spacious rooms, bottled water provided, helpful staff, bus stop in front of hotel

Rooms on the south side - towards E st. are very noisy because of old windows and the ventilation from the subway, which is very loud and you can hear it 24/7 After complaining we’ve gotten room on the north side which was much better.

It was boutique style, furnished with vintage furnishings. The staff was always very accommodating and helpful. There was a bus stop right across the street that made sight seeing easy. It is within walking distance of a Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts, and a CVS drug store. Very close to the George Washington University campus (walking distance). Also within walking distance of Vietnam War Memorial, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial (about half a mile).

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the property. We had a great stay.

I've stayed here on many occasions. Staff was amazing as usual. Location is perfect for visiting National mall. Very safe part of city with a good 24hour CVS next door for anything you need. Lobby and hallways very clean and well lit. The room was next to the elevator and you could never hear it running or people coming and going

This wasn't my first stay here so this was not typical of all my previous stays...No exhaust fan in bathroom so showering made the room very humid. AC barely kept room comfortable. Only one night-stand so we had to cram all phones and everything needing a charge to one side of bed.

WE liked that the rooms were large and very spacious. The kitchen was in a separate space and it was fully equipped. We had a store next door to buy things to keep while we stayed for couple day. The beds were comfortable and the staff really nice an accommadating.

everything the hotel had was great only I wish I knew across the street there is a large amount of homeless people sleeping in tents. They did not bother us or anyone. But if I was traveling alone I would have like to know. Again it did not affect our stay, but maybe someone else could find this useful.

very nice location! walking distance to the national mall. if we would have tried parking closer we would have been stuck in traffic for hours. I was so impressed with how clean it was! I would definitely go back just because of the location and how clean it was.

there were stairs going from the check in seat to the elevator. it was okay for my husband and I. we would just lift our daughters stroller but I could see it being a problem for others. the parking was also expensive but the staff were very helpful finding a public parking garage.

Location was great. Everything within walking distance. Room was spacious with a small kitchen. The hotel is next to the university and we felt safe walking to different restaurants in the area. Overall great experience. The Garden Cafe has the world's best waitress. She is amazing.

A shuttle to and from the airport would be great. We also think a small market were guess can pick up snacks without leaving the hotel.

I had a lot of work in my room to do. The desk was a great height; the chair more comfortable than mine at home! LOVED having a kitchen so I could make my breakfast. I really loved the vanity table and mirror! I don't have anything like that at home and totally want it now. Shower was good too. Location...wow! I walked all over the city to all the attractions, Smithsonians, White House, monuments. I walked to lunch. To Whole Foods in the GW campus area for supplies. I even walked to the theatre to see Drunk Shakespeare. It was perfect for my needs! Bed was comfy too. I LOVED the noon check out time too.

Grateful for the air conditioner but it was a little loud, like a machine getting started and turning over pretty fast.

Here’s what I liked about the property: Location Value The Room The Bed

Navigating the two buildings was very confusing. (I was there 4 nights.) Front desk in ability to reserve my 5:30 AM cab to Dullas. : / The in room TV. Remote control was in efficient. Where did they buy these TVs from the Fred Flintstone show? Analog television really screwed up the overall impression of the property. I love the square footage of the room and the kitchenette but these little things kept you from getting a five. Kudos to your house keepers for a very clean and organized room. Also, I kept the “do not disturb” sign up and they left me alone. Excellent! I’d recommend!! Cheers!

We were very late checking in because of a delay in the trains I called the office they held our rooms for us until two in the morning. The front staff was always pleasant and smiling. The room was clean, comfortable and having the kitchen it was a nice perk, the free water upon arrival was nice as well. They had cleaning service, and the women were extremely nice and helpful. We definitely use the coffee maker in the room which was replenished every day. Love the separate vanity room and bathroom made getting ready in the morning extremely easy. You can’t beat the location. We were in walking distance from the Kennedy Center, the pier, and the monuments there is a CVS right next-door and a liquor store if you need, walking distance to a Dunkin’ Donuts and a Starbucks as well. Honestly, it was a pleasant find and a surprise I will definitely stay here again without question.

Across the street is a park, and there were some homeless people set up tents. Only one night did one of the women come over to us. It’s not the hotels fault it’s definitely seen all through Washington.

Location was the primary reason for selecting this property as we could walk to all the attractions. Although parking in the hotel was expensive, it did provide peace of mind given that it was gated and below grade. We were impressed by the professionalism of the staff, whether front desk, door security, cleaning staff.

We had lunch once at the hotel. The food was very good. We were the only customers at the time. When presented with the bill we added our usual 15/20% gratuity and didn’t notice a service charge of $12.50. We were not aware that this type of charge is now common and would have reduced our tip. We did not have any further meals at the hotel as we wanted to try different restaurants.
