Location is 15 min drive from Keflavik airport. All basics are covered with breakfast. Decent clean room with amenities (toiletries, towels, bathrobe etc), small kitchenette with kettle. Bathtub and good hot shower. Small walk-in cupboard with locker/safe. Parking was easily available in the front. Pleasant staff who promptly answered all questions over messages and handled requests professionally. They were honest in what was available and what was not. I had no surprises when I reached. Overall no complaints. Other hotels in this price range were just serving a cold breakfast but Eldey had more options so I selected this one. It is not a fancy place but does the job. We stayed for a night.

Everything was good.

Situated near the Airport. It costs around 4500 ISK to go in a cab from the airport to the hotel. At the time we landed (midnight) it was the only solution. It is also very near a bunch of car rentals so if you're renting cars to pick up near the airport it might probably be near this hotel. Very warm rooms. Had everything you need to rest after a long flight. Bathrooms also had everything you need. Breakfast was paid extra but it was worth it because it's cheap compared to anything else you'd find around and you had a variety of foods and drinks. Staff was kind and useful.

I had a solo 25-hour layover in Iceland. As I was solo and was planning on a very busy day to see as much as possible, and rented my own car, my priorities for picking a hotel were: inexpensive (for Iceland), safe, comfortable, well-rated and convenient to the airport. I would say this hit all of those requirements well. I checked in around 9pm and checked out at about 5am. Honestly, the area and the exterior had me a little worried as it was fairly basic in an area on the perimeter of the airport, but the receptionist was wonderful and the beds and room were very comfortable, clean and spacious. Perfect for a short stay before my flight. They even had a heated towel warmer, which was helpful for drying out my bathing suit overnight from the Blue Lagoon.

I would recommend asking for a room maybe further from the front of the hotel. I had a second floor room close to the foyer (room 209). There are solid floors in the hallway and the room, so while comfortable, it was a tad noisy in that particular location. Exterior a little "barracks-like", also, even though it is adjacent to the KEF airport, it is still about a 15 minute drive to return a rental car in the morning (allow plenty of time and take pictures before and after renting - it is not like the drive up quick rental car return like in the US). For reference, the Courtyard is directly outside the airport entrance, but was significantly more expensive.

I recently stayed at the Eldey Airport Hotel for one night for my flight early in the morning. Overall, I had a pleasant experience at the hotel and would recommend it to others looking for a comfortable and convenient option near the airport. The location of the hotel is very convenient, as it's only a 5-minute drive from Keflavik International Airport. The hotel itself is quite modern and well-maintained. The room I stayed in was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and all the necessary amenities including a TV and toiletries. The bathroom was also clean and had a good shower with plenty of hot water. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful, and check-in and check-out were both quick and efficient. Overall, I would recommend the Eldey Airport Hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient option near Keflavik Airport. The rooms are clean and modern, the breakfast is great, and the location is very convenient.

The only minor issue I had was that the Wi-Fi signal in my room was a bit weak, but this wasn't a huge problem as I was only staying for one night. If you don't have a car it would be difficult to get around.

Would have been good to know that a taxi from the airport was almost $28. Wish there was a shuttle...

staff were nice, room is adequate but you can hear every sound inside and outside the hotel. The type flooring echoes all noise, the hotel has check in 24/7 so you hear people all night as they pull in and out. There need to be some rules put in place for the the guests to be considerate of other guests in hotel. you can hear all aircraft, it was quite difficult to rest and I traveled 2 days to get there. not many food options near by. when you ask staff about going to spa, each one each day gave you a different time which was confusing

THIS IS HARDLY A AIRPORT HOTEL . It is quite a long and expensive taxi ride away and there were no facilities for any evening meal nearby with 2 small children in the party

Flight was massively delayed which meant we couldn't get to our organised hotel. Last minute booking very close to the airport. Looks awful from the outside but inside we were met by a cheery lady at reception at 1am. The room is basic but large and clean and even had robes, a kettle and coffee. Room warm and large and piping hot water. For Iceland - the room was a very reasonable rate. Staff helpful in the morning. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on how that is.

We stayed here because it was close to the airport and we had an early departure the next day. At first glance, it appeared a bit institutional, but we soon discovered a very comfortable room with more than adequate furnishings. There was a community kitchen, cooking area on the second floor which was much appreciated. The evening/overnight female staff person insisted on helping us carry our very heavy suitcases to the second floor then back down the next day.

The halls are very, very long.

Very clean and staff were friendly. I enjoyed breakfast. Good location to get to and from the airport. No need for paying expensive taxis in case you want to use the public transport. Lobbies are very fancy and wi-fi is great all over the building.

Old and damaged curtains in the room. Shower holder wouldn't hold the shower head properly. Ah,end the flat screen telly....come ooonnn! It was just a small outdated monitor... Rooms on the first floor you can't rely on any privacy as anyone can come peep on you and even knock on your window.
