Located two minutes walk from the station. Although busy the area the hotel is situated in is a welcome respite from the crowds at the main attractions of Venice. Clean and comfortable room. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the grand canal was stunning.

Didn't bother us, but hotel is a good 25 minute walk to the main tourist areas of St Mark's square etc., so unless you fancy a trip on the canal bus bring your walking shoes. Wasn't too impressed that hotel bar was closed to guests without notice one evening due to a private function, denying us the opportunity to sit on the terrace with a drink and watch the world go by. Staff didn't seem too concerned about the inconvenience to paying guests. Thankfully we were there more than one night, others might not be so lucky.

Great location only three minutes walk from the St Lucia train station. I asked for a great room with a balcony overlooking the Grand Canal and I got one. The breakfast buffet was elaborate and good. Every morning you can have breakfast on the Grand Canal what's not to love? My bed was comfortable, in fact very comfortable. The toiletries provided in the bathroom were of very high quality, especially the shampoo and soap. Nice terry cloth cotton bath towels. They also had these other linen towels I'm not sure what they were for I guess hand towels. I've never seen those in a hotel before. I should have asked what their purpose was. The bathroom was decent size and the shower was especially spacious. Two decent sized elevators; you don't normally see that in an Italian Hotel. The housekeeping staff was especially good. They took excellent care of my room. I had a little food poisoning incident they were very understanding and took measures to clean my room thoroughly. The decor in the common areas of the upper floors was interesting. Great posters in the hotel promoting events and I was able to see Vivaldi's Four Seasons performed live. I'm kind of kicking myself because I had a booking for this place at an incredible price per night and I cancelled without penalty when I went back to rebook it had gone up about 25% per night catch them early and you'll be very happy

The carpets in the common areas were a little threadbare. I've seen this mentioned elsewhere and I will say some (but not all) of the front desk staff seemed a little sassy and sarcastic, There's a governor on the room air conditioner to keep it from going below 21 degrees Celsius. In a way the place is a little close for comfort to The Tourist area of Venice. Some people might see that as a plus I saw it as a negative. It's one of those cost/ benefit things: easy to walk from the train station but then you sort of pay the price. It wasn't clear there would be a charge for the small bottled waters in the mini fridge.

the room was right on the main canal, we had a corner room with 4 windows. the decor was lovely. the breakfast was nicely organized and well decorated. it was a lovely room. Lobby was nice, even the lobby bathroom was pretty with chandeliers.

the elevator went to the floor, but there was an additional 16 steps up a hot staircase to get to the room. The housekeepers were very noisy in the hallways. Claimed on site restaurant and bar, but they were never open. Sent us down the road to find a place to eat and drink.

Facility very cleaned. Staff was amazing. Breakfast at Principe Hotel was an incredible experience, everything is fresh, delicious, well made and the best ham and bacon I ever had in my life. Love my room with a canal view. Next time I will get a room on upper floor as I will have a better view. No complaints, as I have a veranda with table and chair where I was able to appreciate the busy life on Grand Canal with Gondolas, boats and people come and goes. Loved it.

Honestly, everything was perfect! With Hotel Principe you are on the right spot to enjoy Venice.

nothing to complain, just few things to make our stay better: some vegetables at the breakfast would be really nice; better Wi-Fi connection in the room - I had a signal in the bathroom, but not in the bed, even with a signal - nothing uploads.. so I was sending messages to my family from the toilet, not resting in the bed after a long day haha reception staff speaks arrogant, but not all of them, don’t worry

loves the location and cleanliness of the hotel. the hotel is very close to the main train station as well as the drop off location if arriving by taxi. The hotel itself was very clean and staff was accommodating

our shower was a bit hard to use. it was on the smaller side and there was no curtain/ closing door to the shower, therefore every time we tried to shower water came spilling out and making the whole bathroom floor wet. we had to keep calling for extra towels to lay on the floor but staff was always accommodating and brought extra

Excellent location, easy walk to the train station and public transport. Hotel has their own pier so very easy journey to the airport via water taxi. Good choice for breakfast. Room was spacious as was the bathroom.

Internet didn’t seem to reach our room, but available in the dining room and comfy waiting area lounges, so not too inconvenient. Seemed a little slow to serve you at the enquiry area. Do not take their recommended tour of the three islands (think it was Lagoon Tours). Boat was terrible, 2 1/2 hours in Murano, 1 hour on Burano, and 1/2 hour on the third. Very unhelpful. Find another tour or just take the public transport and island hop yourself. We left them in Murano, had enough by then. Just took public transport ourselves, so the organised tour was a complete waste of Money.

This Hotel I would certainly book again, and also recommend to others. The staff were very courteous and very helpful The rooms were exactly as in the photos on the Booking website. The rooms were cleaned, and well done, the Terrace was perfect, the breakfast was excellent. the security was Optimum. EXCELLENT HOTEL!!!

The location is great-very close to the train station, one of the main water bus stops, and the bus station isn't too far either. Breakfast was delicious and abundant.

We were frustrated at check in that while we were waiting in the lobby for our room to be ready, about 6 couples arrived and were given rooms immediately while we waited an hour. Yes, we were early, but so were all of the others. It seemed like they could have given us a room that was ready since we were there earlier. International travel is exhausting, and this was a long day. Not the biggest deal, but a frustration when you are so tired.

Location was good, close to the train station - no bridges to pass with suitcase. Amenities were OK, breakfast was good albeit the same all days, great view of the Grand Canal.

The room was right above the trash collection - very noisy every morning after 8am. It is fascinating only the first day to watch the way Venice deals with its trash and recycling. The only good part of this is that it obliged us to wake up and leave the room early. Also, the people in the adjacent room had problems and were fighting late at night, we could hear them quite well as the insulation between the rooms was under par...
