Would definitely stay again, such good value, very clean and comfortable

This is a great value for money hotel, the rooms are spacious and clean though a little dated. I travelled in a party of 12 men and requested single beds which was accommodated on booking however wasn't the case on arrival and 1 room had a double bed and thankfully 2 agreed to share a bed. The hotel is a weatherspoons and offers a great choice of food and drink at reasonable prices

The fact there wasn't 6 twin rooms as booked

The location was great and the rooms etc were very clean. Most of the staff were really really helpful and friendly, particularly the lovely housekeeper 😊

Unfortunately it was every man for himself on the parking situation (no carpark). Would have expected breakfast to be included for the price we paid. Again, unfortunately the food was very basic, not hot enough and poor quality. Need to keep the stock levels up, as whatever we ordered, they didn't have !!!

This is the second time we've stayed at the criss keys which we find convenient and good value. Breakfasts were fab.

Whereas our room and beds were clean and comfortable the bathroom was also clean but had two problems: 1) the bin had not been emptied and was unpleasantly full. 2) the lid on the shower outlet was clogged with hair therefore the shower tray quickly flooded and started to overflow. I had to remove the lid to allow water to escape efficiently.

We were fortunate to get parked directly opposite the Hotel,as it is on a busy street. The restaurant was also busy,but we were able to check in without too much hassle. Our room was up a fairly narrow ,steep stairway,through secure doors opened with our Hotel room key. Our room (3) was very well equipped, with AirCon, hairdryer, iron,tea/coffe making facilities,etc.. Despite the pub downstairs being very busy, we heard no noise from there whatsoever. The food in the restaurant was excellant and well priced,and service was prompt. Breakfast too was excellent and served promptly.

Parking near the Hotel will not always be easy to achieve. The signage at the door is confusing, and directs people arriving to check in the wrong way.

This weekend was the Beltane Festival and a small crowd of good natured revellers were leaving the pub as we arrived so the staff had been very busy. All the staff were very friendly and efficient, despite our late check in. We were pleasantly surprised that the kitchen was still open for food. Room 4, at the rear of the building, quiet, clean and comfortable. Pleasant, spacious en-suite bathroom with a good shower. Very good cooked breakfast (extra cost, but reasonably priced).

One of us would have preferred cereal for breakfast but not available. However, they very much enjoyed the bacon and eggs, etc.

The location was perfect for our stay in Peebles. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and comfortable with a big ensuite shower room. The room was also supplied with tea and coffee which could be replenished if requested. The bar prices were very reasonable and breakfast in the morning excellent value for money.

There is a steep stair case to access the room allocated to us - not good for people with mobility issues but as said the room was worth the climb. The only thing wrong with the room itself was that the secondary glazing was in dire need of a clean as something had clearly run down the windows and needed addressing.

The cross keys is a lovely hotel in the heart of Peebles, the rooms were lovely and clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed and the bathroom was very nice with a nice big shower. I can highly recommend the Cross Keys to stay.

The only thing I can say negative of the weatherspoons Cross keys is for the price of the room breakfast should have been included which would have made it competitive with others we stayed in around Scotland which offered bed & breakfast for the same price Cross keys charge for bed only.

One of the rooms in our group was great, the other not so much. Liked the selection of in room teas and coffees, including some biscuits was a nice touch. Really comfy bed. Fignt in the heart of town. Very handy having the pub downstairs which as expected was well priced.

One of the rooms was much smaller than the other. the room we stayed in had quite a dirty carpet, didn’t think it had been hoovered. TV didn’t work either

Lovely location and great value, rooms were lovely and a good size

We had a family room for 2 adults and 2 kids which was a good size but with sofa bed pulled down it restricted the movement around the room and where the tv was situated on the wall my youngest hit his head quite a few times on the corner of the tv so this was a bit of a hazard and a health and safety issue. He was ok but if had hit is eye could have been a different story. Would have better if the bed was around the opposite way.
