Very modern and new facilities in the rooms. good location and plenty of parking.

The staff were quite unhelpful during our stay. We felt as if they were always too busy to help us with any queries. There was also no information about breakfast or dinner options and the pub was fully booked with non-guests for lunch and dinner which was rather frustrating.

Breakfasts were excellent, as indeed were evening meals. Room was large and well equipped, really nice rural views in all directions. Those views reflected the location, deep in picturesque countryside.

"Deep in picturesque countryside" = "could have done with satnav to find it on the first evening!". No real complaints about this though. Although the name should have provided us with a rather large clue, we didn't actually appreciate the extent to which dog owners were catered for. It didn't present us with a problem though, all dogs very well behaved.

The property was amazing and the grounds very beautiful! The bedroom was small but tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. The bathroom was actually quite large and very nice. We only had one meal in the Inn, dinner on the night we arrived, and it was delicious!

There was only one thing that we didn't like about our stay at the Jack Russell Inn - the beds in our room. They looked really pretty and nice, but they left us all with terrible kinks in our backs the next morning...and we're athletic, younger people! The mattresses were really not good at all, both on the main bed as well on the pullout couch bed. It could have just been our room? (We were in "The Greyhound" room). I would recommend to owners to have them replaced asap (at least, in "The Greyhound" room).

Lovely building and surrounding area. Main building and accommodation and maintenance brilliant. It is fantastic to have the opportunity to eat at the same hotel as well, especially on the first day or evening of arrival. The room is tidy-up each day . Because of where it is situated, you have sheep and deer in local fields, an additional attraction for families and children especially.

Times are difficult for everyone, and the cost of living is affecting us all. The menu is very up scale and not for anyone who's not looking to spend upwards of £100 and that without alcohol, Starters, etc . We were a family of three only. Please read all little complimentary signs in the room as it pays to not make mistakes with sweetly written note's. Water at dinner we found a little miss leading £3.50 bottle? The same is given in the room on T-tray .

Everything, we enjoyed an excellent stay at this most outstanding location. From our first arrival till leaving. We found all staff to be proffesional and charming. Both front and back of house teams made our stay a memorable one. Well done and thank you to all. Our room was of the highest standard. The location was perfect for our needs (close to Andover) and our only regret is that we only had time in our journey/plans to stay for one night. We would definetly recommend the Jack Russell to family and friends. Once again thank you to all for a memorable stay. Bobbi and Tony. PS the fire pit was awesome and we enjoyed it into the small hours along with other guests. ☺️👌👏

The hotel was under some renovations while we stayed so we only had dinner there once- food was lovely, staff were very attentive! Our room was amazing ! We had a corner room in the dog house with a private grassy area that our dog absolutley loved all to herself! The room was beautifully decorated and clean. There was a mapped out walk to take the dog on and loads of wildlife and farm animals around.

For us, the bed was a let down - pillows were too soft to the point we had to use all the scatter cushions as a base so our heads didnt sink right down and the matress was a bit too firm. Just personal preference! There was a few thick cobwebs around the windows on the outside which could have been taken away to match the standards of the inside which was impeccibly clean. Only other downside was that there is no fridge in the room - considering we were travelling with a dog (which luckily has dry food) we would have liked the option of a fridge to keep cool drinks and snacks as it was very humid (and the neareat shop was 3 miles away!)

The room was in a block, away from the pub restaurant. Bed was comfortable, nice pillows with choice of feather and man made. Great shower. Super quiet at night. Nicely decorated room with Netflix access, tea/coffee and biscuits. We were given fresh milk on arrival. Nice staff, concerned with our wellbeing.

The room was stylish but a bit dark. Breakfast coffee in a cafetière was poor, weak and tasteless but remedied that by ordering a flat white which was good. Croissants on the breakfast buffet were not worthy of being called a croissant. Unforgivable when you can buy ready to bake croissants which are very good. Bread on the buffet was tasteless, the opposite of the sourdough under my egg which was very good. Too much butter in my scrambled eggs, added to the buttered bread, altogether very greasy. Hate having to listen to radio 1 in the morning, I like quiet for breakfast

The Jack Russell is a beautiful pub and Inn that I look forward to going back to. The rooms are impressive, very comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The setting is peaceful and cozy. We stayed after a visit to Highclere Castle which was a short taxi drive away. This is the perfect setting to share the English countryside and pub culture which I wanted to share with my mother who was visiting from abroad and loved it. I can't wait to stay again and explore the nearby walking trails with my partner and dog.

Only one small complaint which isn't enough to not return. For dinner I got the venison burger and it was overcooked and a bit over seasoned. The rest of the food was good though and we also really enjoyed the breakfast.

A wonderful place for a quiet and quick getaway in the country. A lot of places say they are dog friendly which can sometimes translate as merely dog tolerant, however, The Jack Russell Inn is a home away from home for dogs and their owners, it really is dog friendly and we met some lovely people and their pets. The room had a great little coffee machine and selection of teas, and the mini bar had some great and original options. I loved that there was a dog biscuit and dog beer waiting for our dog on arrival as well, a very nice touch. The bed was really comfy and the facilities were all very clean. We made use of the fire pit outside and the available blankets in the evening whilst having a drink or two, a very relaxing experience.

Beautiful, idyllic location. Beautifully decorated rooms and restaurant. Cosy and friendly. Bedrooms well equipped and tastefully decorated with old and new combined. Separate accommodation a big plus, although suspect outdoor area in courtyard of accommodation would be popular and potentially noisy in the evenings. Rained when we visited. Loved the dog friendly vibe

Food lovely but expensive which was disappointing as no other options in local vicinity. No bath, but lovely shower. Loved isolation but access roads not always great. But not the property's fault.
