Our weekend getaway at this hotel villa was truly delightful. The standout feature was undoubtedly the cuisine - it was the best we've experienced in any all-inclusive resort in Bulgaria, surpassing our expectations. The staff's friendliness and attentiveness were impressive. They genuinely cared for the guests, ensuring our needs were met promptly and courteously. We did encounter a minor issue with the Wi-Fi, but it's worth noting how quickly the problem was resolved. This swift response demonstrates the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction. We liked everything. The hotel is perfect for family with kids. Food was great, staff were nice and friendly and the apartment was spacious and clean. There is kids club which is super convenient and the swimming pool is suitable for children. The guys in the ski rent place located in the hotel were also super nice and friendly. It's the third time we visit this hotel and we will definitely come back. Great Bloody Mary and live music at the lobby.

The delux room was of great size for 2 adults and 2 kids, the children had plenty of space to play around. The bathroom was really big and the bath products were of great quality. Really tasty food, not too many options, just enough, good quality. Great coffee- Costa and Lavazza. Always fresh fruits! A lot of baby food options. Good size pools- both indoor and outdoor. There was an incident with elevator and the management made it up to us with a great gesture, which we were really thankful for. Good customer service!

The tiles in the indoor pools have cutting edges-this need to be changed, both my kids got scraped while playing. The access to the restaurant terrace is unlimited and guests staying late really disturb the others that want to rest.

We loved the hotel, it was above our expectations. I shared a studio room with 13 yr old twins and it had a kitchenette which was useful to come back from skiing and make a hot drink. My girls were amazed to have daily room service (made them be tidier as they were embarrassed to let anyone see how messy they are!). My son and his father had a separate studio (studios were outside the main hotel building). The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and sorted out any issues very quickly. The food was great and really suited my family - plentiful, varied and lots of choice (could do with a few more vegetarian main courses) and tasty food, just what you need after skiing, with a good breakfast beforehand. Apart for the selection of main courses there was always a huge salad and fruit selection. The spa is fantastic, so lovely to come back to a pool (indoor and out) with massage jets, hot tub and a choice of saunas, steam rooms and hot beds. There is a great gym too that my son enjoyed. If you are all inclusive then the spa and gym is included. The hotel communal areas are very attractive and spacious and great to relax in after dinner. There was often a musician or singer at dinner or in the bar afterwards. The hotel runs a complementary shuttle bus to the the gondola but we walked most days as wanted to get to gondola early and its only about 15 mins walk. You can keep skis in hotel ski store but we left ours at the ski hire shop so we were free to walk back if we wanted. All in all we had a fantastic holiday and would definitely stay at the St Ivan Rilski again!

Sofa bed was very uncomfortable. The communal lounge areas were a bit too warm for us in the evening. Can't think of anything else - it was great!

Some distance from Gondola cable car meant using the shuttle or walking. Not a major problem. More shuttles. The hot milk from the coffee machine was Luke warm throughout the stay despite reporting it to staff. Information sheet referring to: Getting to Gondola.
