We checked in late at 11pm having spent the day at Soho Farmhouse and the staff were more than happy to accommodate and welcome us. We were offered a suite upon arrival, which was also a nice surprise. The hotel is spotless and has all the amenities and luxuries you would expect. Breakfast was exceptional and so were the attentiveness of the staff.

To be really nit-picky I would have liked a feather pillow, but this also comes down to personal preference. The bed and bedding was otherwise very comfortable.

The hotel is a stone manor house with large fireplaces and wooden beamed ceilings, open fire in the main reception hall. It has had a lot of attention to detail and money spent on a recent renovation. The staff are all fabulous, they were friendly and attentive. We had supper in the Lavender Restaurant, the food was fine dining and perfectly cooked and presented. Our room in the main house was huge, it looked out onto a courtyard. The bathroom was well lit and very well appointed, the plumbing and hot water was excellent.

I have no complaints or suggestions. The hotel and staff are meeting and exceeding expectations.

Everything was good The only reason I put it down one star was because there were quite a lot of dead flies in the windiw which could've done with being cleaned. Otherwise it was lovely. We got upgraded to a big, lovely room which was warm and comfortable, the bed was huge ,and really comfortable. The chairs and table beside the window were good, with lovely outlook. We enjoyed the complimentary drinks and biscuits. Breakfast was good, although was not the exact content that was printed on the menu.( i had vegetarian, which stated it had mushrooms, but instead had a veggie sausage and beans which I wasn't expecting. Still, it was cooked well and tasted good!

We had a large attic room, which was really.lovely, but flies kept appearing. Staff said it was due to the warm room, thankfully they were attracted to the window and we were able to get rid of them!

Beautiful setting, politely staff on arrival. Room was clean. Staff around property friendly.

We had a bit of an issue that was dismissed, my partner is pregnant and ordered a non alcoholic mocktail. We were told someone more experienced in drinks would come and made us a fruit juice. Was to our shock when the bill to our room was listed as a pornstar martini. I am unsure if that is fraud as charging for an alcoholic drink when no alcohol is supplied is a little below the belt. I don’t usually complain about minor details but there is a principle.

The hotel looks lovely on arrival and the reception is very warm, quaint and welcoming. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size, well appointed and great vfm. The bar isn't huge, but has a good selection and the lady behind it couldn't have been more friendly. Breakfast was included and was excellent. They were really good at making some minor adjustments to our orders from the menu.

Not much. Bar prices were a little heavy, £14 for a cocktail, £7 for a bottle of Moretti. Our room had underfloor heating and a rad and it wasn't clear how to turn off/down so the room got quite hot. I opened a window but due to the renovations, we had scaffolding and tarp/plastic right outside which when rained on sounded like a Phil Collins drum solo. (The renovations weren't a problem for our stay though).

The room was beautiful, the bed was very comfortable and had a good night's sleep. Coffee and tea facilities were good , free standing Bath tub was not only great to look at, but the water was hot and used the toiletries provided ( lots of toiletries provided in the room) Good selection at breakfast to set you up for the day ahead ,, hot and cold buffet with tea , coffee and juices. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely come again

More a niggle than anything , after sight seeing and being out and about ,its a shame there was only one free standing chair in the room located in front of the television, needed either second chair or two seater sofa so couples can sit together, Coffee machine made great coffee just very loud and noisy ( minor point )

Spacious room. Lovely big comfortable bed. Well appointed shower room. A bath would be nice but not essential. The Manor is a recently refurbed hotel, the decor being a mix of very old traditional with modern overtones. Some quite flashy furniture but I liked it! Breakfast is good offering the usual buffet style continental and traditional. Our last day offered an A La Carte breakfast which was excellent. The dinner menu was very good too. Beautiful gardens and well maintained borders. Lovely patio areas. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Nothing really! It suited us just fine!

What a fabulous hotel! Such a stunning place.... beautiful hotel in stunning grounds. Our room was in the Coach House - I think there was under floor heating as I was exceptionally warm. Cosy for winter, I imagine, in spite of being an old building (recently refurbished). Dinner is fine dining - rather upmarket for a 'necessity stay' when overnighting for uni scouting! Breakfast was continental buffet with a la carte hot dishes. Lovely! Oh and a number of EV chargers, free charging. Very much appreciated.

A 'light bites' or 'not so fine dining' option! Otherwise there was nothing else I didn't like... and I'm rather fussy!

Room was really big . The deco was nice but art deco type furniture which is not to my taste but of good quality. Breakfast was ok , cooked breakfast could have had two sausages and eggs could have been done properly. Poached egg I had was a bit watery. The piano music could have been done away with as it was not what I wanted to hear whilst eating my breakfast, but that is just my point of view. Staff were good and very helpful and nothing to complain about on that front. Dinner was quite expensive and this is the reason we saw the chef heading home by 9pm on the 3 evenings we were there. You could get two main meals at pubs in Bicester for less than one main meal at the hotel. Drop the prices and you will get the guests eating in more. Over all a nice quiet and relaxing stay and handy for visiting Oxford via the park and ride a few miles away and visiting Blenheim Palace.

This is a lovely hotel with great staff, fabulous food and wonderful rooms. The grounds are well maintained and the rooms clean and tidy. It is well located just off the main road and a short distance to Oxford or the Bicester shopping village. Our room was very quiet, impressively decorated and fitted out. Just be aware that as it is an old monastery there is a heck of a lot of character to admire. We thoroughly enjoyed eating in the restaurant and the food was of a very high standard. Would definitely stay here again.
