Hotel Chabrol Opera

Room 2 on the ground floor was a big enough room by Paris standards and even the en suite had plenty of room. If you are looking at the photos I attached, the bed sheets were tidy when I entered the room. This photo was just after checking around for bed bugs due to recent problems across Paris, which I did not find any trace of during my stay.

The seals around the shower doors do not keep all of the water inside of the shower so you will easily have a puddle in the middle of the en suite floor if you don't have a towel on the floor to soak it up.

Located on a side street, less than 10 minutes walk from the Gare du Nord, this was fine. The room was comfortabl;, the shower-room quite big with good hot water. The fan was welcome to keep cool and muffle the street noise when the windows were open. Breakfast in the tiny reception area was surprisingly good, with a great choice of breads, yogurts, jams, cheeses, etc Coffee out of the machine was good. I think guests can access the coffee machine at any time. The Poissoniere metro station and bus stop are both within 3 minutes walk

We loved our stay, super close to Gare du Nord (we came via Eurostar) great room (decent size for Paris for the price)and the staff were all lovely, both before our stay via phone and whilst we were there. Room was a decent size, bathroom facilities great, breakfast included and right by the metro so we could walk to all attractions or jump on the trains! Couldn’t fault it! Lovely patisserie and restaurant close by for breakfast/brunch! It was freezing in Paris on our visit, but room was lovely and cosy. Stayed with my 16 year old daughter and felt safe in hotel and neighbourhood. Would recommend and stay again.

Tea/coffee facilities would have been nice but a nice excuse to venture out for coffees etc

The Hotel is near Gare du Nord and a Metro station. We arrived before the check-in time and we were able to leave our bags and go for a walk until the room was ready. We also left them after check-out. The staff was friendly and the rooms were getting cleaned every day.

The room was small and since it was on the last floor, the ceiling was low at 1/5 of the room which made it even smaller. We were able to hear people from other rooms and there is some noise from the heating system when it's working.

I would of liked a kettle in the room

the room exceeded expectations. the room was clean and well presented with a nice bathroom. it was great that we could turn the heating down and open the window, which was exceptionally well insulated for sound. The towels were changed as needed daily.

I would have liked the property to have had coffee/ tea facilities in the room, which are pretty standard even in budget hotels in England. There was also a faint drain smell on occasion and some damp, which had been painted over, near the entrance door. Otherwise I would have rated the hotel 10/10

Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Room quite large for centre of Paris and good lift, though we still had a few stairs to climb as it only goes to 4th floor. Good breakfast. Very close to metro at Poisonnieres and to both Gare du Nord and Gare de l'est. Good restaurants and bars nearby.

Cleaning/kitchen staff quite rude at times and vacuum cleaner left on stairs which was a clear fire hazard.

Worth price in my opinion, nothing fancy but compact and cute! Always clean and did the job for somewhere to rest our heads in between exploring the city. Plenty of cafes and little bistros nearby, not too busy and metro stations located within 10 minute walk

During our last few stays there was construction that started at about 8am which was obviously not ideal although not 100% sure it was within the hotel. Also wouldn’t bother opting for the bed and breakfast option here as it looked very basic

Excellent value continental breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable beds. Skylight over the room providing extra natural light. Close to Gare du Nord and metro system made arrival/departure from Paris by Thalys & Eurostar easy as well as sightseeing.

Room was very crowded having both a double bed and single bed, however this would be great for a small family. Room was wheel-chair accessible on the ground floor with the door being in direct line-of-sight of the street, albeit at the very back of the hotel, reducing privacy when the door was opened. However if you need wheeled access this would be a good option.
