I have travelled a lot and stayed in many places, and in my opinion - Dorsia Hotel is one of the kind! I did not expect even close to what I received. From the moment I walked in and met the receptionist who was genuinely kind and welcoming. I wish to point out many details that the hotel staff has thought about to make the stay better - delicious local tea in the room, no plastic bags in the dustbin (but more environmental friendly option), thick curtains to reduce light and the room was exceptionally quiet. I must mention the good quality breakfast where food was made not only to fill someone’s stomach, but also taste very well and was tastefully served + the lovely music in the background is another reason I would like to return to the Dorsia again. Thank you for making my stay wonderful!

There can be no better hotel experience than what Dorsia Hotel offered. The decor is museum quality and special, the service all around was excellent, top notch, and professional right from the check in, to drinks and dinner, to next morning breakfast, and the room we enjoyed was a once in a lifetime experience. I liked it all. Thomas helped with an early check in, Noel and Mr Johnson provided a wonderful description of the genesis of the Dorsia Hotel, and served a most wonderful meal prepared by fantastic chefs, and everything was magical! Food was Michelin star excellent! And breakfast buffet was superb. The room was a piece of art in itself!I heartily recommend Dorsia to everyone.

A beautiful themed hotel for a magical stay. The attention to detail and cleanliness of the entire hotel was exception. It was like staying in a Theatre Production. The staff were lovely, especially the lady running the breakfast bar. Great Location, fantastic breakfast spread and comfortable rooms that were very quiet due to double glazing and blackout curtains. I slept very well.

Nothing that I didn’t like, but just a few observations; The Rooms are quite small, which in contrast to the extremely grand and spacious common areas of the hotel seems odd. Also the hallways, lift, stairwells etc are very dimly lit. I understand this is in keeping with the hotels ‘theme’ but guests with visual impairments or the elderly may struggle here.

Amazing colors, amazing music, really good care of the costumer. Also nice position from the center of Göteborg. Magnificent breakfast, with so much selection and all products are super fresh. Also a big plus for hand made coffee, instead of using an automatic machine

I can’t give 10/10 only because it happened that water was missing for some hours. It wasn’t hotel fault, I think it was Göteborg city workers doing some working on the road, still it wasn’t really nice not to be able to use any facilities for 2 hours.

Breakfast was sumptuous. There was such a big choice of lovely food you could not possible eat all that you really wanted to. We also had a fantastic dinner in what they call "the Bistro" but in effect is a very lovely dining room. We loved the french music that was always piped . The ambience in the hotel is lovely! The decor of the hotel is fantastic. We were really overwhelmed.

The lighting in the room was very confusing, and as in all hotels you never get as strong light as you would like. We returned one evening to the hotel at about 22.30 and the hotel was locked up. As we did not know what we were suppose to do we knocked and knocked but no one was about. My husband saw a bell to the side and took a chance and rang it (not knowing if it was for the hotel) when a very nice young man popped up and let us in but we would have liked to have been told of this as we panicked a bit not thinking we could get back in.

Room size and breakfast

Curtains ineffective at blocking out light - very bad in fact. Shower had no screen ie bathroom was an open wet room. Water went everywhere so had to use whatever toweling etc was available to soak up water from rest of bathroom floor - otherwise bathroom was messy and a serious trip hazard. Very wasteful on towels and labor etc so therefore not ecofriendly. No slippers provided which was a pity due to bathroom issue. Otherwise, all was excellent.

Amazing breakfast and kitchy style

The shower didn’t have a door, therefore water sprayed everywhere. We had to ask the hotel for a squeegee. We had also hung the do not disturb sign on the door, because we needed to come into the room to get ready for a wedding, and they called asking if we wanted service later. We said they could come in after 16:30. We then left the hotel at 15:3 to grab a coffee before coming back to get ready and the cleaning staff was in the room and we were sent out of the room even though our time was really tight...

The Dorsia was everything I expected from a small luxury hotel and far more. The staff all went above and beyond when asked for assistance. Even the lovely gentleman greeting me each time I came in through the front door and also the lovely man at breakfast ensuring my Tea was hot and strong each morning for which I was most grateful. I hope to return to Gothenburg and stay at the Dorsia again.

Everything in this hotel is beyond exspectations. Just because of this hotel it worths to visit Gothenburg. Funny, but it's French hotel :) in each detail .. Definetely it is one of the most beautiful hotels in the World. But in addition to beauty it has everything and more: Rooms: absolutely quiet, perfect ventilation, high ceiling, the highest quality linen, comfortable matress, blackout window treatment, lots of light in a different ways (from romatic to fully bright) , aromas, plenty of small pleasant details for anything you could need during the travel. High speed internet strong water pressure immaculate cleanliness Common areas, reastaurant etc... It's just like pictures from fairytail Breakfast is definetely the best in Sweden. and again.... design... colors... music... service. I love everything It is a dream-come-true hotel. I want to stay here longer, much longer. THANKS A LOT!

My visit is over and I had to leave...

Everything was great, really! Breakfast, complimentary bikes, staff, bed and of course the fantastic stylish painting and paintings, decoration and interiors. When (not if) I return to Göteborg I will not even consider another place to stay.
