for dinner. She did a great job. TV went out next mourning before checkout.

Loved coming down the stairs every day and being greeted by cheerful "hello's" and smiling, friendly faces behind the desk. Those gals were so friendly and helpful, day and night!

The frightening clunk the elevator made when we took it to our room on the 3rd floor. We only used it once! We took the stairs after that. My husband Paul is an engineer and he said that should've been resolved by contractor when put in!!

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Check in was easy. Staff very helpful when I left something behind.

Recommend adding cream cheese and bagels with breakfast. Orange juice Machine wasn't working. But the whole visit was a great value.
