Perfect downtown location. We walked to the navy pier, Michigan Ave, and JoJo’s shake bar! You could see Lake Michigan from our room which was on floor 17. Just beautiful skyline views I never wanted to leave! Happy hour and breakfast was great! Staff was great! Our room was a great size for our big family. Kids enjoyed the pool.

Just finicky things like peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, dust around the baseboards in the room. Beds weren’t terrible but not the best I have slept on. Pool was cold the first 2 nights we stayed and then warmer the last night we stayed.

Embassy Suites has yet to fail me. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The hospitality hour was very organized and the drinks were not watered down. Everything appeared to be clean and sanitized.

Let me start off by saying, I'm a dog owner, but I understand that not everyone is an owner or may not like dogs..for an assortment of reasons. More seriously, people may have allergies to dog fur or dander...and then we have the concern about natural animal functions which will inevitably happen at the hotel. I'd like to see rooms or certain floors designated for people who travel with their pets for sanitation reasons.

Attentive Service, breakfast was great for a hungry teenager. Free drinks were a nice add-on. All employees were courteous

I had a noisy neighbor for 2 days, children began laughing loudly at 6:00 am. I know it happens, the hotel didn't seem full, and it would have been nice if they weren't sharing a wall if avoidable. Easier access to a large trash can would be nice, I don't like the idea of leaving trash for housekeeping. I have no problem walking bags downstairs, but it would have been nice to have a quick place to dump. I wonder if the hotel couldn't work out some reduced rates program for guests with a cab service. The Ubers got really pricey, especially at certain times. Maybe a shuttle service to certain attractions? If it could be an addon service I would have paid for that.

The staff were friendly and very responsive to our requests. The breakfast and happy hour experiences were wonderful. The location of the hotel allowed us to walk to our activities with ease. Elevators were quick. Check in and out were efficient. We felt safe in the area. The room was fine and the space worked for our family.

While we enjoyed our stay and would come back there are a few things that could be improved. We did not like having to pay for WiFi. The sheets had to be changed on the pullout as they were stained - staff were quick to change them. Our room key did not work at one point and had to get help to reactivate it. I burned my hand carrying a cup of tea and have blisters on my hand, even with using the sleeve. The temperature of the water was extremely hot, just holding the cup. A shuttle to the airport would have been nice however we had no trouble getting Uber. There was no fan in the bathroom, that could help with the steam although it cleared quite quickly.

This is a good hotel in an excellent location in the center of Chicago. We stayed in a family room with 2 beds + sofa which was good. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

I found the place to be a bit run down for the price. For example, in our room, the bathroom vent did not work and the bathroom door could have used a painting. The double beds are small and cannot comfortably sleep two adults that are not a couple (for example, two teenagers). The breakfast is served in a nice space (the hotel internal patio) but we were missing variety in the breakfast itself, in particular fresh vegetables or a salad. Also, for such a large breakfast space with many options, a coffee machine that serves espresso-based coffee (Cappuchino etc) is expected. Going out from the hotel to the street involves changing elevators and going through the sky lobby which was a bit cumbersome.

It was very clean. Staff were friendly. The pool was a nice place, my kids loved it and spent all weekend in it! Breakfast was really good!

Food is very expensive. The breakfast line was super long, waited about 30 minutes or more in it. The entrance from the garage to the hotel is very confusing, but we figured it out. There were a couple people in the pool who thought half of the pool belonged to them, but there really isn’t anything you can do about that. The pictures of the view provided on the website are not true. We certainly didn’t get the view it showed us.

Great location and the rooms were large, comfortable stay for 2 adults and 3 teenagers . The snacks and coffee were a great bonus. Breakfast was good, and we liked that you got a free drink each evening.

The rooms are a bit tired and the cleaning was good but not excellent. The bathroom had hairs from a previous occupant on the floor. The sofa bed was quite uncomfortable and could do with a new mattress as you could feel the slats through it.

I loved the breakfast included. It had many delicious options to enjoy. The evening ritual was also very nice too

I had requested the sofa bed to be made and ready for our very late arrival. It was confirmed, but they didn't do it. Room service starts at 3:00 pm. I called at 3:10 pm and they were not available. I got a call back at 3:40 pm to order 2 overpriced sandwiches. The shower didn't have hot water.

Very helpful staff. Eager to help us or answer our questions. Rooms were nice, comfortable and clean.

A little confusing getting from parking garage to hotel (no signage). Breakfast was not my favorite. Has to be a better way to do omelets when you have a special request. Someone gets your ingredients together (and hears your request but doesn’t relay that request to the cook!) the cook then makes the omelets. He was working very fast and did them all the same.

They have a great location to walk to Navy Pier or lots of shopping or Millennium Park and they were pet friendly so I could bring my dog. About 9 min walk to red line. I’ve lived and stayed at a lot of hotels in Chicago and the staff at all levels were more polite and helpful compared to any other place I’ve stayed at. also really a plus that the room we had took 6 people which is rare.

I would have an easier way to manage the parking like an email when you reserve your room that says , “bring in your ticket and get an in and out sticker” or let us buy a separate digital key for the length of our stay that we could buy with our room that could activate before checking in.
