- The temperature in the room is controlled centrally and we can't adjust/lower the temperature which got a bit too warm at times. - Not enough hanging place in the toilet

lots of steps to room difficult for me as I have a few mobility issues. pool tiny picture makes it look bigger and it is offsite. breakfast plates cold so food went cold very quickly. very noisy at night as the doors to rooms bang quite loud on shutting, mainly due to inconsiderate guests. The room was very hot would hate to stay during warm weather - we had the window open all night and they did supply a fan but the noise from this kept us awake.

The property was based in a wonderfully green location with gorgeous views of the surrounding area, and easy access to the close town (but we mainly stayed in the hotel as it was so fantastic!). The staff were very friendly, and I’d love to specifically shout out the woman (apologies I didn’t get the name!) who was in charge of the Mint restaurant on Saturday evening (2nd September) and Sunday afternoon (3rd September), she was particularly amazing and clearly excellent at her job, we felt well taken care of. Also, the food was fantastic. The facilities were fab, particularly the squash courts and pool/spa area, and our room was super comfortable and spacious. We would 100% return in a heartbeat.

The whole staff team were welcoming, thoughtful and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in a standard room with a queen size bed. Facilites were clean, modern and well maintained. Food was great, wine and beer were good quality. We were treated with respect, courtesy and friendliness. We were there celebrating our wedding anniversary and the staff and hotel manager Samantha were kind enough to provide a couple of unexpected extras to make our stay more memorable. The hotel has a golf course, spa, a medium size swimming pool and gym. Heather, in the spa gave us a fabulous full body Swedish Massge which was heavenly and very much needed, higly recommend. We decided to try the High Tea sandwiches & cakes, which were presented well, tasted great and were really pretty & very filling, well worth it. This lovely hotel is close enough to home, but far enough away to be different and a little pampering is good for the soul. We will definitely be going back soon.

Our room was very warm without any heating on and even though we had a mobile oscillating fan and the window open, it didn't seem to be very effective. We informed reception and they asked the hotel sevices to see what they could do, and they did check but it needs further investigation to find the cause. Saying that, this was the only downside to our stay and it won't prevent us from returning again soon.

My friends and I, all of us staying away for work, booked this hotel at the last minute when the heating and hot water failed in the Airbnb we were staying in. Of the three of us, I think I lucked out in terms of the room allocation. Mine was on the ground floor with a small terrace and a view of the golf course. The room was large, warm and very well-equipped. The bed was extremely comfortable. We ate dinner (in the bar rather than the more formal restaurant) and breakfast at the hotel; both were excellent, the latter in particular offering a large choice.

Stayed for one night and loved every minute. Bed was comfy, hotel and room were very clean. Shower was powerful with nice shampoo etc. Our room had a lovely terrace which was peaceful and had a nice view over the golf course. The spa pool is nice and clean with doors opening up out to the hot tub, sauna and sunbathing area. We were lucky enough to have beautiful sunshine so had the sun flowing in to the pool. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice and a nice view over the golf course. I'd suggest doing the walk around the golf course as it's so peaceful with lots of birds, along the river some lovely grazing cows and a couple of sheep too. Tewkesbury shops are minutes away by car along with the lovely Abbey and grounds. There is an Aldi just before you turn into the hotel road to grab snacks or drinks for the room so no need to leave if you don't want to!

Nice spacious and comfortable room. Excellent breakfasts. We had dinner in the hotel on the first night which was also good. We really enjoyed the access to the pool and jacuzzi. All staff I encountered were friendly. A bonus was watching the swallows fly from the terrace.

The only slight negative is the very long driveway from the entrance to the grounds up to the hotel buildings. We didn't use the car as we were attending the festival at the bottom of the driveway, but my mum struggled a bit with the final walk back up after a day out. How about a golf cart shuttle next year?!

A beautiful well decorated property in a stunning landscape. Awesome customer service Ben the bar man was an absolute credit to your hotel provided exceptional customer service. Breakfast was lovely good quality and delicious The bed was so large and comfy The shower didn’t look much but the power and the heat of it was awesome

We stayed in 212 and it got noisy due to the staff moving laundry with huge metal cages. I didn’t hear a thing but my partner did. We did say on checking out and they did say they’d have happily moved us.

Restaurant and bar seems recently renovated and it’s nice being surrounded by the calm of the golf course. Food was really great and they treated my husband to a surprise birthday dessert. Restaurant staff were really good. Spa treatments were ace and breakfast was really good too! We would recommend and would stay again!

The part we were staying in seemed slightly more dated than the communal areas but comfortable bed and good hot shower so everything we needed. There were some spiders in the hallway and due to a phobia I wasn’t keen on walking by them but others probably wouldn’t have noticed! We wanted to be able to get drinks later into the evening but we’re told that they couldn’t serve spirits past a certain time as they didn’t have the staff to do so which as residents was disappointing as it wasn’t that late.

The setting was lovely as was the view from our bedroom. Lots of places to sit outside (though beware of wet seat cushions!), plus comfortable sofas/chairs inside. All the staff were most pleasant and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Dinner was well cooked and with an interesting menu. The men in our party enjoyed their golf too.

The only thing I didn't like was the extremely thoughtless behaviour of some golfers staying in the terraced bedrooms below us. There were several of them and they chatted/laughed loudly for almost an hour from 2 to 3 a.m., presumably after the bar closed. Obviously their bad behaviour was not the fault of the hotel.
