It was a nice place, very Gen z, with extremely friendly staff and nice facilities. The beds and toilets were clean and nice and there was a mirror in the room and each bed had a charging port with a little light. It was a very nice stay. I felt safe since it was a women’s dorm aswell so that was nice.

The staff is very nice and helpful in giving information and solving small inconveniences. The large kitchen allows you to leave everything you need to cook your own meals. The common areas are just large enough to be able to socialize, larger would be better but given the layout of the hostel I think it's not possible to go beyond that. Very useful is the locker with enough space even for large suitcases. The location is good for not being in downtown traffic and being able to rest without too much noise and get to the center in a short time.
Breakfast is a bit poor with few things, I suggest to increase a little bit the price but add something more. Wouldn't mind having the common rooms a little bigger. The bed squeaked a bit, being a bunk bed if someone already sleeps in the room this can be a bit annoying. Some of the bathrooms are a little small, but it's not really a negative point, you just have to arrange it.

I would like additional possible things that sheilas hostel propose like, breakfast, laundry ( there was many options. Customers sincerly care of comforts for guests and I really apriciate that. Also location was for me perfect and that there was actually no restrictions about time when I should get back
The things I liked less are just small details, which might be not much important for others. - I didn't have adapter so I tried to use just USB port for charge my phone and I discovered it is no charging actually ( such slow , even after longer time , the percentage of my battery was almost same - another thing is also about plug inn device. For example I didn't want to disturb other girls in my room, by things like drying hair , but there was no possibility to plug inn device on bathroom or some other place. also I think in case of whole floor, there should be little more bathrooms, but in general I will recomand sheilas to others sincerly.

The place was well equipped for what was offered in the price. The receptionist (didn’t see his name) was professional and friendly, who checked me in and out of the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms were neat and tidy, and the place appears well facilitated, though did not get the chance to use them. Bed was surprisingly comfortable and slept through! Breakfast, which I believe starts from 8 am, although there is a self-service kitchen if one wishes to make breakfast earlier. There are seated rooms with tables and charging outlets. When back in Cork I’ll definitely consider staying here again to get the full experience.

Really convenient location, esp close to the buses coming in from Dublin. 24 hr access, awesomely well equipped kitchen for self-catering, nice and clean overall. storage bins under the bed are nice
A bit noisy, but to be expected in a large dorm setting. Get earplugs! Probably not the most critical - the socket above the bunk bed holds a plug against gravity. So if you have a international plug adapter, and something then plugged into it, it tends to fall off. Of course, the good thing is that there are 2 USB sockets as well. And the fire alarm went off twice early morning... (thankfully probably just burnt toast :)

It was clean, quiet, had pretty much everything you’d need. Breakfast options and towel rental and essential such as toothpaste etc were available and really cheap. Staff were brilliant. As a solo female traveler in a mixed dorm I felt safe which is such a relief. I booked on short notice due to a family emergency in cork and was so relieved it was as nice as it was.
I’m a bit too autistic for the hostel vibe but that’s a me problem. Also had a sketchy encounter in the city my second night so I’d recommend budgeting for taxis to other solo travellers. (But this was not in the area the hostel was)

The price was amazing, great value for money. I didn't use the kitchento cook, just to fill up water bottles but the set up is brilliant. Everyone gets a plastic box to store their food and you can cook as you please, the kitchen was spotless, even though people had just been cooking, everyone was very respectful and cleaned up after themselves.
I didn't like that I didn't pay attention when booking my room, I opted for 2beds in a mixed dorm 🙈

The room was cozy and had a great view. The location was also ideal for walking into and out of town, well-lit the whole way. I was surprised that there was a sauna on site, that was a nice surprise, though I didn't use it... next time perhaps :)
I can't really thinnk of any downsides. I only stayed one night so I didn't get to use all of the facilities like the kitchen or lounge room but everything that I experienced was really good.

Yeah, in general it works pretty well since the hostal is very close to the city, it's very functional and the staff was smiley and warm. I loved the laundry service, they took care of one of my delicate clothes which I really appreciate it.
Some of the other guests doesn't have manners. Also, I personally would rather have a complete breakfast outside, I got very confused as foreigner to receive a couple bread slices and a cereal bowl, not expensive though.

It,s my 2nd time staying in Sheila hostel. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I was staying in 6 bed female dorm next to the shower room . It,s bit small but very cozy, quiet at night and the bed is amazing with USB chargers. I slept very well. The hostel is very clean. I didnt have €4 breakfast as the presentation looks a bit plain but what more can you ask for 4 Euro. I will definally stay there again. Highly recommend.
Breakfast presentarion can be better.
