Rooms with bath not just shower is something I definitely like. Also general feel of the place

There is no do not disturb sign, what if I don't want my room disturbed? Also one of the staff decided without warning to abruptly shut the bar when we were still there and drinking which is rude. Call last orders ten minutes beforehand or at least say something. Also it's a hotel the bar shouldn't close anyway!

Beautiful old building and really friendly helpful staff! Bedroom comfortable and had everything we needed for a night's stay. Stayed in stable block, view over car park not great but ok for one night. The hotel did had a lovely garden. Hotel was only 5 mins drive from the beach and a short walk from a little row of shops, cafes and a Thai restaurant.

The bathroom needed updating. Had some mould and damp and smelt a little musky, fixures and fixings rather tired and some were broken. Food in hotel restaurant not great, although they did work on getting me a gluten free dinner but this did rather compromise the taste. Nowadays gluten free options on the menu really should be offered.

Breakfast was rather large for the small we ordered. Quality very good and very nicely presented as was the evening meal. Limited choice but sufficient for our needs and limitations understandable as we were the only two diners on both nights. A shame because the food was first class in all respects and our waitress attentive (although she did overlook the music on the second evening). Very friendly and welcoming staff and room tidied very nicely. The hotel car parking is very good.

Only one chair in the room and it could have done with a small table as well. No coasters for the mugs and the furnishings were a bit marked and sticky. The bathroom could benefit from a small shelf on which to place toiletries and the basin was minus its draining plug so that there was the possibility of something going down the plug hole to cause blockage or be irretrievable. A luggage rack in the room would also have been useful.

The location was good, comfortable beds, friendly, accommodating staff, and nice a breakfast.

The room we were first put in was tiny, for the money paid. We stayed one night in that room and then were moved because we had no hot water. The next room had an extra single bed and was much nicer as well as larger. Also, the first room had poor quality venetian blinds which didn't shut out any light at all, so we were up at the crack of dawn. The second room, however, had curtains which darkened the room nicely.

Lovely hotel. Attended as a couple for the second time around for a special tribute night with dinner seeing Dan Hadfield as Gary Barlow. Food, accommodation and entertainment were all amazing. We would definitely book again.

Might have been an idea to offer a discounted rate for hotel stay for those attending the entertainment? But other than that there was nothing we didn't like.

Good location for us. Hidden gem. Good selection for breakfast. Cosy little in-house pub. Lovely, helpful Receptionist the day we departed.

Sadly we had an issue with our shower. It was resolved by changing our room. Which had a much better shower. Breakfast was cold, we had to wait for eggs and coffee ran out and by the time it was replenished, we had finished our meal. There were no beside lamps in our room, overhead spots are too bright for evenings. Room 22.

Very warm and welcoming. A comfortable bedroom with a great shower! Relaxing time spent here...

Preferred the buffet style breakfast on our first morning.....the lady serving and filling up the hot dishes was delightful, nothing was too much trouble...(but could understand that not many staying on the second day made the experience different) We had the Sunday Roast dinner...highly recommend this meal..food delicious and plenty of everything..First class!

Beautiful location, happy and friendly staff. Lots of character in the room. Spacious and comfortable well lit room. Large bathroom with two sinks, bath and walk in shower. We had a late night check-in and the members of staff working knew exactly who we were when we arrived and were very helpful. We had a tap malfunction in the bathroom and the fault was addressed swiftly by the staff.

When checking in out of hours we called the phone numbers but were left ringing inc the mobile number, we walked around the back as there was an event on and found the staff who promptly booked us in. Our only suggestion would be to carry the OOH mobile with you when out of the office.

No grip handles in bath or shower Windows in our room had notices on saying not to open them Some ares are looking a bit tired and worn out I.e. window frames are rotten on some windows, bottom tread on stair carpet is partially worn

Perfect location. We were in an annex. It had lots if room and a kitchen area. Very relaxing

The main events room was across the garden. An event was blaring music and flashing lights until nearly midnight. It was just one of those things...our event was late afternoon and the catering was disappointing so we were ptobably overtired. But all in all the hotel and our room were great
