the hotel was ideal, modern style, great facilities, friendly staff, snacking bar in the foyer open at all times.

Nothint wrong with the hotel, it was a central location next to the station but it’s worth anyone staying there to be aware that there are groups of young men who hang out on the corners trying to steal from tourists and trying out scams to make money. It’s not an issue if you do your research on the scams, don’t speak to them and hide valuables. This happens across Paris but one of the hot spots is by the station which is located next to the hotel.

The location excellent but the hotel is set back from the street in what looks like a building site. I thought I had the wrong place until I got inside. Off putting and prevented me from giving Excellent rating

Modern, clean and comfortable hotel with free coffee/drinks and snack round the clock.

Breakfast was good but the food was not refilled until I asked. Access to the hotel is a bit tricky as it is located below street level. More indications and signs are needed.

The location was the bonus for me. It was my first time in France and I'm not accustomed to a "big city" such as Paris being close to the Gare de 'e s t Station kept me from getting lost. The staff were very helpful and friendly. the rooms were small but so well arranged I didn't feel cramped. I have to say when the taxi dropped me off on the "top" side of the hotel I was nervous - there was nothing there but a gate with a big pad lock on it. But, after you get inside and go over to the "station" side it is decent. it's a working class neighborhood, not the touristy, type and that was fine with me.

The rooms were very cute, aesthetic, and clean. The whole vibe of the hotel was beautiful and modern. We loved the 24/7 lobby snacks - such a great addition! Staff was always kind and friendly. The hotel was very close to both the metro stations, about a 2-4 minute walk.

Sadly there was no daily room housekeeping service. We were there for 6 days and only got housekeeping twice. More variety in the snack foods in the lobby would have been great, especially more vegan options (there was only gluten free). We also never saw the apperitivo and every time we went it was just alcohol, no charcuterie. There's not much to do in the Gare D’Lest areas, so expect to take metro or Uber everywhere as all attractions aren't walking distance aside from Montemarte.

The staff (especially the night staff) should be a little more mindful. I had an incident happen where someone opened my door by mistake during the night. As a solo woman traveler this is a terrifying experience and I was not able to sleep for the rest of the night. I went to reception to ask what happened and the staff member explained they made a mistake while laughing, which made me think they didn’t take what happened seriously.

Very nice atmosphere. The club is a nice place to relax after exploring the city. Free drinks and snacks all day. Also a nice aperitivo snack, perfect to start your evening with before dinner elsewhere. Good breakfast and nice staff.

The location is great for exploring the city, great connections to trains and metro. However, the immediate surroundings of the stations next to the hotel (Gare de l'Est and especially Gare du Nord) might feel unsafe to some visitors. We never had any problems whatsoever, but I would think twice about taking a walk around the neighborhood at night alone.

LOVED the breakfast. Exquisite: fruit salads, good charcuterie slices, nice cheeses, milk, cream and almond milk out on the self-serve bar, nice selection of cereals, granola, etc, excellent organic yogourt, loved the coffee even if from a dispenser.

The reception staff were at best professional, but aloof. You really have to get into their eye-line and be assertive to be acknowledged! It was almost comical. The guy we met at the desk was studiously remote, and only lifted his eyes up when we addressed him explicitly. What a way to be greeted, after flying 9 jet-lagged hours! When I asked him what the elevator code was (in order to leave the building on one side - you'll get to know it), he gave me the code but also made the gesture with his hand at his neck (the one you would use to say "watch out or I'll have/cut your neck"!). It was odd, and I thought I had asked for or done something wrong. My daughter had noticed this odd hand gesture and asked me afterward why he had given me that weird hand gesture!

Great facilities, we loved all the little extras in the common room. Free coffee, snacks and filtered water were amazing! Staff were super accommodating and friendly. The room was super spacious, sheets were awesome and good quality, bed comfortable and the lighting was really flattering!

The shower was annoying as there was no curtain so the entire bathroom got really wet. They supplied us with plenty of bath mats though. The temp control also wasn't the best. The room got pretty warm even with it on the lowest setting, this might have been because the room was so big that the air-conditioning wasn't powerful enough to cool the entire space. .

We wanted to be relatively close to Gare du Nord for a morning train, there were construction works going on and so a fair amount of scaffolding and construction materials around but obviously this is temporary and it was still ok to enter and exit the site. and super handy for the station. The room was a nice size and the bed was fine. We bought breakfast to eat on the train so didn't try theirs.

The side lamps were really overly bright, and I don't know if it was just our bedroom on the ground floor, and I admit I am a light sleeper, but every time a toilet flushed (on the floor above?), the sound of gushing water reverberated loudly through the aircon vent and repeatedly woke me up, didn't actually get to sleep until after 2:30am, then it started again after 5am!
