The breakfast buffet is to die for! I stayed here two nights back in 2019 and told anyone who would listen that I'd go back to this hotel for the breakfast alone. The amount of options, the scrambled eggs is made in heaven and the minimum croissants is something I still have dreams about. The beds. The mattresses and the pillows are so comfortable. They are firm enough to allow me good posture, but soft enough that I sink into it just enough to not want to get out of bed in the mornings. (But that breakfast calls my name). The staff is always friendly and helpful and I arrived early (6 hours before check-in) and they allowed me to store my bag in a small luggage room while I went sightseeing!

There's this metal piece on the corner of the room between my armchair and coffee table that was coming off and the glue they have used to fasten it is black, so I had a moment of horror where I thought it was black mold. (Phew) I'd recommend getting a handyman to come in and fasten it with screws rather than glue. The toilet could reaaally use another 5 cm of space to be able to sit comfortably straight forward. I'm a short person (165cm) and I had to sit sideways to not knock my knees into the tile wall right in front of me.

Check in was simple and the room was spacious. Breakfast was amazing, so much choice from juice/ fresh smoothies/ ginger shots!/ coffee etc and the food was hot options, pancakes with every sauce you can think of, warm croissants, cinnamon buns, yoghurts (and lactose free) so so good!. Location was great for the city and plenty of transport options but we walked everywhere. Shower was good and shower gel/ shampoo provided was nice too. Plenty of nice touches like fruit juice when we arrived back at the hotel (6-7pm roughly) and games to play like connect 4 in the reception area.

Rooms were a little dirty - the carpet had not been hoovered, window frames were dusty. The view was of a factory type building but that didn't bother us but may some. Our room was noisy as next to the lift so pack earplugs if you want to sleep.

My room was not fancy, but it was clean and comfortable. It was quite good given the nightly rates. The breakfast at this hotel is excellent. There is a very wide assortment of food to suit pretty much any taste or dietary need/restriction. The hotel is also located a few minutes walk to the central train station and to many attractions. Finally, the staff were excellent! I would stay here again should I be heading back to Gothenburg.

The only minor complaint I have is that the plaster in the room I had was quite badly cracked. In some cases is was taped together. This did not interfere in any really significant way with the quality of my stay.

We liked a big bathtub. Soft beds. The presence of two rooms in the room. Room cleanliness. Great breakfast. Near the train station.

Very weak wi-fi, only 32 mb/s, the tablet did not work properly, the Internet constantly hung when watching YouTube. Normal wi-fi is currently (2023) at least 500 mb/s. The feeling arises that Wi-Fi has not been upgraded for 15 years. URGENTLY FIX THIS SITUATION. The bathtub is leaking from below, constantly while draining from it, water flowed onto the floor in large quantities. There is no wardrobe, there is nowhere to put things when you undress for the night, although there is plenty of space for a wardrobe. The TV does not hang on the wall in front of the bed, but much to the left of it, although there is a place for it on the wall right in front of the bed. The lamp in one floor lamp does not work

The breakfast at all Scandic locations are always terrific and this was no exception. The room is a bit better than what you would expect for the price of the room. The location is ideal if you want to stay close to the train station.

My only real complaint is that the showerhead was partly broken; this made the showerhead twist whenever it was turned on, spraying the door and soaking the floor of the bathroom. The showerhead was handheld, though, so this could be avoided by holding it when turning it on.

The location of the hotel was within easy walking distance of the rail station where we arrived. The reception/ sitting/ breakfast area was attractive and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. The room was a quiet room to the rear of the hotel away from potential noise from trains/ trams which were close to the front of the hotel.

We would have preferred that the hotel was not so near the railway tracks but this did not bother us because our room was at the back of the hotel.

Reception staff is nicely helpful and friendly, breakfast offers a wide buffet choice, the hotel is very quiet. The bed is veeery soft and has piles of pillows. Additional great extra is a free of charge coffee/tea from the machine near reception, especially when you come back from a walk at winter night and the restaurant is closed. As we were there for Christmas time, there was also the glogg served at the reception, which is nice :)

Our suggestion for other guests would be to check with the reception, what side of the building will be the view from the room and if they are ok with that. Our daughter had a single room facing the yard with plain yellow wall. Location of the hotel is like 10 min, not 4 min walk from Central Station, which is not bad in general, but good to know realistically.

Excellent stay here during the Christmas period. The room exceeded my expectations both in size, comfort and cleanliness while the hotel is ideally situated close to all shops and methods of transport. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great too with a good variety of options!

The bathroom shower and sink were blocking up quite quickly. Especially the shower needed quite some time to drain. Rooms situated on the side of the train station will get some noise from the passing trains however those stop during the night and it didn’t cause any problems for me.

If I could give this hotel 11 out of 10, I would! The most comfortable bed and pillows I've ever found in a hotel, friendly staff, beautiful interiors and attention to detail, modern and clean facilities, powerful shower with lovely products for personal hygiene, fluffy towels, great breakfast, perfect location walking distance from the station but quiet at the same time. I can't fault it! I just wish I could have stayed longer. 100% recommended!

Location was excellent. Close to the station and trams. So many restaurants and pubs around the hotel. We wanted to be close to the Ullevi stadium which indeed it was! The breakfasts were unbelievable so many choices and everything fresh! Dining room staff ever so friendly as well as the reception staff. I would recommend staying in this hotel without hesitation. It was way above my expectations.
