The property is beautiful, very relaxed and country style. The decor was very pretty. The grounds were stunning surrounded by gardens, mature specimens trees and meadows. We had a small double room overlooking the garden, which was nice. There was a wedding party there , so we got a view of them enjoying their special day. I loved the bar with its grand high ceiling, and David Hockney Art work, a really nice touch, and talking point. We had a meal booked with parents for the evening which was really good quality and well presented. The dining room was very spacious and relaxed, a perfect place to enjoy good company, food and wine. The breakfast was excellent, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt & cereals with a choice of cooked breakfasts. Fresh coffee and pots of Yorkshire tea all served on beautiful blue and white china. This hotel would be a perfect place to spend a long weekend chilling , eating and walking. We also visited Beverley which is nearby for a coffee, which is a lovely little town, with lots of shops to look around. I would highly recommend Tickton Grange Manor to anyone who loves a friendly relaxed atmosphere, with a country style and excellent fine dining. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and meadows.

The only thing which was annoying was the door up to the rooms from the top of the stairs banged when other guests or staff came up. This only happened in the morning, but still was quite loud. Being an old property I know how creaky floors and doors can be. Also the light from the landing came into the room from under the door, so a trim on the bottom would help that. Maybe a proper door closer would be a solution?

Everything was immaculate. The staff were friendly and helpful and seemed genuinely keen that you should have a good experience during your stay. The hotel is set in its own grounds where they are engaged in an interesting re-wilding project. Much of the food is organic and locally sourced and all of excellent quality. The hotel is a good center for tourist and business clients and specializes in solemnizing marriages - popular for weddings. Lots of parking. Good Wifi.

Quite close to a very busy main road. Couldn't open the windows in our room.

we had stayed there for one night about 4 years ago and found it a well-run, family-run hotel that we'd enjoyed. We decided to stay for two nights to mak it more relaxing over the weekend (we were birding in the area). It is not 'cheap' but then that was not expected but it is good value for money. It provides a relaxed atmosphere with good public and bedrooms. We took the opportunity of the tasting menu one night- and this did not disappoint. Breakfast was relaxed and with good choice. Although I would like to availability of a 'mug' of tea rather than a dainty afternoon tea service. (also in bedroom). Vegetarian and vegan options are good. One morning, (0800) our table was at the back of the dining room and somewhat gloomy (early Feb) and it would have been good to have some extra lighting there (uplighters?) for breakfast although fine for evening meal.

Nothing very much, comments above were preronal feelings rtaher than objections. If we had an electric car it would have been good to have 'top-up' points in the car park.

Absolutely beautiful stay here. The hotel is full of class and beautifully designed in a way where you can't help but feel at peace and relax. The grounds with its stunning garden and a lovely wood walk were full of little surprises, dumbbells made out of wood, an apiary with bees and beautiful flowers and fauna. The views were breathtaking. The staff were professional friendly, and nothing was too much trouble very polite, especially the young chaps on reception and in the bar area..

Everything perfect, especially the decorations, which feature a lot of David Hockney works. Dinner and breakfast excellent, room comfortable, clean and well maintained. Only snag was the TV Freeview, which was intermittent. Lovely extensive and interesting gardens with lots of wildlife. Exemplary service with friendly and motivated staff.

Nothing, to be honest. We escaped from a dreadful hotel elsewhere and Tickton Grange was the antidote we needed.

We stayed in the Morris Suite which was very lovely, spacious, and comfortable with our own conservatory, patio and private garden. The kitchen was well-equipped and much larger than anticipated. It was also very quiet and restful, set in lovely grounds and we had our own named parking space which felt a bit special. The staff were helpful and very friendly and we liked the easy informality of the hotel.

There was nothing that we did not like! However, more cutlery, glasses and crockery in the kitchen would have been useful. We also found the pre-ordering for breakfast a bit 'B&B'ish'. However, we breakfasted in the suite and when there was a bit of a mix-up over our order which did not arrive, we were not charged the usual tray-charge, so that was a nice apology.

B/fast good and more than ample.Room comfortable with good views of garden. Dinner taken in the bar and well presented, relaxed and tasty.Staff obliging when my friend and I didn't want a full tasting menu at dinner. Check out straightforward and quick.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. It was a good hotel with efficient, friendly staff, good rooms which were very clean with tea/coffee making facilities and toiletries aplenty. Very pleasant public rooms and dining room with space to move around freely.

We chose the location for its proximity to Beverley and also the coast. Hotel is set in its own grounds with ample parking. Traditional and family run property which comes through in great and friendly service. Enjoyed having a post dinner drink in the lounge next to the fire and also excellent breakfast served by the helpful and attentive Irene (providing lots of local knowledge and insight). Traditional bedrooms with excellent shower.

Occasionally had to track down hotel reception staff (non busy time of year). Would also have liked an electric car charging point which is something that could be easily installed.

Breakfast was excellent and while attending a family wedding the food and staff were amazing the room was spotless and the bed was incredibly comfortable.

Not having a wardrobe or rail to hang dresses as we were attending a wedding wasn’t ideal… however a coat hook with hangers were provided but it would have been nicer to have a more suitable area for our clothing.

As everyone is not travelling we looked for somewhere as a treat. Our expectations were met the furnishings in the room were really top end as was the attention by the staff.

This was a lovely place to stay. However the breakfast was nice but cheap supermarket bread let it down. We have better at home. Really! scrambled egg and salmon on this bread why do you not showcase the local bakers! Disappointing
