great location for easy walks and stroking ponies and donkeys! the restaurants were high quality and the spa was great.

sadly a range of staff experiences from truly exceptional at the restaurants and reception. to a truly surly young bar man who had nothing good to say to anyone and tried to short measure 2 gin and tonics as the bottle ran out. I don’t know if you are short staffed but the lack of any follow up in the lounge once you’d ordered drinks at the bar was not good. we asked for a tray and cleared our own table on the end to then be stopped by one of the team. but there was no proactive service at all. anyway overall it was lovely. but for the price need to have some core focus on customer service.

Fantastic staff, breakfast was great and so was all the food in general - really decent Thai restaurant.

The ‘Garden View Room’ wasn’t really anything worth paying extra for and the check in isn’t until 3pm. We requested it be ready from 11am, to which we were never told it wouldn’t be. Trying to fill 4 hours is quite a lot when you can’t use the facilities in that time as you have no where to change.

The greeting and assistance at check in; the spa; the lounge ambience and decor; the ability to have something that wasn't specifically on the 'all day menu.

The balconies need to be cleaned and dusted in addition to the room for the next person staying. There's a lot of dust and cobweb build up on the table, chairs, safety barrier etc. It would be good to have somewhere to place items for recycling. Perhaps two bins under the luggage table?

Great location, close to lots of restaurants and great walking spots. Clean, friendly hotel staff

Thought our stay was quite overpriced. We didn’t like that you can’t use the changing rooms in the SenSpa they ask you to use your hotel room as the your changing room etc. We paid the extra £40pp to be able to use the hydro pools and extra facilities in the SenSpa- we were the last people in the pool area but didn’t like the fact someone came to remind us 10 minutes before closing that the facilities close at 8, we were aware of this and felt it was unnecessary pushy, if you pay for the 2 hours you should get the full 2 hours. It didn’t quite feel like the luxury experience we were hoping for. Also could do with more parking spaces, limited for the size of the hotel. We struggled getting parked both days of our stay

Welcoming and helpful staff, beautiful cozy and elegant rooms, spa facilities great standard, relaxing, peaceful, beautiful corridors, love garden rooms, beautiful eating rooms, ease access to train station and village centre.

Rained a little quickly dried up and brightened. . Space was not available for dinner (busy weekend). Expected a bit more essential oil scent in the crystal steam room

room 66 has a single wardrobe suited to children only. no fuel length mirror for dressing. the power socket beside the tv is installed upside down, therefore the installation wasn’t checked, there is no toilet roll holder. the light switches in room are covered by a table lamp. the shower waste is inefficient and as it had no tray leads to a wet floor

The cost of breakfast was poor. Furthermore I paid £39 90 for two of us four times (twice dated 13/6 ) plus £49.90 once when we both had the small breakfast. We only had breakfast four times. We mostly had little more than cereal , coffee and a croissant.

Spa and treatments were superb. Staff were excellent. Service at breakfast and in the restaurants was faultless. The meals in the Cambium and Le Blaireau restaurants were excellent. The room was well appointed and wifi worked very well.

Providing one small bar of soap for a three day stay for two persons smacked of penny pinching.

Breakfast was good albeit expensive. The spa facilities available to hotel guests were wonderful. The room was spacious, quiet and warm. The balconies are very private and a lovely place to just relax.

I like a hand held shower so was disappointed with the fixed overhead one. The food in the Thai restaurant was the worst Thai I have ever had and not good although the staff were very helpful.

- Where possible the staff were so friendly and helpful - Communal areas are beautiful

- The air conditioning in our room didn’t work and the hotel wasn’t able to provide a fan (staff were really helpful trying to find one though) - Room cleanliness could have been better, dirty sink and hair in the bed - Sauna temperature is too low (when using the spa a few people I met also commented on this) -There’s a small path in front of the hotel which takes you to the road, but there are no lights along it and a car parking space in front of the entrance, so if anyone is parked there you have to walk through a flower border to get to it
