Holiday Inn Express Hotel Raleigh Southwest, an IHG Hotel

The property was very clean, organized and quiet at night. Daily housekeeping was a plus, and the housekeepers were very nice. The property was also in a good location, namely close to Dix park. The staff members are very polite, professional, and kind. Breakfast was good and featured a different assortment of foods each day.

Could have been more sidewalks around the neighborhood to facilitate better walkability.

The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean and a good size for my family. The pool and got tub were nice and the breakfast was good too. Nice to have that included in our stay. Also we were able to get all the towels and washcloths we needed. Everyone was courteous and helpful.

The exhaust in the bathroom was broken and because it was late there was no chance of it being fixed during our stay. The pull out couch was awful. I chose the suite so that my family would all have a place to sleep. Unfortunately someone did have to sleep on the couch but it was so uncomfortable they could not sleep. Other than that I have no complaints about the location.

Breakfast provided was good, well stocked and attendants very pleasant and helpful. Staff at front desk was great. Crystal was especially helpful answering a number of questions we had about the Raleigh area. She was very knowledgeable and thorough in her responses.

We were in Room 210. The only issue we saw were the multiple stains on the fabric of the luggage bench. Walking into the room, we were super pleased, but a little disappointed to see those visible stains on something just about all guests are going to use. Other than that…the room was good and met our expectations.

The grounds were clean and decent. The beds were very comfy and the white blankets and sheets were very white. The pillows were good quality. Tv was awesome. The staff was awesome!

I found a used mask under the headboard on the box spring. I just happened to flip my pillows and noticed the gap between the mattress and head board. The Keurig was broken. Upon speaking with another guest, their Keurig was broken. There were no tissues. The mirror was clean but the frame was old and beat up-not a big deal on the mirror frame, I guess. The Coke machine was empty. The downstairs snacks were crazy expensive.

The property was in a good location, right off of I-40. Very quiet area, although no restaurants nearby. The staff was pleasant, helpful, and efficient. Our room was clean. The pool was small, as was the hot tub, which didn’t seem to work correctly (no bubbles). The free breakfast was good with scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, a few other things (this could have used a few more options.). overall we had a pleasant stay and would recommend it to others (unless you’d like restaurant options nearby.)

Call the hotel booking line to check the pet fee before booking.com. Was told there is none. That was one of the reasons to choose this one. Upon checking in, I was told the pet fee was $30. The hotel staff did provide a complaint number. Too busy to call. Everything good except this inconsistency.

I really thought Victoria was quite efficient and and polite! Christy also turned in my friend’s purse when she left it during breakfast. It has her migraine medication , credit cards and a lot of extra things that were important to her in it!

The kindness, politeness, willingness to help and the accommodations were very beautiful and well kept!

This is a beautiful hotel in a very accessible location, close to I-40 and a short drive to NCSU. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet. The only hall noise I heard was one door slamming one time. The room was spacious enough with added convienences of a mini fridge, microwave and single-serve keurig. The property also has an indoor pool and hot tub that were very nice.

I was surprised that being in the capital city of NC where the governor has lifted most restrictions, the protocols here were still pretty strict. Masks are still required in all public areas, breakfast is still very limited (only individually wrapped items) and served my a staff person, and only 1 traveling party per elevator. I have no issues with them still following these restrictions and no issue complying, but it just struck me as odd.

Everything! Breakfast was great, room was amazing, front desk team was top tier at all times!

The cleaning staff did not speak English at all. Luckily I understand Spanish but what about the people who don’t. I had to help people ask for towels.

What I don't like is no hot water running to the sink. I don't know if it is in every room or just the room they gave me. Everything about the room and hotel is a 9+. I didn't give it a 10 cause I am afraid of a four leg creature. Sorry.
