A nice well presented hotel, with a viewing deck of Mount Fuji. Just over 1 Km from Station (1000 Yen taxi). 20 minute walk to the amazing international Peace Buddhist Temple with spectacular views of Mount Fuji. There are male and female Onsons included in the Tarrif and breakfast is only an extra 760YEN each. Shop and convenience stores close by.

Only three restaurants within a kilometre radius, however the two we visited were a reasonable price.

Pretty much everything, you can tell the hotel is fairly new. I got a good size room, good size bed (I'm 6'4"), quiet, and clean, if you book a room near the terrace you can even get a view of the Fuji if you are lucky. I stayed in July so the AC was a lifesaver (you are not allowed to open the windows for safety reasons). I climbed Mt. Fuji so I wanted a nice place to take a shower and rest afterward (unfortunately, I couldn't manage to enjoy the public baths). Also, they have a little room with washing and driers coin machines that were super helpful after the climb, so you don't have to pack your sweaty and dusty clothes again. If you are traveling light, Gotemba Station is a 15-20 minutes walk

We were a family of 5 people and allocated 3 rooms (2+2+1). I requested all rooms to be on the same floor and preferably close to each other and we were given just that, rooms next door to each other and all on the 1st floor which was hugely appreciated given we had lots of luggage. There is a public bath that we never got the chance to use but very convenient especially in winter. Our rooms were of good size and free parking on site was a huge bonus. Easy check-in and check-out. Good location in Gotemba, close to Aeon Max Valu, Daiso and Uniqlo and restaurants nearby. Reasonably comfortable stay, good value for money. Microwave and free amenities in the reception area also really convenient. Chrck/

In one of the rooms with 2 people, there was only 1 towel and 1 pillow. We didn’t bother to ask for another pillow and towel as we were only staying overnight, but the room should have been better prepared given we were told this room was for 2 people. The walls and doors are not soundproof so you can hear people walking past down the hallway. This didn’t bother us because we can sleep through noise or don’t mind the noise, however, I know it would bother other future guests staying on the 1st floor. The rooms were quite hot during the night, had to turn on the air con during the night to try balance the temperature. Despite these, we still enjoyed our overnight stay and will stay here again in the future.

The staff at Hotel KAN-RAKU were extremely helpful and patient with us, our questions and assistance in shipping our luggage. The onsen was very relaxing and well kept. Them giving us an included dinner (during the summer) was a big plus. Succulent udon noodle ramen, yummy! The view of Mt. Fuji from the terrace in the morning caught us off guard, astonishing! 🗻

Good size room, free parking on site. The public bath was clean. Breakfast was respectable. There is a grocery store and a ¥100 shop across the street. There are a few restaurants within walking distance. The views of Mt Fuji from the hotel are amazing.

The bathroom is very small. The room could have used a second firm pillow. The A/C was blowing directly on my head.

The hotel staff are attentive, knowledgeable and friendly: hotel beds are nice and cosy , with good spread for breakfast each day , location is great with access to supermarket, fast food even daiso & Uniqlo too , That’s why we return to this venue time after time for its hospitality and facility

Location is so strategic, we could go to gotemba outlet, fujiten snowpark and tokyo by bus from the bus station near from the hotel, only few mins walk.

The room is very compact, staff doesnt speak english

I liked that this hotel was welcoming to sweaty hikers coming back from Mt. Fuji. There are clean showers and comfortable beds waiting for you, not to mention a hotel hot tub(public bath house). I used the washer and dryer as well and everyone was very responsible with removing clothes promptly and the machines are automatic detergent dispensers. I do not have sensitive skin so I don't know how well they would work for people with allergies. They also had early luggage drop-off available while you wait for your room.

The room size is quite large. There are facilities such as onsen. I like the big room, clean, safe, near Gotemba Auret. On the opposite side, walk to the mall, easy to use, convenient to use, with parking.

Parking is limited but don't worry, there is a spare parking lot. There are no 7 nearby, but there is a large shopping mall across the street. With the price, no complaints.

Facilities were very clean and well equipped. Onsen was well maintained, has no smell at all and breakfast selection was decent. There's a summer dinner special of udon that is free and very tasty.

Small toilet space, not so suitable for tall people.
