Was a bit concerned about staying here as we were using public transport but I shouldn't have worried. The hotel advised taking a taxi but as there were 6 of us and luggage, that was not feasible. We arrived at Gotemba Station and went to the nearby Information Bureau, where we bought two-day Hakone freepasses for that day and the next (we would be visiting Hakone the next day). There was a free shuttle from stand 4 which took us to Chichibunomiya Memorial Park, a few steps from the hotel. We dropped off the luggage before check-in, and then used the freepass to hop the bus to the Gotemba Outlets that afternoon - much shopping was done, late lunch and a wonderful view of Mt Fuji. Then used the pass to get back to the hotel. The first thing we did after collecting our luggage and going to the rooms was to go to the roof for the footbath - bliss! Two of our party then went for the onsen - the others were a bit shy to get naked but the baths are gender segregated and honestly no one cares what you look like, just make sure you follow the instructions for taking a public bath. Each room has a bag with your individual towels, either to use in your room or to take to the onsen. You are given a code to enter the onsen,- the anteroom to the baths has lockers for your clothes, shoes etc and dressing tables with facial products, hair ties, hairdyers and weight scales. The onsen was the highlight of my stay, Not only warm inside bath, but warm outdoor bath, cool bath and sauna. Afterwards there are free ice creams/ice blocks to consume in the afternoon/evening or probiotic drinks/yakult in the morning. There are free drinks in the lounge/restaurant area in the afternoon and then free ramen at night from 9.30pm. The view of Mt Fuji from the rooftop in the morning as the first sunrays hit was beautiful. There is a pancake cafe a few doors down to the right, and a convenience store/gas station a little further along.

No mention of the 150 yen per person onsen cost (even if you use it or not) but it was such a small amount and I really appreciated this whole experience.

Love the onsite onsen & nightly free soba noodle thereafter, free drinks, ice creams!

It would be most ideal if it provide shuttle service to Gotemba station.

The location is a bit out of the way if you are not driving. However, it's convenient if you drive. It's only a few minutes drive from Gotemba Outlet. There are plenty of parking lots. The facilities are excellent for the price that we paid. Even though there isn't much around the hotel, there are enough things in the hotel to keep us occupied. We could enjoy the onsen, the footbath on the roof top and there is even a reading room outside the onsen with a huge collection of anime. The best part was the free raman supper and the ice cream. There are also washing machines and dryer. Washing machines are free and dryer is charged at very reasonable price.

Much better looking than the pictures. Good size comfortable room, beds are good, bathroom nice with only a shower stall, sink separate from the bathroom but spacious. Nice spa on the first floor with inside and outside bath. Nice products in shower room. Spacious rooftop deck with a foot soak, you may see Mount Fuji on occasion. Nice addition of ice cream snacks and soba in the evening included in the room rate.

Not much English at the front desk so challenging to get assistance. Cleaning crew load up the hallways with bags of trash and sheets so that hallways all the way to elevator are congested. They seem to be there for hours. Stayed at 50 hotels and never saw cleaning done this way. My second day asked for the room to be cleaned but comforter was put back over unchanged sheets. Didn’t pick up the towels, didn’t vacuum. Had to request service. Rules about what time you can go on the rooftop and limited breakfast hours, ends at 8:45 am. Soba at 21:30.

The hotel is new and modern, very clean. Lots of facilities. Love the foot bath at the roof top, it faces Mount Fuji. I took lots of great photo up there I also enjoyed the onsen everyday during my stay. I requested our rooms ( we have 3 rooms) to be closer, the staff put us side by side.

We used this hotel as a base for our walk up Fujisan; the Fujinomiya trail can be approached via car and subsequent shuttle. The hotel has plenty of free parking, which for us was a great asset. The layout follows the Dormy Inn formula, which makes it extremely comfortable and Japanese. The Onsen (= hot spring) is very nice, and there is free soup at night with free soft drinks, and other little gimmicks which are much appreciated. We would happily stay here again.

There should be two towels per person, as one towel is generally needed and completely spent at the Onsen.

Great hotel and basis for the Fuji area Where shall I begin- we absolutely loved this place: there were so many nice free amenities such as free ramen in the evening, free ice cream, free probiotic drinks in the morning… They had free parking! The Spa/onsen are was really nice and clean, you have a sauna, 2 warm pools, one cold one. And the best thing: Fuji view from the rooftop of the hotel! Definitely recommend staying here, the price-performance is brilliant.

Nothing except the pillows were a bit to hard…

This hotel was amazing! Great onsen, a very comfortable room, and great facilities overall. Complimentary ramen and free ice cream were such a nice bonus. We had a very relaxing stay. And a rooftop foot bath with a Mt. Fuji view was a real treat.

Nothing really, Just as advice, Gotemba might be a bit less touristy, and we didn't travel by car, so had to rely on public transport. There is a bus stop a short walk from the hotel to all the attractions of the Hakone region, but it's not very frequent during the weekend, so worth checking the schedule in advance.

The location is amazing with a great view over Mount Fuji. And the facilities are also really good, including the Onsen, a terrace with view over Mount Fuji and even free icecream, free drinks and a night noodles meal.

I booked a room for 3 people and on arrival the room had only one relatively small double bed. It was in fact stated in the booking but it accepted a reservation for 3 people on a room that would never fit 3 people. So, I ended up having to pay extra to change to another room because it was impossible to fit the 3 people included in the booking in that room

Hot spring. Snacks , coffee, ice cream after hot spring . Late night noodles .

Not recommended for little children because there is no specific entrance of the room that you can put outside shoes and change to slippers , so I guess the room carpet hygiene is same as the one in the lobby where people wear outside shoes, small children always crawl and sit on the floor of the room, and then jump to the bed, I feel it’s not really clean . When room service collects the rubbish , they don’t collect recycling ones like cardboard , you need to inform front office or go to the lobby to pass to reception, which really makes inconvenience.
