The location was amazing and gave another view of the beautiful area around Hakone. The room layout and decorating took us a trip back in time and we just wanted to sit in that beautiful room with our yukatas all day. The onsen was a unique experience and as we were informed it had among the best water quality in the area. Everything so well maintained and great japanese aesthetics. Also our hosts were all lovely and had awesome discussions with them. Keep up the good work!! 😊

The location is awesome, I can easily get to everywhere in Hakone. And the staff who helped me checking in was so welcoming, she shared a lot of information I needed. In door onsen room is able reserve the time slot and make it privately to you that is what I am needed. The room I stayed located at the far end corner of this guesthouse, I can hear river sound, really made me recharging.

The shortcut way from main road to the property doesn’t have light.

The private onsen, both indoor and outdoor was great, it was an easy booking system. The host were very service minded and accommodating. Free shuttlebus service from guesthouse to restaurant for dinner.

A little pricy to use the outdoor onsen, 500yen pr. Person. And it is far from sights, the roads were a little unsafe so we relied on busses (but we did have a hakone free pass and the bus stop was 2min away)

Everything, especially the warm welcome from the family who own the place (big up to Tetsuya-San!!) and the perfect private and tattoo friendly onsen

We did not try the onsen as it was too hot which is a pity. We will definitely come back during another season. The location was excellent - right by all transportation and many of the hikes. The room was perfect - very clean and very comfortable.

The local restaurants could have been better, and although we are very adventurous eaters some of our meals were only so-so however, everyone was so hospitable and friendly it more than made up for the experience.

The facility is superb, we had a nice cozy room with a garden/ river view. They have natural outdoor spring bath which even caters to private use, good for couples and families, anyone really. The hosts are very nice and friendly! They showed us where to go and have very specific guides and timetables in their property. Overall 5/5, definitely recommend and will visit again.

We had a very nice stay at Fuji-Hakone Guest House. The host was very nice and offered alot of information about sightseeing and restaurants. The guest house is very traditionel and comfortable. The private onsen is very nice and a great opportunity to try for the first time in private.

Great traditional style Japanese guest house. Everything was very clean and the staff adorable and available. It was very clear how to reach the house even though it is a bit out of the city. The onsen is private, relaxing and with a nice view outside. They also have an external onsen.

our hosts were so nice to us we were really sad to leave ...and Teito the dog is so sweet...they were very helpful with tours and maps etc...and the private Onsen is really practical...we used it every day...will come back when we come to Japan again

The room was very traditional, the futons were incredibly comfortable, and the onsens were perfect to enjoy alone! The staff was so friendly and helpful! We asked them about buses and they explained everything.
