Best Western Hotel Arabellapark Muenchen

This was my first time staying at a hotel in Germany. I chose BW Arabellapark because it is located close to the Arabellapark U4 station. Since I had booked on Booking.com, my check-in was seamless - show passport, pay upfront, done. The receptionist was fast and friendly. It was mentioned in our room's description that it will have a sofa bed. For us, it was already converted into a bed, with a mattress and bedsheet in place. The bathroom was spotless. In the evening, I asked for additional blanket, ironing board and an iron. It was delivered to my room, gratis. The breakfast had a wide spread, from fresh fruits, cold cuts, yogurt, breads, cereal and so on. There is also a quite machine in the corner which makes pancakes. Since we did not understand a few dishes, the servers helped us with explanations. The coffee machine is awesome. For dinner, there is no shortage of options, within a quarter kilometer radius. All in all, great location, friendly staff and awesome breakfast. Go for it.

When we pack my bags for travel, we do not include expectations. So, there was nothing we did not like. However, if it is really needed, there should have been more hangers in the closet. :)

Quiet location. Close to public transportation. Helpful staff. Taxi fare from Munich Centrail train station around €25-27. There are restaurants and Rewe supermarket within 5-min walking distance. Room is spacious enough. Complimentary bottle of drinking water and coffee/tea making facilities. Comfortable bed. Clean and good size bathroom. Breakfast buffet is good. Non-pork cold cuts (turkey and kipper) are served separately. Generous spread of breads and cheese. Ample space and tables in the cafeteria,

new, excellent location with big supermarket (REWE), sub-way is just 5 min. away on foot and there's a big bus stations next to subway (U4).

they did not clean the room, even give me new towel. :( And told me it's their way to protect environment. :( Sorry, pls. don't green-washing your behavior. During 4-night stay, I have to go to front dest 2 times, just for new towel. If it's your policy, pls. kindly mention it at your webpage and booking.com to let people know in advance. When I was lined at front desk for my new towel, I witnessed that staff told other check-in guests that their bookings does not include breakfast and suggest them to pay additionally for breakfast. But a lady insisted that they booked with breakfast and asked for re-check. At the end, it's breakfast-included order.

Stayed here for 8 days. The staffs were great but Mr. Fringga at the reception was the best! He was so helpful from the check-in till the check-out process. The room was okay. I like the simple yet modern interior. Location was also great. The U4 Arabellapark, supermarket, and small shops are all reachable. Pretty close to the small park right side of Isar river. Great for jogging. The hotel also allows bicyle rent (10€ for 4hrs) but unfortunately I didnot have time to try.

The sustainability concept is good but perhaps max. 3 days room cleaning should still be done by default? So that the cleanliness is well-maintained.

I would like to thank the hotel, because it accepted and modified the reservation without charging me, even though I stayed one day less due to a strike. The room was excellent, very nicely decorated, spacious and bright. In fact, it had two pillows, one thicker and one thinner. Because I love thin pillows, it was the first time I slept so well in a hotel. I usually ask for thin pillows and hotels don't have them.The location is only good if you want to stay in the area for some reason. It is far from the center, but not difficult to reach, because the metro is very close. I walked to the city center and it took me 50 minutes. Also to thank booking.com and the hotel because they offered me a free transfer from the airport to the hotel

I didn't like that we arrived at the hotel at 13.00 and even though our room was ready, they asked us 20€ if we wanted to be given the key before 15.00. If the room was not ready or if I requested the room before 12.00, I would accept it. But when they ask you to check out at 11.00 to prepare the room for the next one, if the room is ready at 13.00 why do they ask for an extra charge?

Everything - the location was great, the room was wonderfully large, felt brand new, tastefully decorated and really comfy beds and bedding. The shower room was large and well thought out with a hot, powerful shower. The hotel was located next to a square with lots of places to eat, a supermarket and a couple of bakeries, and the U bahn was a few minutes walk across the square. Staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't have the breakfast as it was an extra 19 euros each, but the bakery was perfect for pastries etc. We walked into the centre of Munich through the park on our first day which was lovely.

Couldn't find a hairdryer. A more affordable breakfast would have been good.

This is a lovely hotel out in the suburbs (but accessible to central Munich by a 15-20 min subway journey and a 10 min walk). If you don’t mind not being centrally located, it’s great as you have clean, quiet rooms (although you have to pay extra for housekeeping) and great facilities (bar, breakfast, etc, all at hotel prices). Despite these I found it good value for money and would happily recommend it.

Nothing comes to mind - note that it’s not in central Munich, but at least a 15-20 min subway ride away and another 10 min walk (this was fine with me).

The room was nice looking and cleaned when we arrived. The bed was comfortable and calm (view to the inner court yard). There were curtains to keep the light out. The bathroom was modern, the walk-in shower great.

I disliked that you needed to specifically request cleaning. I understand that it is not ecological to change the towels every day, but making the bed and emptying the dust bin has no negative impact on the environment. I think that these two things should be done by default in a hotel at this price. There was little space where to put your clothes. The other thing that disturbed me is that in the tablet in the room, there were offers mentioned, which the bar was not aware of. We had planned to stay in the hotel because of these offers and then really disappointed when they were not available.

I loved how convenient it was in terms of restaurants and public transportation, but how quiet the neighbourhood was. It was nice to have some peace and tranquillity after a day in the main parts of the city. The room was very clean and comfortable, and a great price! I even had a seating area, which is not a given for a room for a solo traveller. Very good bathroom as well, with a very good showerhead.

The WiFi didn't work, so I had to join an alternative network they have. They also didn't mention that you had to request for your room to be cleaned when I checked in.

Pretty decent hotel in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Room was clean, had a little balcony for some fresh air. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was nice.

The staff at the reception couldn't be colder. The hotel itself was a little hard to find on arrival - the neighborhood is a labyrinth until you figure out the shortcuts. Location is good, but hotels in Munich in general are overpriced and this one is too.
