The inn was amazing, so homey and friendly. We had dinner and drinks here and it was fantastic, the food was phenomenal and the staff were so friendly. the room was great and huge! super cosy and because it was a Sunday morning breakfast wasn’t served early so a lovely morning care package was left outside our door, was honestly above and beyond our expectations.
It’s not particularly a dislike but the shower was quite hard to get a good temperature it was either boiling or cold & the shower door was broken so there was a curtain, I wouldn’t have noticed but the broken door was left in the bathroom

Breakfast included every morning, although not stated on when booking. It was a nice surprise and a very nice breakfast! Comfy rooms, bed was great. Beautiful homely pub. Friendly staff. Been many times over the years and I hope to stay again.
The heaters and towel rack come on at their own will, no matter what setting, even if they're off. I think they're on a timer. Definitely not the end of the world but maybe something to look at changing in the future. The windows do bang a bit in the wind. Again, not a big deal. Maybe just stick some foam buffers on to lessen the noise a little.

Good sized hearty breakfast. Helpful friendly staff. Nice evening meals (lucky as nowhere else in village to eat). We stopped in November during windy weather but room cosy and warm. Clean rooms. Close to public transport and the coast.
Ground floor rooms were first floor of pub, and above pool room/lounge which meant some noise until midnight that some early sleepers might have problem with, though of course not unexpected for booking a pub room. Shower water seems to be shared with other rooms, ie reduced to a dribble sometimes. Front door (separate entrance to pub) was difficult to close so some people left it open.

I have never slept in such an uncomfortable bed. you could feel every spring and it squeaked with every movement

The location was excellent. Staff were helpful and friendly
Broken curtain pole over one of the windows. Appeared precarious, no attempt to repair, was concerned it could have broken completely and brought curtain down. Curtains on larger window difficult to close, possible to position of drawer unit. Bathroom door kept sticking. Shower door was missing on one side replaced by a shower curtain so if Shower was misaligned soacked floor. Shower initially hadn't been turned off as power button on Shower unit was broken..... turned on and off by cord switch!

Found this after looking for a dog friendly pub with accommodation so we could visit Mullion and the surrounding area for my wife’s birthday . Booked in for one night B&B with our two Red Setters. Room perfectly adequate for our stay. The host and pub itself was really friendly and welcoming. Great atmosphere. Had an evening meal there. Both of us chose the salt and pepper squid to start, followed by the king prawn linguine and treacle tart. Really good meal. Hearty full English breakfast the next day. No complaints from us. Would use again
As the pub is advertised as dog friendly it would have been useful to have some details of dog walks in the area especially when you first arrive after a long journey and there is no beach in mullion cove to exercise them. A bit of wear and tear on the hallway and stairs leading to the rooms but nothing too drastic

I like this pub. It’s the heart of the village and has a really great old fashioned feel. It’s full of character. If the rooms are a bit shabby I don’t mind that. The bathroom is clean and beds very comfortable. Long may it stay as it is and not have a makeover! The staff are smiling and helpful. Food is good at both supper and for breakfast.
Some people may not like the rough edges such as water stained carpet or radiator which needs sanding down and painting.

Perfect location for where we wanted to be, great that we could park so close. Room was clean and well presented and serviced each day. Liked the addition of hot chocolate as well as tea and coffee in the room, good touch.
More consistencies in the breakfast and service. Waitress on the Saturday morning was very efficient, pot of tea and well cooked breakfast. Different team on Sunday and Monday morning and cup of tea served instead of pot, lack of check on us, menu inconsistencies, 1 or 2 eggs differed, but, Waitress was pleasant and prepared pot of tea when asked. It was really around consistency of staff processes and menu accuracies. Bench mark was the Saturday morning team, they were excellent.

"Old school" style accommodation, very pleasant. Great breakfast, excellent team of mostly younger staff. Dinner was great too, good bar. Room was a generous size and a pleasant place to stay. Good size bathroom with both bath and modern shower.
Curtains in my room were "distressed", unable to operate properly and needed maintenance. No bathroom fan and light mould on the blocked bathroom windows as a result.

The bed was very comfortable. There was a good range of breakfast options. I appreciated that we could have dinner at the Old Inn and not have to go out again after a full day visiting family.
There could have been a full length mirror in the room so you assess your outfit as a whole. A fixed mirror on the table or the wall near a plug would help one see what you were doing while blow drying your hair.
