The hotel is fabulous. Spotlessly clean, friendly staff, wonderful atmosphere and brilliantly central in the city. The room we had was a good size and had everything we needed. The breakfast was really good. The bar was a lovely spot to have our last drink of the evening. The hotel describes itself as 1960s grand and it really is. We loved all the little touches like the daily mat change in the lift, the chunky keys needing to be left at reception, sweets on reception and the warm friendly greeting received every time we returned throughout the day.
Nothing. There really was nothing to dislike in my opinion.

Walking into the main lobby is like a step back in time, but beautifully and elegantly preserved. The architectural details, the furnishings, the attention to detail... it is a delightful welcome. The staff are friendly and funny (even if you don't speak French :) ) they are so happy to help and give you tips around this AMAZING city. The bar--if you can call it a bar, it's more like a social lounge...is stunning and special. You feel like you have stepped back in time, and in the very best way. The drinks are lovely, the waitstaff are friendly, and you could just sit there for hours chatting with friends and enjoying the ambiance. The room was a fantastic size, comfy bed, a fruit snack was left for us, and they don't charge you for bottled water. The walk out balcony was spectacular, as we had a perfect full view of Place de la Constitution in all of its Christmas market glory! Another great treat from this location. We were walking distance to all the markets and we were just above the Parks de la Petrusse... Breakfast... if you really want to feel special... don't skip breakfast here. It is beautifully presented, plenty of lovely pastry, fruit and cheeses. It was a lovely start to the day. The whole experience here took us back to a time when things were done well, with taste, style and attention to detail and simple luxuries. We were only here for a day, but the experience makes us want to come a visit Luxembourg for much longer. Thank you for the hospitality
There was nothing to dislike. We would love to come back and stay exactly in the same room again. Please don't change a thing

This is an historic hotel, used by US General Bradley's press corps during the Battle of the Bulge (an information panel in the lobby gives the story). The welcome by reception staff upon arrival was friendly and efficient. The generous breakfast buffet includes a wide range of items. The rooms are spacious and include all the facilities you would expect from this grade of hotel. The location is excellent, being only 5 minutes walk away from the restaurants surrounding the Place d'Armes and a 10 minute bus ride from the central railway station.
I booked three rooms, two facing inwards and one looking out over the street. The inward-facing rooms lacked natural light, meaning you had to use electric lighting even in the middle of the day. Furthermore, my room was on the top floor and my sleep was occasionally interrupted by the sound of low-flying aircraft overhead. This didn't seem to be a problem for the occupants of the rooms lower down. The hotel supplies clean towels, but not facecloths, so you will need to pack your own if you intend to use one.

Sometimes there are those experiences that are so unique that they stay with you for the rest of your life, and oh boy, this was such an experience. With all the money of the world one can book the most expensive rooms, but you never can buy the love hospitality and passion with comes along with it by the General Manager and his/her staff. From the moment of booking, the communication and tips on which bus to take, the check-in, the willingness to order flowers by my request, and especially the initiative of Mr. and Mrs. Cravat themselves who plan some nice surprises on the occasion of my wife's birthday, such as a birthday cake and a dedicated waiter, made this 4th stay at Grand Hotel Cravat with it’s extreme friendly and always helpful staff to such an unique experience which we will never forget. The beautiful spacious room which was fully equipped, the delicious extensive buffet and especially the cozy intimate interior of the hotel itself, located in a central unique location, make Grand Hotel Cravat The Place To Be if one visit Luxembourg. Again, we are so grateful to Mr. Carlo Cravat, his wife, all the concierges and waiters. They make us feel not as guests, but family.

Very authentic hotel and interieur. Enjoyed a lot ! Very comfortable beds!
Breakfast could be better in terms of choices. The sweets were not attractive and the special food for allergies was not tasty. My friend has gluten intolerance and there was not enough food. I missed some veggies like tomato, cucumber etc. There was nice blue cheese for example but some grapes aside would be nice. Hallways are somber. Walked in without reservation and it is not possible to book at the reception. Is needed to do it via booking.com. This last part I find it very inconvenient.

- spacious and clean room - well-equipped bathroom - very good breakfast - the staff who served breakfast (waiters) - kind, discreet, efficient - great location: the best possible location in Luxemburg - the guarantee of 250 euro was returned to us promptly after check out
- the interior doors of the room (hallway, bathroom) are difficult to close and make an infernal noise - the TV is placed on a table eccentric to the bed - it's hard to watch anything on it - we had a correspondence door with another room, but blocked; there, the dialogue from one room can be easily followed from the other, without intention - slightly old-fashioned hotel, in need of some renovations - the 250 euro guarantee is a bit strange: it's not clear what it covers, nobody gives you the room after an inventory and you don't hand it over when you leave either; but, in our case, there was no problem

The location is great, right opposite one of the Christmas markets. I read some reviews which said the rooms were old-fashioned, but mine was great - it was comfortable and spacious. I didn’t hear anything from the road outside. The staff were very helpful and I’m definitely happy I changed from my previous accommodation.
It’s Luxembourg, so it’s obviously really expensive. However, I had checked out early from a really bad hotel so I was willing to pay whatever. There is a kettle with coffee etc in the room, but the plug socket is a little inconvenient.
