PERFECT location infront of Kyoto station. The station has all sorts of restaurants and shops

The location was great. It was just across Kyoto station and with many food/shopping options nearby. The room was clean and comfortable. Shower pressure was awesome! Hotel amenities were also provided on a need-to-use basis; very environmentally friendly. I had the utter misfortune of losing my wallet on the way back from the nearby supermarket. The sweetest female staff at the reception on 2nd Nov 3pm helped me call my next hotel to check if they took contactless payment for mastercard. It really helped ease my anxiety as I lost all my cash and physical cards alongside my wallet and hence could only pay with my phone.

The staff on duty at the reception on 2nd Nov morning wasn't the warmest. Nevertheless, I appreciated the help she tried to render. I do hope the hotel accepts contactless visa/mastercard payments in the future because if i had lost my wallet before this stay, I would not have been able to pay.

The hotel was modern and very close to Kyoto Station, Avanti Shopping Centre and the Bus Area where we had to go for our Kyoto Tour. Beds were comfortable and staff were lovely. They even put a little sign to wish us a happy 25th anniversary. Breakfast was provided which was ok and if you don’t use your vouchers you can exchange them for a snack pack. They also helped us with luggage transfers. We enjoyed our stay - The hotel exceed our expectations.

Great value for money! —Best location as it's just across the Kyoto Station; we were able to conveniently travel to and from Himeji, Osaka, Kobe, and Nara via rapid trains (not bullet train, so the rides are cheaper and covered by the Kansai Area Pass) and to Tokyo via bullet train —Very clean room —Friendly staff —Good taste and variety of buffet breakfast —Free drinks daily in the afternoon until 8:00 PM in the dining area, where you could also bring and eat your own food (for example, if you bought dinner from the convenience store) —Common area has a functional microwave —Hassle-free check-in and check-out via the machines

Nothing really. Some comments mention that the dining area becomes busy for breakfast, but this was not an issue in our experience. You may go to the dining area right after opening at 7:00 AM (which is not that crowded) or just use the takeout box and eat breakfast in your room.

location excellent just by shinkanzen part of station. Room was lovely - lots of space, nice bath. and big window. Breakfast was busy on. the weekend but there is a take out option which was fine. No problem with crowds during the week. Staff were very helpful and we were able to get our room early even theough. we did not expect this. This will be our go-to hotel for future stays in Kyoto!

I found it fine - saw lots of reviews complaining about breakfast congestion but if you go for takeout if works fine. Maybe if breakfast was optional instead of included, they could reduce congestion complaints!

The staff were lovely and very helpful. Check in and out was very easy on a tablet. Great location right next to Kyoto Station, incredibly convenient. The bed was very comfy and you could control the lights and air con from an easy to use tablet.

Breakfast was incredibly busy even at 7am and the dining room was not big enough. You had to queue and wait to get in and people were pushing to get their food and drink. It was not a pleasant way to start the day, but the food was good quality and you could choose from Japanese or western style Breakfast items. Also, the air conditioning in my room was very poor and it would be boiling hot in the room having been out all day. They were clearly aware of this though as another stand alone unit had been put in my room for me to plug in and use as well.

We enjoyed the free breakfasts and location of the hotel is directly across from Kyoto train station. The hotel room was simple but had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and firm. Loved having coin laundry machines on the 2nd floor as we needed to do a couple of loads too. We enjoyed ourselves and would definitely return!

The pillows are really flat so if you need some lofty pillows, you may want to bring your own. Otherwise we slept just fine.

Location is great. Room was big enough (compared to other hotels it felt enormous). Hotel was very clean, loved multiple options of AC and overall we were really satisfied. So much that we were looking for the same chain in Osaka, but they were full. Also loved the tea!

The only downside of the stay was breakfasts. It looks like hotel is giving a lot of options, but I felt very limited (and I eat everything). There were 4 types of buns, but all of them were sweet. Cornflakes? Frosted and second with honey. Many salads, but with sauces/mayo etc. I think if hotel would alter the menu a little bit - it would be perfect.

Very good location, directly across the Kyoto station. Eventhough very near from the station the room isolation is really nice. The price also very reasonable and we get a good breakfast. The cleanliness of the room is excellent. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Check in and check out is very easy and quick by doing itself. If you have any difficulties, the staff always standby to help. There was also information, where you can see sakura. It´s very useful for us.

The variaties of the breakfast. We stayed for 3 nights and the breakfast is always the same. Perhaps a bit variation could be better.

One can easily tell that the hotel facility itself is new; as such the check-in/out was a breeze (touch screen) with welcoming staff right beside you ready to assist. It is directly across the main train station, a convenient jumping point to the many attractions that are walkable (Higashi-Hongan-ji Temple, Shosei-en Garden, Sanjusangen-do Temple) and otherwise. The room I stayed in was noise proof, I can see the station from my window but I hear no noise coming from trains nor motor vehicles from the busy street below. The included breakfast was also a plus. If the common breakfast area becomes busy/ full capacity, the hotel allows us to bring our breakfast to our rooms and eat it there. There were also coin operated laundry machines that can be used at our convenience. If I need additional hangers for clothes, all I do is ask and the staff brings it to my room. The bedside console for AC and lights inside the room was touch screen, the TV and streaming media controls were easy to use. Our room was cleaned everyday. The rates are not expensive as compared to others.

Although the clothes hangers were plenty and available, some closet space would have been useful.
