Brighton Marina House

Absolutely exceptional value for money. The hotel is tastefully decorated in muted colours with lovely limed doors and elegant lobby furniture and ornaments. Friendly and helpful staff are there to welcome guests on arrival, taking you to your room and explaining everything. The room was clean, with features such as a desk and chair for working, that are often not present in budget hotels. I can't recommend this place highly enough and would re-book in a heartbeat.

Great location for everything and nice shops around too.

No breakfast....I always like to have breakfast but there is a nice little cafe we stumbled upon 2 mins away called coziez I think thays how you spell it....lovely cooked breakfast and a big mug of tea.

Good value for money...few yards from sea front..booked again for October..spoke to one of the staff..'proper welshie' lol..dont get many at brighton...how far do I live from giving and Stacey location...😆 just an hour lol

The room and en-suite were both exceptionally clean and tidy. Check in process was very easy, due to self-check in. The amenities provided were excellent; tea and coffee, hand wash and shower gel, a suitable number of towels and toilet rolls, a large smart TV, a fan for warm weather and a heater for cold weather. The location of this property is excellent, roughly a 10/15 minute walk into the centre of Brighton; we felt very safe whilst staying here. Value for money at this property is excellent! I would highly recommend this property and would 100% stay again!

Parking permits at £10/day were falsely advertised on the booking.com website but were not possible during the time of our stay. We were only informed this after booking, which wasn't ideal. However, when challenged, the management team quickly pointed me to a nearby car-parking space that was available to book through INNIT rooms near the property at a higher price. The only slight complaint about the room itself was that it was exceptionally hot for the weather at the time, which may have been because our room was on the 3rd floor. A fan was provided which was very much needed during our stay! Although free WIFI was advertised, the connection was poor but this wasn't a big issue as we were out exploring for most of our stay!

i was very impressed with the overall display of the room - it had everything i needed and the staff were both kind and helpfull- they always made sure i had plenty of sugar and tea. if i wanted company they were happy to talk to me but if i wanted to be left on my own, they did not intrude. When the latch on the window of my room came off, they were very quick at getting someone in to fix it. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone if they wanted a quiet yet friendly place to stay.

There was nothing i did not like

Brighton Marina House employs friendly, helpful staff and room 6, is a clean, light, airy space. Quiet too although I only stayed for one night which is hardly a representative survey. I'm familiar with the area and Kemp Town has its own flavour and amenities whilst still being a short walk from central Brighton. I'd stay there again - maybe even next week!

It's not a 'dislike' as it doesn't really affect me but, like much accommodation in Kemp Town, there is no lift and a lot of stairs which can be an issue for those with mobility issues or a lot of luggage. Food is not served on the premises but there are many options and outlets within a very short walk. As part of the checking in process, everyone has to provide ID, specifically proof of age. I've never been asked for this before - is there a trend for specific age groups being particularly rowdy at Marina House?

We really enjoyed staying in the Marina hotel. Super clean (I mean really spotless - I’m picky on cleanliness)! The bed was huge (180cm large) and comfortable. Room was nicely decorated, with a side view on the sea. There was no breakfast but it was no bother at all: in the room there is a kettle with tea, coffee, biscuits and even little chocolate candies, and there is a common room on the ground floor with a coffee and tea machine. And right down the building a nice coffee and breakfast place! I would come back without hesitating.

Maybe an extra little stool would be nice ;)

I had a room at the front, small but quiet and comfy, with a private bathroom up a flight of stairs. Ther was a hair dryer in the room and an iron and ironing board available. The table was tiny with a low stool so not suitable for sitting at to eat or work, but hosts are happy for guests to use the tables in the communal area on the ground floor. A good option.

TV didn't really work, but WiFi was good so I used my laptop. I was there for 7 nights and thought someone might empty the bin in my room and offer clean towels, but I found bin bags myself in a cupboard so not a big issue.

The room was lovely with good furniture and an outdoor patio. plenty of light, nice bedding and towels. Nice and quiet room. I didn't have breakfast but, there is an accessible kitchen/ dining area for guests to use.

The patio area needs some attention, the fake grass was a bit dirty and some plants would make the area more inviting. The patio slide doors had no way of locking them with a hole where a lock had once been. This made me uneasy as the property is terraced and i didn't feel very secure.

All Areas extremely clean . Plenty of quality towels available and house keeping were very helpful. And prompt When we request an extra sheet . The duvet and weather was a tad warm . Management were great and very keen to iron out any little request. Great to have charging plugs. Extra bedding, radiator and fan in the room . Great lighting .

Its hardly a moan but ! Dressing table area . The mirror is placed up high so when seated, it no use at all. Luckily it could be un hooked so just could do with a fixing options down lower . And tea making bits taking up less room. Sorry I'm a girl that doesn't travel light.
