We needed a place to stay for 1 night ahead of our return flight to London, so it worked for us... shared bathroom, shared kitchen, decent and cleaned, just outside Keflavik and close to airport if you're driving like us... I would stay again for a night... for the money it was best option also the property have a story as being a decommissioned police centre and they kept a jail room... as a fact...

it is just not my type, for what we needed it done the job... it is the transit stay if I would I can express that way... everything it is basic... there is nothing around, like shops or petrol station.... ( if you drive it is easy )

Very close to the airport, perfect for that first or last day stay. Beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were big and well equipped. The kitchen had everything you can ever want in a guesthouse kitchen. Even a large smart tv.

The bathrooms were far from the room, and the corridor was really cold. There was at least one jail cell in the building, which was empty, but still gave us the creeps. Walls are very thin. Our 1.5 year old son had a nightmare and woke up in the middle of the night, and the very helpful and lovely quests in the room next to us thought that they can calm him down immediately by banging on the wall. That was just what the TWENTY MONTH OLD child needed, thanks.

Good communication before our arrival and a very friendly greeting. When there was a minor glitch with our airport shuttle in the morning, it was easy to contact staff and they were very helpful. The room was warm and comfortable--exactly what was needed for a night's sleep before an early morning flight. Simple and no pointless frills. The lounge area was a complete surprise (we should have looked at the website more carefully). Comfortable, clean and with a wide range of cooking facilities, cutlery etc (and a generous store of food left by people like ourselves, finishing off their time in Iceland). The array of breakfast choices in the morning was outstanding. The shared bathroom facilities were absolutely fine--and rather fancier than ours at home.

Very convenient to have room key and everything already settled before you arrive, so that in the end nothing more is needed. Perfect stay, especially for the last night before flight.

The KEF airport shuttle to the airport needs to be booked at least 24h before departure. We did not manage to book it in time, so this info might be helpul to others? We were traveling for many days and needed KEF just for the last night before early flight. The days before we traveled the whole day on horseback, and had neither time nor mood nor good network connection to organise anything in advance.

Room was nice with good beds, little sink, closet and small table witch chair. Towels and soap are there. Kitchen area is okay.

The shower was too hot, couldn’t change temperature. They mentioned a luggage room but when we asked (via phone, no staff at site) we couldn’t use it because it wouldn’t be secure without staff there. We came from the airport with the bus, busstop is not very close, 15 min walk up hill, and the bus runs once every two hours.

Decent guesthouse near the airport. As a family of four, we appreciated the spacious suite with a double bed, bunk bed and a private bathroom. (Basic rooms we saw were pretty small & minimalist and with shared bathrooms.) Staff is on site part-time and can help if you have questions.

If you don't have a car, getting to/from the airport will cost you ~$25 even though it's a short drive. Bus service is sporadic and not very conveniently located. Grocery stores or restaurants are about 20mins away by foot. The bathroom could have used some hooks/shelves.

The place was very clean and tidy and the kitchen has free tea, coffee, juice, breakfast items and even some basic foods such as pastas, rice etc. it was absolutely brilliant and the bathrooms are so clean and tidy and toiletries are provided which is excellent. The location was fantastic, it’s 5 minutes drive from the airport, but it’s in a quiet location, and 20 minute drive from the blue lagoon and some good dark sites for seeing the aurora.

We chose this guesthouse for its location, close to the airport, as our flight back was very early in the morning. The airport transfer went smoothly. We stayed for two nights and its location is also very good for visiting the Reykjanes peninsula (and the Blue Lagoon). In Keflavik there are several restaurants (we went two evenings in a row to Rain, excellent dinner). KEF Guesthouse was the best guesthouse we stayed in during our trip in wonderful and amazing Iceland!

Really good place near to airport. Free parking and easy access to rooms without check-in - just enter code from message. Very clean and comfortable room. Toilets were really great and stylish, also funny chair in front of pan . There were funny text pictures in kitchen.

At arrive in room was opened window - we closed it immediately. By the way after many hours and even in the morning it was cold.

the place was very convenient for us, because we had an early flight back home, the guesthouse is 5 minutes driving from the airport. Very clean, everything is new, the kitchen is fully equipped, large and very nice. Each room has it's own enter code that you get in mail, very convenient. Looks like during our stay there were not so many people, so it was very quiet. good option if you need something close to the airport reasonable price (relatively to what we got in Iceland)
