Wollongong is a lovely old town. The room was dated, which I also love! I'm a child of the 1970s. The staff are so very polite, Kiera was more than helpful. We had booked into a room upstairs but when I asked about that at reception, she immediately knew I would prefer to be on the ground level, and beating me to it, she said 'Would you prefer to be downstairs". That's brilliant! I think she read my mind! Myself and the GF LOVED the place, it was everything we imagined and more.

The fact that we could not stay longer. People have jobs, and we're people! I feel like this questionnaire is prompting me to say bad things, but I don't have any bad things to say!

The Downtown Motel is an older 1980s style motel and is clean and comfortable with clean linen in the bathroom. there are limited facilities but a kettle and toaster and small fridge were in the room. The receptionist was friendly and accommodating and the whole experience was made easier by her assistance. Value for money.

Finding the entrance on the first visit can be difficult given the location in what is now a one way street.

Excelent location. Close to restaurants and cafes. Perfect place for a night or a couple of nights. Clean and confortable. Good to have tea and even biscuits, a nice gesture. Good beds and good quality linnen

All was good for a motel standard. Maybe the lights could be warmer, the room was kind of dark. ...And the paintings on the walls, coul be better quality... They look a bit unproffesional.. just an upgrade

The rooms were fairly old but the bed was very comfy and good night sleep had. The toilet and shower were very clean and good shower. Being very close to shops,hotels and restaurants ,also it was very quiet .and very secure parking ,if we need accommodation again we will be staying there.

Can't really complain ,maybe only thing the air conditioner heating could do with an upgrade

This is the second time I’ve stayed here. The rooms are basic, which reflects the very reasonable rates, but clean. The enclosed car park is a plus. Convenient to shops, restaurants and public transport. An added bonus is the very friendly and helpful staff

I stayed for 4 nights while my husband was in hospital and would have appreciated a more comfortable chair than the plastic ones provided

Location, right in the heart of city and not far from where we needed to get to. Liked how we were forewarned before arriving regarding our booking i.e. we were informed we had booked somewhere where noise maybe an issue and was given advance notice to change. Liked how extra blankets provided and all other basic amenities were in the room. Liked how we were running late due to traffic and was contacted by venue to see how far and then waiting around after hours to check us in.

The location was excellent although very very noisy on a Saturday night due to the nightclub below my room. Bed wasn’t really comfortable. Shower was quite small. But you get what you pay for I presume. I had fresh towels every day

Had trouble connecting to wi fi, but that wasn’t motels fault as they were having trouble with Telstra. My bed wasn’t made every day .

The room I booked on line was basic and was located above or very close to a very noisy restaurant with very loud music till 2am didn't get much sleep. I spoke with the very helpful staff and for a small fee they upgraded me to a room towards the rear of the motel. The room was very comfortable and much quieter and has a great sleep. I recommend to pay that little bit more for the better rooms. The staff were fantastic and understanding.

I regret paying for the cheaper room

The location, parking inclusion and the staff, cleaning staff also did a great job. A small microwave would have been really handy. Had a sporting event on where we volunteered starting at ~6am finishing ~7pm each day, not really much time to get takeaways o and just to be able to relax in the room away from ppl.

The noise levels from the neighbouring nightclub.

Good location. Car park area was secured. Plenty of eateries within short walking distance. Staff we had contact with very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Good value for what we paid for the room.

Reception desk not always attended. Room needed updating. That said it was adequate for our needs. Safety chain was broken.
