Parked in the garage and the location was perfect to access the riverwalk. The restaurant area was absolutely amazing, our waiter along with the bar manager made sure my son and I had everything we needed followed up accordingly and tied the entire experience up to be amazing...thank you!!

The pastry area has great snacks but unfortunately the morning we were leaving my son and I went down for coffee and were not greeted as kindly. I know it was indeed early in the morning but that did tweak it a bit for us towards the end of our trip.

Ambience inside the hotel was beautiful.

The garage smelled like urine and feces offensively. The pavement was sticky. It was how I entered the hotel so I was thinking it was about to be terrible mess indoors but once we held our breath through the garage and the garage elevator, we were pleasantly surprised. The fragrance over a couple of days grew overpowering though. If I stayed just in the lobby area, I would get a headache from the constant aromatherapy smell.

location is excellent (riverwalk, restaurants, lego and sealife inside shopping mall), staff super helpful, elevators are amazing and work really, tons of options from the cafeteria and bar.

valet is slow, checkin and checkout even slower (system super confusing eg $120 deposit had to run 3 cards and still the numbers did not match what I have paid on booking). frustrating part... Swimming pool below average for a hotel of that caliber

the location to the river walk and mall was amazing! didn’t have to drive anywhere. everything you need was just outside the door

the first room we got, the refrigerator didn’t work and the paint in the bathtub was peeling. we moved and fridge worked alittle better, needs to be taken out of the cupboard and they will cool off more. and then after the second night of baths, the bathtub in the second room also started to peel the paint. other than that it was amazing.

Leaving is always a struggle we waited 35 minutes on vehicle to find out they hadn't even left to get it I had to speak to a manager to finally get it 15 more minutes later I know these are contractors but Marriott does pick them Some tight spots in room Some rowdy kids up and down elevator late at night

The proximity to the River, shopping and dinning.

When I arrived I asked for a specific floor and the staff said it was not available. No biggie. Go to the room and it wasn't what I reserved. Called the office and they gave me the right room on the floor I originally wanted. Worked out in the end, but why tell me there wasn't any rooms on that floor when there was.

acces everywhere

what they offer online about the room. view to river walk nothing. privet room on junior suite and nothing. acces to balcony and nothing. I stay two nights and they did not clean the room second night and found dirty clothes on the closet when we check inn. the fridge doesn’t work.

It was convenient. We had tickets to Legoland Discovery Center and Sea Life exhibit and we never had to step outside to get there. The mall was disappointing because they didn’t have the Disney store anymore, but that’s not Marriott’s fault. Our view was nice from the 26th floor. The staff were very nice and accommodating and interacted with my daughter, especially the valets and bellhops.

It was extremely hot in our rooms at many points throughout the days. We have an infant and she runs hot; we got back from the zoo on Sunday and it took a long time for her to go down for her nap because she was hot from that and our room just was not cool enough for this Texas heat. Also piggybacking off the infant thing, our room didn’t have a bathtub and it was difficult giving her a bath in the shower, but we managed.

Excellent location. Adjoined the mall, and was walking distance to the Alamo, the Riverwalk, and San Fernando Cathedral among other locations. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Swimming pool was not heated and needed to be skimmed for debris.

Got a “city view” room expecting a west facing room with views of Downton San Antonio and instead got a north facing view instead of an actual city view. We also found a pair of socks on the room.
