Hôtel Esté

I took a bit of leap of faith when booking here because there weren’t any reviews, luckily though they started to pile in. I loved the location of this hotel, it’s literally a walking distance to most places. It was also super accessible to get to and from both Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est. I was solo travelling and came back late at night sometimes but I still felt so safe. The staff were really lovely and hospitable, if it also rains they also have umbrellas you can take and return for the day. I went for a single room which was really spacious, it was very chic and modern, super comfortable and the pillows- my goodness they provided you with a FANTASTIC nights sleep. The shower was amazing, the pressure was perfect. They really manage space very well in the single room- loved it.

I booked this hotel for my son who is studying in Eastern France. I took a chance because there was only one review that was a "10". It actually just opened 3 days ago. My son was absolutely thrilled. It was right by the Gare du est and is clean and modern. He wants me to book it for next weekend. They also let him check a bag so he could pick it up on his way back out of town. They had a buffet breakfast that was convenient for him.

He loved it. They had an issue with the visa card reader but another card worked. He's ready to go back.

The staff were superb. We made a few changes and there were a few issues due to the Paris riots and the hotel having just opened but the staff did everything possible to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The location is also very good with the metro just 3 meters away! (Gare de l'Est) The Spa and gym are small but very stylish and well equipped (albeit the sauna/pool are an extra cost of 30EUR per session which is a very short one) Breakfast was excellent despite the small space available and not excessive.

We wanted twin beds but we only got this after repeated reminders which for a short stay was very inconvenient. The extra supplement for the sauna/pool is excessive and the session very short. We were on the 5th floor (out of 6/7) facing the mini internal courtyard and the only real problem is that the extraction fan at the top of the hotel is so extremely loud that it felt like being in an airplane. Opening the double glazed window was like being on the runway of an airport and this continues late into the night unfortunately. Cannot compare with the noise of the road facing rooms but I suspect incoming noise will be lower in those rooms

The location is good if you arrive Paris from train station. It is easy to get anywhere by train or metro. Hotel is new. It is a bit small but probably like most of Paris hotels. The staffs are friendly. One little thing I think they can improve is to offer a welcome drink or water for guests who is waiting for room. I arrived at 12pm and the room wasn’t ready. I was sitting in the lobby for 3 hours. No any drink or even water. The room seems ready before 3pm, I was just sitting in front of them. No one tell me the room was ready. Till 3pm, I went to reception to ask my room. Normally i would not care that I didn’t get the room earlier. But this is a really small hotel and the lobby is like 10 square meter big. I am just wondering if they didn’t see me at all. Probably if the service is a bit better, they might deserve a 10. I think this hotel is a excellent choice for people who arrive to train station with a luggage.

There is no really any facility or common area. You just go to your room and sleep there.

Great Stuff, arranged us room 3 hours prior our original check in as we arrived early. Also arranged higher floor. Just excellent. Stuff was helpfull and friendly. Flat was with great french balcony. All new and clean. Traffic outside quite active at night/morning, but was not hear almost nothing with windows closed. Highly recommend to stay here. Many metro lines just next to the hotel. Also small cafes/bistros within 50 meters from hotel.

I didn't like that we had just 2 nights there, i would like to stay longer. :)

Excellent accessible hotel room and wet room shower. The staff were fantastic and helped us out whenever we needed it. We were travelling as a family with two teenage sons, one of whom uses a wheelchair, and they put our rooms next to each other. Very smart decor and lovely breakfast.

As we weren’t using the Metro, it was a bit of a walk to the river with the wheelchair. However, there is a taxi rank opposite, in Gare de L’Est, and they were great taking us in and out of the centre of Paris.

Metro station is literally ten steps away from the lobby so very convenient for getting around. Also very close to the main stations for the Eurostar etc. We walked the distance with suitcases and it was easy. The hotel is brand new and gorgeous, perfect for a short stay.

Not a lot in the surrounding area if you are a tourist but as I stated it couldn't be closer to a metro stop so easy to get around. The area probably wouldn't be my pick for a first time tourist though

There were so many wonderful things about this hotel. I’ll list a few…. Staff were all very friendly and kind, room was very cleverly designed (at first appeared small but the shutter design made the 1 room feel like two - amazing!), the breakfast was perfect (great choice and seating area calm and civilised), the metro was right at the door of the hotel, ten mins walk from a lovely canal, local shops…. I could go on…. I’d definitely stay again.

We loved the location so close up the train station. But still a nice walk to Canal St Martin and restaurants. New, clean, quiet with a comfortable bed and an opening window. We didn’t use the pool or spa but it looked good.

We booked a standard classic room. It was quite small. For one night it was fine. So go for a slightly bigger room if you want to spread out.

The staff were extremely helpful, luxury rooms, a lovely little courtyard and drinks at the restaurant after a long, hot day. The staff always made sure we had water to keep hydrated. The location is amazing, right near the Metro and main train station. The cafe on the corner was a great go to for coffee as well!

We loved everything.
