The Holiday Inn Express is your standard airport hotel. high volume of travelers, all in a mild airport stress - either facing a flight inconvenience or recovering from one. So, the Holiday In provides exactly what you need: a neutral and efficient environment for the traveler. room - though quite tight - is equipped with everything you need for a one-nighter, and well organized. restaurant and bar - efficient and of decent quality. location? within walking distance from the rental returns and the terminal.

Well - no complaints... it is an airport transfer station, and it feels like one. We were two in a thousand; we did not expect any personal treatment and also none was needed.

Located a 5 minute walk from terminal building, mostly a covered walkway. Very busy when I arrived around 5 pm with lots of families and couples, mostly holidaymakers, but no delay at check-in by very amiable person. Room on third floor spacious and seriously double- glazed - no airport noise. Comfortable bed and choice of pillows ( but ones supplied more than adequate.) Bathroom a bit old but very functional and clean. Tv with digital clock, which I like because it means I can switch off the phone.

Nothing. I didn't try the bar/ restaurant as I'd seen a M&S Food shop in the nearby terminal.

The location was perfect for us as we were dropping our rental car off and needed an overnight stay. We had a fabulous room where we could watch the planes land & take off (thanks for doing that for us Nicole it was great), we had a really good stay - our corner room was very comfortable, clean & bright and not too cramped. Amazing staff and although busy, they still had time to make sure we had a good stay. The young man who served us at dinner did a really good job of making sure we were served quickly, our meal was okay and cleared the tables quickly. Good wifi and aircon too. We’d definitely recommend this hotel and would book again if we’re back in Glasgow. Thanks

Nothing we didn’t like

We liked the super comfy beds, the room was on the small side but comfy, had everything we needed, great lightning, many wall sockets, a comfortable armchair, a big mirror, a clever two-functional door in the bathroom. Breakfast was good. We also bought dinner the evening we came. Apparently the selection was limited because one of the ovens wasn´t working. The food was really good though and not too expensive. I really liked my vegan curry.

We liked everything, maybe apart from the view, but what can you expect from an airport location, haha. My only piece of advice is do not follow Google maps if you walk from the airport to the hotel. The way is pretty straightforward, but Google maps led us astray in the opposite direction. So, if you´re going out of the airport terminal, turn LEFT (not right as we did), you have to walk a bit through the car park and then there´s a pedestrian path leading to the hotel.

The reception staff are friendly, informative and efficient. After all, who wants to be hanging around a desk waiting to be checked in and then have to look around for lifts, menus etc. Thank you. The room was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast staff were especially friendly and helpful. When someone can make you laugh that early in the morning.....It was definitely a great start. My grandson popped a croissant into the toaster which, of course ,he should not have done. The staff quietly and calmly dealt with this incident with humour and good grace.

The Tea! I mean the tea served in the bar. It is truly awful! Please , please someone show the nice guy who serves behind the bar how to make a proper cup of tea.

This worked well. We had to be at the airport to meet one of our number who was coming in on a late flight and since we needed to get going early the next morning there wasn't any point in staying in Glasgow itself, so the airport Holiday Inn was ideal for the purpose. All the facilities were good quality, everything worked well - easy to find the place, no queue for reception, car parked up safely in the hotel car park, good night's sleep etc. - and we had quite a nice curry in the restaurant in the evening, followed by a decent breakfast in the morning.

Can't really fault anything, except to say it's not the most characterful place to stay - but you can't really expect great character from a budget airport hotel, so that's not a real criticism.

The hotel location was a flat short 6 mins walk from Glasgow airport terminal and the hire car area. There is an express bus every 10 mins running from outside the terminal into Glasgow. The 2 rooms we had booked were comfortable and very clean and our request to check in an hour early was no problem, thank you. The breakfast choice was more than adequate and because it wasn't a sprawling array of food, what was available was cooked and presented very well (7 a.m.) so it was an enjoyable experience for us. We noticed that a takeaway packed breakfast was also available on request for people checking out early. We would definitely choose to stay here again if we needed accommodation close to the airport.

Easy walk to and from the terminal. Very helpful staff especially as my suitcase was delayed, and I was immediately offered a toothbrush and other essentials! The breakfast was also very good, including soy milk, an essential for vegans. Good coffee, plenty of fresh fruit. Also some health snacks available (natural nuts). Would be nice to have fresh fruit available to purchase for snacks as well.

The meal options for vegans were very limited and kind of greasy. A suggestion for the kitchen would be one or two main meals based around tofu or beans (such is chili or a lentil or bean based curry, lentil soup and so on), a pizza option without meat or cheese (just veg, mushrooms etc). It wouldn't be too difficult and it would really be appreciated!

I had been stressing out about making my early EARLY morning flight out of Glasgow, so at the last minute I decided to book a room close to the airport so that I could get some real sleep without having to worry about missing my flight trying to get there. I could not have been happier with my decision! Not only is this hotel on airport grounds, but they were kind enough to check me in early so I could really relax before my trip. The room wasn't fancy but it was very comfortable and clean with great wifi. Staff was super nice and helpful. They make free breakfast foods available very early, and dinner the night before was delicious (not free but worth the money).
