Bicester Hotel, Golf & Spa

Enjoyed our room 33, we booked for full body message and staff we very informative, kind, respectful and very good messager. Spa provided robes, slippers and towels. We thoroughly enjoyed jacuzzis, and pool. I booked this hotel to celebrate seeing my friend who I haven’t seen for 50 years. The staff were very kind to both of us and made us feel very welcomed. Breakfast was good in morning. Food was very good. We stopped in bar for coffees but found plates and cups, or glasses not cleared away from tables and bar had dirty dishes along bar that had not been cleared either . We had to move dirty dishes and cups and plates ourselves to bar so we could sit at a table. A bit more care in bar for clearing needs improvement. My Canadian friend also enjoyed it. My husband and I are looking to get a membership to use facilities in the near future.

Bar staff need to clear tables quicker as there were a lot of dirty cups, plates not removed from previous visitors occupying the tables. We had to clear table ourselves and put it already cluttered bar with other dirty dishes, cups and plates.

Beautiful setting, well maintained grounds . Fabulous facilities, spa/ pool are amazing. Greeted and checked in by friendly , helpful staff . Classic room was spacious and nicely decorated. Bathroom fresh and clean with plenty of toiletries. Air con a bonus . Fresh bottled water every day a nice addition. Breakfast good , plenty of choice both hot and cold . We ate dinner in the restaurant . Great choice, well cooked and presented meals . Staff attentive and on the ball . Close to various attractions that we visited , Blenheim Palace and Bicester Heritage Centre.

No fridges or safes in bedroom … could do with a hot drinks machine at Breakfast.

Our check-in was a very simple process made so by a friendly and knowledgeable reception team. Our room was spacious and clean, with all the facilities that are expected from a hotel of this brand. Breakfast was excellent - cooked breakfast served hot, lots of choices of cereals and fruits. Dinner was also very satisfying -good value. The leisure centre and spa excellent - this is the best leisure centre we have visited so far- with large steam room, jacuzzi, swimming pool and hot tubs. Their golf course ideal for a pleasant stroll - no hills, very narrow fairways and loads of bunkers. And of course, to finish, having a drink in the 19th Hole bar to celebrate not losing any golf balls on the course.

Slight patches of stain/dirt marks on the room carpet. Can't use the leisure and spa facilities after check-out at 11:00am.

The location was ideal for the M40 and Bicester Village which we wanted to visit before continuing our journey.The approach to the Hotel is very pretty. The room was large and comfortable but rather dark

strange to find the bar and Bistro totally empty.For the options available the food was well cooked and served quickly but for Fish and Chips it seemed expensive. The staff at breakfast were a mixture of very pleasant and very off hand and unwilling to help.The room was badly laid out so it was difficult to find things .The tea was disgusting Didn't use the Spa ,not enough time but it looked nice. The room T.V was rather "odd" and there were no instructions in the room just on the T.V!

Quick checkin, very comfortable bed, easy to find room, large room with the appropriate amount of furniture in it (so it didn't look like they had just moved in). Good size bathroom and a sink with good lighting and space next to the sink to put all my creams and potions. Iron and ironing board in the room, coffee and kettle. Easy to check out, provided a VAT invoice very quickly. Nice decoration and was on the right side of the line for being professional but not sterile.

No plugs or USB sockets next to the bed (maybe put in the lamp base, like in other places?). Cups for the coffee in the room were small. Mugs would be better. Breakfast - disappointed because on the room service menu they have avocado on sourdough toast, eggs benedict, etc, but in person, only a buffet and none of this nice stuff :-(

Beautiful location and serine environment

They don’t empower hostess at the breakfast to even give water bottle for the room. I asked one, although she guided me from to get but if she improvised it would have been better. Being an experienced traveler I found improvisation as a biggest tool to win hearts of the guest. I have traveled to many properties around the globe and that brings the experience to see guest services as a key to this industry. Some time training is required to maintain that success. This property has a huge potential to achieve extraordinary results. Since the facilities are already built in but the warmth is missing.

Beautiful location and the staff couldn’t be more helpful - they were friendly, courteous and couldn’t do enough for us. The shower was AWESOME!!! The breakfast was stunning - I’m very picky about scrambled eggs (can’t stand them snotty) and this was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. The bread was beautiful and thick, and the butter was the best we’ve had at a hotel - not your usual tiny portion that just about scrapes to the edges!

The carpet had a few stains in the hallway which was a shame, and the chairs in the room could do with a clean on the arms but the rooms were beautifully spacious, had lovely fixtures and fittings. I had to borrow a hairdryer from the Spa because two of the usual ones were making really loud noises and one actually started burning which was a bit of a scary experience! The breakfast wasn’t topped up as quickly as it possibly could have been (people were waiting around for bacon refills and mushrooms etc) but that could be down to the fact there weren’t enough staff on?

Breakfast choices were great, although more fruit such as fresh peach and apricots would have been better., My room was excellent, ground floor and nice and quiet. Spa facilities fantastic and really enjoyed the two treatments I had on Monday upon arrival and Thursday at 4pm. Having the Park and Ride only a mile away was a bonus for my trip to Oxford on Thursday 20th April 203

Some Receptionists, although at first meeting appeared to be really helpful, could have tried a bit harder to get me a Daily Mail paper.! Not allowed to walk the perimeter of the gold course.

The pool and spa area were excellent and the evening meals were absolutely superb; frankly they were of a far higher standard than I was expecting. Be nice to your Chef - he's well worth keeping hold of. The grounds and gardens were immaculate and beautifully laid out; it seemed as if wherever you turned there wa a lovely view. Oh, I should have said this earlier; all the staff were LOVELY...!!

The room cleaning was less than 100%, and seemed to be quite a slow service generally. When we came back to our room, there were still old glasses and coffee cups lying about.

The hotel is a cozy hotel, didn’t get a chance to see the spa or pool but the gym is great. Big space with lots of modern equipment available with lovely views of the golf course. The golf course itself also looked impressive from what I saw. Nice breakfast, with a variety to choose. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very easy to book a taxi from reception and get to Bicester village.

The restaurant for dinner was nice, the food was tasty but felt the menu lacked options but I assume maybe it’s a small kitchen.
