Absolutely great hotel with such a nice vibe and interior design - both in the lobby, dining area, the rooms and so. Sweet and helpful staff and everything and everywhere clean and tidy. Full points all the way for that part.

The drawback is the parking arrangement. It’s like playing Escape room - just in your car. Absolute disaster. You need to get out and in of your car several times before you can park your car in their underground parking, which is also ‘pleasantly’ narrow for the slalom tests between the big concrete pillars. You also have to call the receptionist to get in after 23 hours - and then wait for her to walk all the way to the basement and open the gate manually. Seriously guys. I would advice visitors just to park outside, as there are good parking options right outside and it’s quite a quiet area anyway so I would not hesitate to leave a nice car outside.

The hotel is a great deal for family trips. Location is excellent for both sightseeing and comfortable transportation from/to Landvetter airport. Flygbussarna airport coach stop is just 400m from the hotel. We also enjoyed the provided half board to the full: both the breakfast and the dinner had assorted and delicious meals, coffee and tea were available all day long and accompanied with sweet pastry from 3 to 5 p.m. The pastry was so tasty indeed! The choice of food was really varied and exceeded our expectations, the stay with a toddler was the way more confortable and enjoyable. We also were kindly provided later check out possibility  that is so much appreciated. The room was very spacious and comfortable with all amenities. I can recommend this hotel as truly the best option for staying in Gothenburg.

The room was big, clean and cozy. The atmosphere everywhere is just relaxing. We had a little kitchen area that was very comfy to work from. The bed was king-size and super comfy. You can experience the simplicity of the Swedish style but also the room had everything we needed for our stay (also nice hairdryer and good quality shampoo, shower gel,…). Breakfast and dinner are included in the price which is a plus. Also the breakfast was rich and full of options both savoury and sweet. The location is also great, few minutes away from the station. We rented bikes for 3 days and moved easily everywhere in the city with those.

Staff is nice and available to answer to any questions, but they don’t do more than their job requires I would say. We asked for some help to rent bikes and got told to check online

Loved everything about our stay here. The icing on the cake was the half board and the quality of food. Breakfast had extensive options, incredible. Delicious and fresh. Dinner was so tasty and had a hot meal option plus lots of salads and veges. You could request a vege hot option and they would bring. Very delicious food, and plenty of it. Lovely comfy bed, large spacious room and great smart TV. The gym access for a fully functioning community gym was awesome, it had everything you needed. We used the laundry on floor 6, just have to ask and you can use washing machine and dryers. This was really handy for us. Location was superb, walking distance to centre of Gothenburg. Very walkable city from the hotel. Lovely friendly helpful staff. Nice to have a fridge and full kitchen, but so strange to have nothing in the kitchen. Lucky this wasn't a big deal with the half board option. I think these used to be permanent apartments. View was looking onto office buildings or over the train station tracks. We had a bit of both and it was fine, very quiet and well insulated from cold and noise.

We arrived late at night and were tired but this hotel really went the extra mile for us, On the night of our arrival there was a problem with the room configuration ,it was supposed to be a family room but there was no sofa bed in there. I had to go down to reception and was given an immediate apology and asked if my son would prefer his own room with no charge for the rest of our stay. I was amazed at their generosity and determination to rectify the problem. They really are the best, Thanks .

Nothing it really was a perfect stay.

The hotel is located close to Central station which is perfect. The amenities were good - breakfast had lots of options and there was a fika available in the afternoons which was a nice touch. The fitness center is really huge (part of Nordic Wellness chain), the best hotel gym I have seen!

General condition of the room did not meet our expectations. Our window faced onto the atrium so whenever we opened the window we got the smell of the breakfast or dinner buffet directly below us. There was no air conditioning in the room either, so it got really stuffy and felt dark due to not having any natural light. The room felt like it had been converted from an office. Our "lounge space" was 2 dining chairs facing an empty corner, with a CD player mounted on the wall - quite odd! We booked a room with a kitchen, but be warned that it doesn't include any utensils . not even cutlery! Everything must be rented for extra cost.

Perfect location, room size amd facilities in the room. Grocerystore in the same building was a extra bonus. Afternoonsnacks and dinner were something new and highly appreciated. Staffs were helpful. Will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Would prefere individual controlsystem for AC in the room. It is central AC and was not enough cold in the room. Opened the window, but had to close it due to traffic noise and pollution. The toiletteseat cover was partially loose. Needed to be fixed. Otherwise highly satisfied with room size and facilities and cleaning.

It was a nice and comfortable accommodation for a night. The room was big for two persons complete with all the accessories facilities that we needed. We like most the location the dinner and breakfast and coffee. The bed was soft and comforting. 'We slept good so calm no pressure and disturbance at all. They give us a room which is for family.

We don't like that the reception and the luggage room in different floors it's kind of hassle going up and down to have access.... and the toilet is right in the entrance before going to the reception or restaurant. We approach the reception and some guest standing right in the door going to the reception.

Staff was kind, attentive and helpful, as well as polite and considerate! Because of the short stay and the tight schedule I particularly appreciated the ability to have dinner at the hotel. It allowed me to stay focused on the issues I had to resolve during my stay in the city. I particularly liked their environmentally minded approach to both the towel service and the overall cleaning of the room: no more than necessary, minimizing use and impact of cleaning products on the local/city's environment. I didn't have time to visit the fitness center at the property, in spite of the long opening hours for it.

Missed having access to free available water, either bottled or prepared at the property, other than from the faucet. I understand that particularly bottled water has a huge negative impact on the local environment, but a glass bottle prepared at the property can go a long way to having good, clean and good-tasting water available to drink. Water directly from the faucet does often not taste as good.

We really enjoyed our stay at Clarion Hotel. Is centrally located within walking distance to the train station, and you can find a supermarket (Coop) right next to the Hotel. The room is huge and the beds are really comfortable. The Hotel also offers free Swedish Fika from 15:00 to 17:00 and the dinner served every night is warm and tasty. We really liked the breakfast options as well, specially the sections for gluten free, vegan and lactose free alternatives. This was very convenient since I was working remote and I didn't have time to take care of these details of my diet. The WiFi was quite stable during our stay. All in all, we enjoyed our time at the hotel and we will definitely stay here again if we come back to town in the future.

The cleaning of the room could be more exhaustive since it only happens once every three days. On the other hand, the distribution of the tables in the lobby and dinning area could be arranged in a different way to maximize the use of the space, since it can get really crowded during breakfast, lunch and dinner, creating larges queues, limited space to walk, and I even saw families that couldn't find a table available.
