Lovely clean hotel, great staff. Very helpful and friendly

The area has hundreds of migrants hanging about the Gard du Nord railway station dealing drugs and counterfeit cigarettes. Every time you go out you're asked for money. It's not just in this area it's everywhere. The tourist hot spots are especially bad. We saw lots of rats at the Eiffel tower and at Sacre Coeur. The streets are dirty and there is Graffiti everywhere. Take extra care on the public transport. I had my wallet stolen on a packed bus. It was 22 years ago since we went to Paris and it has gone downhill. We won't be going back.

Hotel is minutes from Gare du Nord, yet removed from the unpleasantness of a station area. Very fine old Parisian building on a corner, I had 5th floor room with a balcony. French windows (literally!) and strategic touch of net curtains which some places don't, forgetting their guests may want privacy. Walk a few minutes and you are on the bridge over Gare de l'Est train lines, with an urban park. Very quiet room (except for roadwork on street, obviously not permanent). Lounge area downstairs cosy, has pencils and colouring sheets, relaxing place to wait before heading for train.

Not the only hotel to have no mirror exposed to natural daylight, and hair dryer in bathroom the basic type that blows your hair in 3 directions at the same time. Very minor quibbles for an overall very pleasant stay.

Brilliantly located right next to Gare du Nord and Gare de L'est (took us 2 minutes to get to escalator up to Eurostar terminal at GDN). Bed comfy, great water pressure in the shower, breakfast is ok too and Gluten Free bread available on request if you have an allergy for that. Loads of restaurants nearby if you want food on your doorstep (Cafe du Nord serve food until about 11 pm, reasonably priced, good variety etc) and just 10 to 15 minutes from main city centre on RER / Metro lines.

Bathroom a bit cramped cos we were on the pointy end of the building (hence the 9 rather than 10), otherwise all was good.

amazing location, it was easy to get to the metros and perfect for after a plane journey, just outside ! The facilities such as the bathroom were just what we needed, shower water hot and clean bathroom space with large mirror ! Loved our little balcony window and the bed was amazing, so comfy I slept very well ! The staff were amazing and attentive, anything we needed they helped and made sure we felt comfortable and welcome. the check in and check out was straight forwards and stress free. couldn’t be happier with my stay and already planning to come again next year

On an evening outside can be noisy however only night I struggled to sleep was a night football was on and I think there’s a bar next door so not the hotels fault !

The location was very good as it was only a few minutes from the Gard du Nord and L'est stations. The buffet breakfast was nice continental breakfast there was also hot breakfast ie scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel until Check-in time as we arrived early. The room and bathroom were clean.

Everything was OK, I liked everything.

I wanted to stay very near the Gare du Nord so I could catch an early train. I wouldn't normally choose such a (comparatively) pricey hotel for a stopover, but I wanted to be sure of a comfortable, stress-free stay between two days of travel. Typically for Paris, this is a compact hotel - the room was small, but quite smart, well-equipped and comfortable. There was a small bath as well as a shower. There is a pleasant lounge area near the reception desk. I didn't have breakfast. Staff were helpful and the security (this isn't the most salubrious part of Paris) was good. Given how expensive Paris is, if you want to stay in this area the Albert 1er is probably a good choice.

Everything was fine - the only small point was that the carpet could do with a clean!

This hotel is in a very handy location close to two large train stations. Despite being in a very busy location the room was quiet with nice little balcony. The air con was a very handy feature as it was very humid during our 5 night stay. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was great. Loved our stay in Paris!

The room was very small, especially the bathroom but everything worked well and was clean. The area surrounding the hotel had a lot of people hanging round at night but we had no trouble. The door is locked after 10pm so we felt safe. Beware of pick pockets on the crowded metro! We fell victim , they are very good at what they do unfortunately.

Room 53 (5th floor) Compact room and bathroom, room kept cool by air con. Very clean hotel generally and room in particular. Good choice of breakfast. Knowledgeable staff. Ideal for a 'tourist' visit when used as a place to lay your head between tourist activities. Lots of good street restaurants within walking distance. 200 yards from Gare du Nord and same to the Gare d'Est on the other side. Do not miss a walk round the inside of the Opera House. Book Eiffel Tower visit and visit time before you travel. You still queue but its quite efficient and the views are spectacular. Louvre closed on Tuesdays.

No problems. Room was as expected - compact. Shower over a bath. Will stay there when we return to visit the Moulin Rouge. If you are intending Moulin visit you must book weeks in advance.

So amazing! central for food, the train station & pharmacy. I particularly loved the fact that it was central to everywhere I planned to visit. It was 1 minute walk to Gare Du Nord which is one of the major train station. It was really easy to get around to the city center. The staff were polite and helpful all the time especially Godwin. I would recommend it and definitely will be staying here again.

I think it was a bit over priced for the size/standard. Also the breakfast option was extremely limited and I had to eat breakfast outside on some days even though I paid for breakfast.
