Staff was very nice and helpful. You can really meet Swedish hospitality here. Restaurant and breakfast was stunning, plus we came 1hour before breakfast closing and everything was still there like untouched, with almost empty room, for you to have quiet and relaxed breakfast. The bathroom was truly comfortable - much space and design. Plus the view of the city of Gothenburg form 13th floor was stunning, when one wall of your room is a huge window.

Even if it was written in the rooms description about 2 single beds. I would expect a superior twin room to have one queen sized bed.

City center and nice to go by walk.. The hotel has very spacious play room next to restaurant.My kids really enjoyed it.. there are also many kids activities very close by to the hotel.. I Strongly recommend this hotel to the families who has kids under 5-6 years and of course it suits for others also.

in the booking it’s mentioned that the room has city view but we didn’t get that.. on top of that Receptionist was not welcoming and bit rude .. It was little disappointment the moment we enter the hotel.

This was a very pleasant stay! The description on Booking.com said that room had bathtub, I wasnt very happy when thats was not the case. The very friendly staff told me that this could be fixed if we were ok to change room the day after. So we did. When we arrived it was also a free drink in the bar for minors. The room had shoehorn! Breakfast was great, it was a huge selection of many things to eat. Pool area nice and clean. They also had a motorized 4 wheel scooter so elderly people could borrow it for free. Rooms were good. ok size on them. Location wise this hotel is close to Avenyn, Ullevi Stadium and Nordstan. I have no problem recommend this place. My next time in Gothenburg I will for sure come back here, espcially if the price is so good at it was this time.

Excellent Hotel for everyone, family or business people. The breakfast menu can be a little more sensitive for vegetarian people, particularly Indians traveling for business/pleasure. Being a vegetarian I found breakfast menu with very few options. Everything else is excellent. !!! We wish good luck to the entire team of Scandic Opalen.

The electricity cut off while I was ironing, and I didn't know how to reset the fuse. I called to the front desk and was told that someone would look into it. After 5 or 10 minutes I called again and was told about the fuse. A gentleman came up to the room and showed me how to reset the fuse. It's better if you tell me this at check-in.

we were very happy how much was done for children, a whole hall of entertainment. spa hot tub and sauna and benches to relax must try highly recommend it. professional people smiling and ready to help. the rooms were great and with extra beds on the wall that could be folded down for the children. and speaking of the breakfast table, I think I would be quicker to list what wasn't there. the breakfast table gets 10 without thinking. thank you for us.Halldor Bjorgvinsson. amazing views from my 13th floor room! Breakfast would be awesome if you are not vegetarian or Jewish or Muslim.

No steam room (just a dry a sauna) which I was really looking forward to. Breakfast not great if you are vegetarian, practicing Jew, or Muslim. Take Slippers with you and ask for extra duvets. Extremely lightweight and thin duvets. Specially if you are not used to travelling to Scandinavian countries.

First, they said that the Hotels parking was full, and they could told me that before i have arrived to look for a parking area. Second, the girls from the reception ( not the guys) was verry unfriendly and told me directly that they register my bank card first if something is missing or is broken they will charge me directly, and that is not the problem, but u cant welkom someone that just areived like this. Its a 4 stars Hotel , not q Camping ,and the reception should not welkome like that a Customer that just arrived, special when we come with 2 kids with us.

Good location (especially ferry port proximity), service minded personnel, sufficient variety breakfast. A bar in the hotel is always as added bonus...

Family room is just small. We would not mind paying a bit more for a slightly bigger accommodation fitting 4 people. Furniture in the bar area is dirty and require some good cleaning...

The location was Excellent, Family room with two bunks beds was ideal for us, staff was very nice, the breakfast was very good, complimentary coffee and tea. clean bathrooms, enough towels, no strange smells in the room, good sound isolation. Kids enjoyed the place and had a great time.

No Salmon for breakfast in Sweden, that was unusual..
