Toongabbie Hotel

I booked a room with a double bed and shared bathroom to save costs and was very pleased. I was comfortable and had no complaints. The room was air-conditioned, bed clean & comfortable with nice pillows, and the room had its own basin and fridge which was so handy. All basics were covered, bedside lamps, tissues, tea & coffee, kettle, fresh milk, bottled water, towels & soaps, WiFi, TV, ceiling fan, desk... Staff were friendly & helpful. Rooms are not affected by hotel noise. Accessed by security cards, also carpark has gate closed when hotel area is closed. Shared bathrooms have a bonus of 2 toilets, shower and bath, the shower area was small, but bath area spacious, facilities were old,but clean and well kept, screens on bathroom windows meant no moths or flies. Hotel is in great position, close to station and children's play area. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

This accommodation is located at very convenient location near the Toongabbie train station , less than 5 mins walk from Toongabbie Hotel to station. There are shopping centre, restaurants,cafes , etc within. 5 mins walk. It is easy to find the street parking. The room was clean and neat , especially the door and the small window about the door was painted and blocked the light from the corridor. It made more comfortable when sleeping. This is second time to book this accommodation, easy to check in and friendly staffs. It allows me to pay when I arrived instead of paying upfront. This is the budget and valued accommodation.

The staff were empathetic and compassionate. We rush booked the room as our brother was air flown to a nearby hospital. All staff made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. They gave us information to get things we need and the best ways to get to and from the hospital. Amazing professionalism in a time that we needed exactly that.

It was a bit hard to find the entrance for the check-in desk, as it is at the back where the carpark is, instead of the front of the building.

Room was as I expected .. comfy , clean Good TV .. only problem was the car parking .. it states “free parking “ when I arrived at 11:45 am to drop of bags .. There were only 11 parking bays & all were full. I rang the hotel from my car and asked what’s the separate packing for hotel guests they told me no .. that is all they have.. he then suggested I go and park at the local Woolworths supermarket and to make sure I move my car before midnight otherwise it will get locked in .. I told him that’s ridiculous that I will be asleep by then & he just laughed at me and said this is a problem they always have with guests !!

There are 15 rooms available and there are only 11 car spaces.. The car spaces are for accommodation and for the general public . Near impossible to get a car spot!

1 minute walk to Toongabie train station. City is about 30 mins by train. Lots of food shops and pharmacy on the street. We loved our stay. Beds were comfy, towels were clean, tea coffee milk was provided. We got a deal and paid $84 only for the night. More value than what we paid. Bonus tip- buy single trip ticket and get on train from Toongabie station to Townhall station. Darling harbour is approx 10 mins walk. It was so mesmerising to visit Darling harbour on a Friday night. Loved our stay at this place.😍

Best Value For Money! My favourite hotel. It gives you all the nice bits, like 2 pillows, clean & comfortable bed and sheets, tea & coffee supplies, air-conditioning, fan, bedside lamps, fridge, luggage rack, toiletries, etc, but without the expensive price! And although it has shared bathrooms, there is a basin in the bedroom which is so handy to fill the kettle, wash your face & teeth etc. The shared bathroom for females is old, but fine, had 2 toilets, 1 shower, 1 bath, screens on windows so no bugs at night. Book on booking.com to get 2 free drinks with your stay. The bar & restaurant noise cannot be heard from the rooms. Rooms use security card entry. Parking is available on site and gates are shut at night. Restaurant is great. Good menu. Fast service. Spacious, indoor & outdoor area, cutlery packaged with steak knife. I had the Tooni Burger and had no regrets. The bar/hotel itself is spacious, with plenty of room to find a quiet spot for yourself if you desire. Staff are friendly and helpful. If you have kids there is a park beside the hotel. Close to train station if you use public transport. And for breakfast i can recommend Gus Brothers just 5 mins away. I saw their sign on the roadside advertising $10 egg & bacon burger & coffee deal and was very pleased i stopped. Located on the Reece plumbing site so parking was no problem. Food was delicious. Service was fast. Staff were friendly & helpful. Eat in or takeaway available. Toongabbie hotel is my favourite, I guarantee you wont get a better deal for a better price.

The staff are really friendly and helpful, the food was fantastic and the location is great, really close to the train station and some shops. The bar stocks a great selection of beers. A convenient location for what I wanted, with onsite parking. I'll definitely be back.

Well, it's a Hotel on the corner of a busy corner so it's a little noisy, so I wore earplugs while sleeping :)

Great location right near the train station, small park and food options. Hotel restaurant had great food and there was plenty of room inside the pub area for groups/kids. Staff were all very friendly. Room was basic, but large enough. Beds comfy.

It is what it is... An older hotel/pub. Creaky floors, bit noisy with people going to the shared bathroom.. But that's why the price is what it is..

Very clean room with a great bed, lovely older building obviously looked after. The Hotel has been renovated in such a way that it is lovely and modern whilst retaining the traditional elements of the accomodation. Good restaurant and facilities for a relaxing evening too. Bottleshop on premises as well. Room has a sink, fridge and tea/coffee facilities. Staff are absolutely excellent. Other restaurants and shops close by, great choices especially for Indian and Fish/Chips dining

The older bathroom is nearly reaching the point it needs some work but was cared for and clean.

The room was very clean and very quiet so we were able to relax in the room for the night and the beds were very comfortable and was able to get a good night sleep

There was a stain on the carpet near the double bed and the powder board didn’t work properly
