Very good place

When we came back to the hotel in the afternoon we ordered coffee and requested a snack. There was nothing available so i walked across the road and purchased a couple of cakes. When I asked for a plate i was informed it was not possible to eat food from outside. While we understood the reason for this rule we felt the staff member could have been more flexible as we were guests and there was no one else in the room at the time. Not a big deal but the staff need to exercise flexibility.

This is probably THE motel with the best value for money I have ever come across in New Zealand. The room and bathroom are very comfortable and modern, everything works as it should and the coffee machine makes such a fabulous coffee that I am actually considering buying such a machine. :-) The staff is very professional, welcoming and friendly and they showed me to the room and explained everything. An additional bonus is the lovely and lively restaurant belonging to the same property. They offer delicious food and I felt right at home. Thank you for everything and I will certainly be back.

Check in and out was a breeze and the customer service was amazing after a big drive. The room was nice and toasty on our arrival which was a major bonus on a Winter day and the bed, pillows and shower were amazing. We snuggled into a hot date with Netflix and had the best relaxing night after again a long drive and a funeral the following day. Would not hesitate to recommend. 5 stars 🌟

It was super cozy and comfy and clean but I got woken up about 645am to some guy weedeating on a Saturday oml then started mowing lawn just before 7am I was in room 2 it was just outside my window so annoying!! But not your fault

When I arrived I said I was booked in for accommodation the girl just walked away from me went to the manager came back to the computer went to the manager again who then came to me with no hi or welcome just said I need your ID and credit card, to be fair I should have reminded her to use her manners but I had just done a hard day at work and wanted my room asap anyway after that she was fantastic really good host showed me my room explained stuff to me. She just needed to be fantastic from the start and the young girl just needed to communicate to me 😉

The rooms were very well appointed and comfortable, they had been redorated very recently, that was done very nicely. My only concern was the price of the food in the restaurant, we felt it was a little on the expensive side, the food we had tasted fine, no problem there, but it would be nice to have a barsnacks or cheaper menu as well, We felt we had to eat there as we were a guest and had to pay the prices, if you wanted something cheaper there wasn't anything on offer there or in the town, otherwise we would rate the stay highly.

We loved our room! It was very cosy & warm (heat pump & electric blankets!) very suited for what we needed! no faults at all apart from took a while to get checked in (staff were busy) the bathroom was beautiful, we had a balcony/deck with our room & it was beautiful to sit under the trees in the sun for a coffee in the morning. Free wifi & smart tv was great! easy check out! (just leave key in lock box) I was actually kind of sad to leave haha

Absolutely amazing experience, the facilities, attention to detail, staff, would definitely go and stay again. The best pizza I have ever tasted and I have tasted a lot of pizza! The room was beautiful with a private balcony, I loved the small touches like the bath bar soap and hair bar. Just an overall great experience. Thank you team! ☺

Nothing we couldn't find a fault!

Close to the start of a walking track for our planned overnight hike in the Kaimais allowing an early start. The food and ambience in the restaurant attached to the hotel was excellent. Plenty of off street parking.

While we expected some noise from the main road there are actually a lot of big trucks passing by at night.

I was told at the time of booking that you didnt do breakfasts. But when we left the restaurant on sunday morning low and behold breakfast was being served as it was the once a month breakfast. So have to say i was quite miffed to discover we could of had breakfast there after all before setting off for home. Very poor communication with no apologies when i questioned it.

I liked the room and the well appointed bathroom. The restaurant on site is handy. Overall it is clean and tidy and very central. I appreciated the privacy of the accommodation and the helpful staff.

The main road is right outside and the many trucks driving through Katikati makes for a noisy night. Other than that it was fine
