We booked this hotel as our last night stay in Iceland after our two-weeks' self-driven trip round the island. We have chosen this hotel for its proximity to the airport: it said it is just 100 m away from the airport (actually it is from the Departure Hall of the airport), so that we wouldn't have to take a shuttle bus to the airport. Finally we found that it is also very close to our car rental company: it is just about 5 mins' walk from our car rental company. It is not difficult to find at all: it is just the tallest building outside the airport, with a very nice red-brown color. It is a very nice hotel and the check-in process was fast. The room is large with a spacious washroom, and is spotlessly clean. The room has a large window facing the airport. The bed is comfortable and the room has a nice heater. The breakfast buffet next morning was delicious, too, with lots of food to choose from. It starts from 4:00 am, which fits well for those who have to take the morning plane like us. Overall I can say this is an ideal hotel for those who have just arrived at Iceland, or about to leave Iceland.
Nothing.

Good location if you had an early flight like us. Rooms are a reasonable size with good bathroom. Keep in mind that you are at the airport and that you will also hear some aircraft noises. We found the breakfast not really extensive and frankly a bit disappointing. You could expect the crowds in the morning, since many planes leave early in the morning at the same time. The advantage is that you can return the rental car in the evening, so that you do not have to be in the crowd in the morning. We were also lucky that we could check in our suitcases the night before (self-service), so that we could sleep a little longer and also avoid the crowds (because it was quite busy in the morning when checking in). It is only a 2 minute walk to the car rental and airport. For one night before an early flight or late arrival, this is the perfect solution and not that expensive either.

Well priced considering proximity to the airport.
The restaurant was not great. My friend paid A LOT of money for lamb with vegetables. The vegies turned out to be frozen mixed, and still partially frozen in the middle.

I appreciated the responsiveness of the staff. I had two booking, one of which--my mistake--I failed to cancel. The hotel staff worked this out quickly. We also appreciated the super early start for breakfast (4:00 AM), which is clearly intended to support the needs of so many of us leaving Iceland with early flights. The convenience to the airport terminal and car rental pick up and drop off cannot be exceeded by any other hotel in the nearby area. Even though the hotel is basically "on" the airport property, our room was quiet.
Since many probably drop off their rental cars as they arrive at the hotel, a restaurant open 24 (with just a few basic items) would be a nice addition.

We chose this hotel for the location - a 2 minute walk to the airport. Breakfast was good, the hotel was clean, the rooms were quiet - job done
The hotel is pricy, but then Iceland is. I don't mind paying the price but I do think the very very small thin towels - and only one little one and a small hand towel per person is not fair and nor is it in the spirit of the kind and generous people of Iceland. Likewise the duvet - only just sits on top of the mattress. The smoke detector flashed a light in your eyes through the night - it wouldn't be difficult for the light/ device to be fitted so its not flashing onto the bed.

The location is perfect for late arrivals at night or early departures in the morning. It was helpful that the hotel sent instructions to leave the airport from the departure side. Room was comfortable with all the essentials - hairdryer, kettle with tea and coffee, shampoo/conditioner. Bed was comfortable. No noise so I slept very well with the blackout curtains. Breakfast was good with plenty of hot and cold options. Staff was quick to clear plates and turn tables around for the next guests.
Bath towels may be a bit small for some. Not an issue for me but bring your own large towel if you need one.

We booked this hotel for both arrival to and departure from Iceland. The hotel is perfectly located (walking distance from the terminal). Rooms were good sized and surprisingly comfortable for an airport hotel, and very clean. Absolutely no noise, neither from the neighbors nor from the planes. Breakfast buffet offers a large range of food. We would stay here again.
We had dinner at the restaurant of the hotel, and this was the only negative side. If the quality of the food was a bit better, then the stay would have been perfect (it still does the job though).

The Aurora hotel at Keflavik Airport offered a very comfortable and restful stay, with peace of mind as the terminal is only a 5 minute walk away. We stayed here as we had a very early morning departure and, whilst the hotel is pricey, felt that this was the best decision we made. The hotel's location meant that we were able to pack our bags and check in at the terminal the evening before, which freed us up the next day to wake up at a leisurely pace, have breakfast at the hotel restaurant (which opened at 4:30am, perfect for early flyers), and walk calmly to the terminal without much haste. As for the room we stayed in - our room was very clean and well appointed, and had a high end (for an Airport hotel) feel - with a comfortable queen sized bed, usb plug points, two sets of towels, plush bedding, and great block out curtains - all of which ensured a great nights sleep. The bathroom was spacious and luxe looking, with bright lighting and toiletries were provided. Breakfast the next morning featured most staple items (including hot meals) arranged in a buffet style, as well as a range of hot and cold beverages, and the dining area helpfully showed flight departure times. We were very happy with our stay here and will happily choose the Aurora hotel when we visit Iceland again.

Location is just great! One doesn't need any car to go to the airport which is some minutes away (walkable distance). We had breakfast in the hotel which was a bit challenging (too small self-service buffet for so many people), however, the food was good.
I find that prices in Iceland went so high up everywhere that quality and quantity balance is not good anymore. We stayed in the same hotel some 8 years ago but the quality didn't change much, however, prices went up. We were on the higher floor thus it was very difficult even to slightly open the window.
