B&B Hotel Como City Center

Rooms were very clean and tidy, and the beds were comfortable. On top of that is a very good location, close to rail station, main centre and lake, it was amazing time.

The only issue we had was not being able to check in in our rooms on time. As we came with a big group of friends just for one night, we came to hotel one hour after rooms supposed to ready just to put our bags in safe place and go straight away to see the city, however only 2 rooms, from 5 of them was prepared for us. Staff was very polite, though, and I believe it might not be their fault, but maybe some of the previous customers didn't check out on time.

The individuals who worked there were some of the kindest people I have ever met. After an awful travel day that resulted in us not arriving to the hotel until 4 hours before checkout, the man wt reception still allowed us to check-in, shower, and utilize all hotel facilities. He even offered us coffee and a croissant to take to our rooms. Additionally, he let us store our bags there the entire day. Aside from the absolutely amazing people that work there, the hotel was beautiful and very clean. The rooms were spacious and had a beautiful view. The hotel was also in close proximity to the train station, making for easier travel.

The outside of the property is deceiving as it looks a little run down but once you step inside you will be amazed!

I really liked this hotel because: 1) it had on site secure parking on a first come first served basis 2) there was plenty of adjacent on street metered parking 3) it was wishing 10 minutes easy walk of Como centre 4) it was modern, purpose built, clean and comfortable 5) it was good value for money 6) it offered a good all you could eat buffet breakfast for just 5 Euro 7) it has a small on site shop 8) the staff were friendly and helpful

Only two complaints: 1) the orange juice at breakfast was so watered down it was undrinkable 2) the pillows on the beds were very hard

The staff were very kind good English lingual skills the girls on the front desk always have a smile waiting for you they do a lot of good things for you and the lobby has a great little store at the front the place is also from early 6am to 11pm which is great. como is not a big place this place is very cheap if your young or you have a hire car or bike it's a great location to get around from but honestly it's like 5 mins to walk to the main monuments and it's even closer for bars restaurants and laundromat

Just that there were fruit flies or something like mosquito's in my room it was only 1 or 2 of them no big deal I swatted those bugs and enjoyed my stay there honestly 10 out of 10.

I loved everything during my stay here. I chose this specific hotel due to its proximity to Como S. Giovanni train station and about 10 minutes walking distance to Lake Como. From when I arrived until I left, the staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout. The room was spacious and I had an en-suite bathroom which is always very handy, which also had a hairdryer. The room had a TV, safe and mini fridge if you wanted to bring snacks. There’s a good variety of food present for breakfast. If I ever visit Como again, I would stay here without a second thought! Highly recommend.

Very welcoming staff and friendly guests! I left my luggage early in the morning and later checked in , the room was super-comfortable and clean. I would definitely stay there again, thank you so much!!

There wasn't vegan breakfast.

The hotel is 5 minutes from the train station and it was very convenient for us because we used the train often. The hotel looks very good on the inside, it is very clean, every day your room gets cleaned and you get new towels. The breakfast is excellent, it is a buffet where you can eat almost anything you like.

The only thing I didn’t like was that the price for the hotel changed every day on booking.com. One day it was very cheap with no breakfast included, the next day suddely it became like 50 euros more with no breakfast and then another day it became again 50 euros more but this time with the breakfast included. We had no choice but to pay this 100 euros extra and choose the breakfast as well.(we didn’t really want the breakfast but we had to chiose it; it was really good btw so we don’t regret it)

The property is located off the beaten track of the main plaza/square in a very quiet area. it only took 5 minutes to be in the thick of the city. The hotel from the outside raises and eyebrow but inside is very cool, clean and modern.

I didn’t dislike anything at all. I only have 2 small observations. 1. it would really have been appreciated to have tea, coffee facilities within the room. Being British and after travelling for a long time my friend craved a tea and likewise me a coffee. 2. The air con did work. Given the temperatures of the week we’re visiting it would have been more welcomed if the system could have provided a much colder breeze.

Underfloor heating in the room was lovely on a cold day/night in February. I was allocated a room on the 5th floor with a nice mountain view! Microwave meals can be purchased (and heated) in reception, as well as drinks and snacks. Breakfast buffet includes fresh bread, pastries as well as savoury options, served in a modern and comfortable space. Pleasant, efficient staff. All in all, outstanding value and I would definitely come back.

My single room did not have a kettle for making coffee/tea - not a big issue for me though. Pressure for the hot water (my room was on the 5th floor) was a bit low but manageable. However, both were just minor points.

The hotel and room were clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The room was fairly large with a beautiful mural on the wall behind the bed. There also was an inner door to close of the sleeping area for good sound insulation from the corridor.

1) The shower was too small and allowed water escape onto the bathroom floor. (2) The toilet seat would not stay up so when you were sitting, the lid was constantly resting on your back. (3) This property is supposed to be a bed and breakfast, but breakfast is not included. They charge 10 Euros each day for a continental breakfast with pre-made scrambled eggs.
