We had a 2nd floor room looking at the ocean (an anniversary present to ourselves). The view was wonderful. The room had comfortable chairs to sit in, a nice table to play some board games, and a nice little balcony to sit out at. The location of Cambria is wonderful. The town is a relatively small, artistic town with lots of shops and places to eat. (We recommend Linn's for at least breakfast!) It's close to Cayucas (with a pier to walk on), Harmony (glass blowing and pottery shops), Hearst Castle, the Elephant Seals beach, and, if you're in the mood for a little drive north, Big Sur.

This may be petty, but the room had some smudges on the wall that couldn't be cleaned off (could have been repainted), the railing to the street was rusty and felt gross to use, and the "continental breakfast" was barely there - particularly considering what they charge for the rooms.

The location is truly beautiful. The beach front access is so convenient and views from the patio are spectacular. The beach was literally across the street from our room on the first floor. It doesn’t get better than this is you’re looking for a beach front stay. The rooms are so spacious and very well furnished with lots of seating space and with a dinning table for three. As well as two very comfortable oversized lounge chairs and ottoman in the room. And there was still a lot of room to walk around and be comfortable. The patio has two lounge chairs with a small table that is perfect for having your morning coffee or cocktail at sunset. Room was clean and well maintained. They offer complimentary continental breakfast as well, very lovely place to stay. The Sea Chest Restaurant is a few feet away next door to the hotel. Great food and very easy to walk to and from the hotel.

room was a decent size, and has a table, fireplace, reading area, and a small kitchenette with a coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave. I like that the room has a dresser and a cabinet under the sink in the bathroom.

We had a room on the second floor with a partial ocean view but the windows were also open to the parking lot and people easily could see us from outside when passing by. The complimentary breakfast could've had more varieties, they only served one type of pastry, oatmeal, and boiled eggs, no bread, butter, or jam. Would've been nice to include a few Gluten Fee options.

Great location, oceanfront room, with front patio & windows overlooking Moonstone Beach. We saw waves breaking from our patio chairs. Nice furnishings, hardwood floor, spa tub, Samsung SmartTV, comfortable bed. Really nice! Next door is a great seafood restaurant, Sea Chest Oyster Bar. We saw wild turkeys, deer & a juvenile Cooper's Hawk on Ardath Drive in Cambria. Did wine tasting in Paso Robles, approx. 35 minute drive from Little Sur Inn.

Front desk person was blunt, unfriendly, & in the wrong career, IMO.

The room was perfect...Beach front, beautiful view..2 queens...Exceptionally large with plenty of light and storage. Thoughtfully provided a standing light for those of us that need extra light to read. Bathroom also large with plenty storage. The bed was super comfortable and the covers seemed new. I can't think of anything I would change or add. The breakfast was continental with yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, bananas, snack bars, muffins--regular and also gluten free--coffee was excellent. Donna at the front desk was a treasure--friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. The young lady on the afternoon shift was also friendly and knowledgeable. The cleaning staff was excellent.

I can't think of anything I would change. It was a lovely stay with excellent room and terrific personnel.

Small inn directly across the street from the ocean, which we could view while sitting at the round dining table in the room. Our room was a nice size, plenty of space, even with a king sized bed. Upper floor is actually level with the parking lot; ocean front rooms and upper level rooms seemed to have a much better view than lower level. Nice wooden boardwalk to take a stroll next to the ocean and there is a small ocean front park down the street. I enjoyed the ambiance of the gas fireplace which also served as the heater. The “included” breakfast consisted of muffins, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, granola bars and fresh fruit, along with coffee, milk, (cow or oat milk), and assorted juices. The staff was friendly and helpful!

Upon arrival we discovered that our gas fireplace was not operational. We were given an electric heater, in case we got cold. (We didn’t.) The fireplace was repaired the next day and management issued a $100 credit to our bill for the inconvenience, which I highly appreciated!

stunning environment! Right along the ocean incredible views. Very accommodating and helpful staff!! They went above and beyond to make our stay a fantastic experience, bringing extra towels, plates, and sheets!! lovely fireplace, just made it all, so cozy and enjoyable.

The only fault I have with this establishment is that the beds were too hard for me, and my friends also commented on that we had a hard time sleeping.

The location, cleanliness, and modern design is on the top of my list when I look for properties to book and this has it all. I always look at this property when I go to Cambria. I am a returning customer with this property as well as the sister property. Manager was really nice.

I wasn’t too pleased that the continental breakfast was too late. It started at 8am and the breakfast offered was subpar for the price of the booking. Doesn’t match the property.

The complementary breakfast was simple. They serve coffee, milk, juice, yogurt, cold hard boiled eggs, instant oatmeal, a variety of cereal, pastries, and fruits. The room is clean, spacious and bright. The location is great. It's just next to the beach, very convenient to walk to the beach to enjoy the gorgeous view of the sunset in the evening.

There's no Air Conditioning. The bed mattresses are too soft for me.

The room we had was amazing and had the June Gloom not been around then we could have really been able to enjoy the location to its full extent. Sitting on the veranda watching the world go by would have been a highlight of our trip. The room more than made up for the weather :)

The breakfast was not great to be honest, we stayed in several hotels on this trip...this was the most expensive one we stayed in as a treat but the breakfast for sure no where near the best we had.
