We had an amazing stay at the Clarion Draken. The hotel has a stylish, vibrant atmosphere, with lovely communal spaces perfect for unwinding. Our room exceeded expectations; located on the 20th floor, it offered stunning views. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the shower was top-notch. The location was perfect! Breakfast, which was included with our room, was excellent—plenty of options and great quality. While it did get busier over the weekend, going earlier made it much more manageable. Overall, I would absolutely recommend staying here. Genuinely one of the nicest hotel stays I’ve ever had.

One downside was the lack of a wardrobe, so we had to leave our clothes in piles around the room. This made us reluctant to let housekeeping in, so we mostly kept the "Do Not Disturb" sign on, except for one day. Unfortunately, we didn’t receive fresh towels when they cleaned, which was a bit disappointing. Lastly, be aware it appears the hotel hosts conferences, and on our final day, the communal areas were quite crowded.

The room was very humid- we hand washed clothes that took days to dry. Granted it rained but still. The mattress pads slipped around on the bed and came untucked often. There were hardly any spaces to unpack clothes and despite having a closet- only 4 hangers for 3 people. Room was very dusty- it snowed dust when I pulled a shirt off of the top shelf in the closet. For such an expensive hotel- you would think there would be shelves or at least hangers. Also- for the price I should not have started a sneezing fit when I pulled something out of the top shelf or moved the chairs in the room.

Great location for anybody attending Way Out West festival, everyone who travels by train or coming from the airport. The breakfast is absolutely wonderful, it has so many fresh and delicious options including gluten-free, vegan and lactose-free options. The staff at the reception speaks very good English and they have been very nice and helpful.

The mattress of the bed in the double room is rather old and uncomfortable, it would be def great to be replaced with new ones. The drainage system in the shower should also be checked frequently as it easily clogs with a high risk of overflooding.

Amazing breakfast, great facilities - the hotel is brand new and everything is in pristine condition. Location is excellent for this part of Gothenburg.

The receptionist gave us the wrong room number upon checkin, resulting in us finding another guest already in "our" bed. Quite awkward and when returning to reception they mostly laughed it off and said they mistakenly wrote a 9 instead of a 6 on our cards. Mistakes happen but they could have handled it more professionally. There was also some confusion around checkout, as the time given to us via email did not match what the hotel staff told us.

I have been visiting before and love the location and the style. The breakfast is wonderful best in Gothenburg. The Brasseri Draken rooftop restaurant was amazing!! I loved the service and the food ❤️

I was disappointed because the room was not clean well. Big difference when I was there in the beginning of the year and now. The carpet was dirty. It was hair in the shower. Is was dust on the lamps. Also I paid for a view and we got the view in a constitution site. That was aweful it was my husband birthday And they new that.

I don't like that the staff is trying to upsell and take our valuable time during breakfast. I have stayed at the hotel 2 times within the last 3 weeks and at both occasions the staff disturbed our breakfast time with 'transactional conversation'. I pay money to stay at the hotel. I do not want to pay with my time as well. And I do not want to be forced to be dismissive of the staff to protect my time and focus on my family.

Event tough we had booked a time for the breakfast it was packed with people and there were quite passive aggressive notes on the table that one has 45 min to have breakfast. i understand that it is a big hotel, but this did not sit very well with me and was a crappy start into the day. Doesn't make you feel welcome. Maybe just open up another seating area because the food stations were not full with people at all. Badly organised all together. Also the hallway was not clean at all

It must be one of my best 5, I ever stayed. It was a wonderful 4 stars hotel that could be five stars. Located at the best area, close to everywhere. WiFi fast, room size perfect, a wonderful and comfortable bed, wonderful breakfast, very polite staff . Everything perfect. It’s better to go everywhere on foot but it’s very easy to go by bus too. I hope I will be back

Only one little thing…. There is a huge breakfast variety and I would be appreciate if I could enjoy a fresh squeezed juice…. My only negative comment

My stay at the Clarion Draken in Gothenburg over New Year’s Eve was nothing short of fantastic. As someone with mite allergies, I often face challenges with hotel beds, but at Clarion Draken, I was pleasantly surprised. Positioned perfectly to overlook the city, we enjoyed a spectacular view of the Gothenburg fireworks. It felt like we had front-row seats to the city’s celebrations, all from the comfort of the hotel. Adding to the experience was our time spent at the rooftop bar. The ambiance was perfect for ringing in the New Year, with a selection of drinks that catered to all tastes. It was a great place to relax and soak in the festive atmosphere. The next morning, we were greeted with an extensive breakfast buffet. The variety and quality of food available were impressive, catering to a wide range of dietary preferences and tastes. It was the perfect way to start the new year. Lastly, the ease of checking in and out added to the seamless experience. The staff were friendly and efficient, making sure our stay was hassle-free from start to finish. In conclusion, my stay at Clarion Draken was a delightful experience, combining comfort, luxury, and festive cheer. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy a special New Year’s Eve in Gothenburg.
