Almost every thing,great location right in the hub.really nice garden room.Breakfast excellent, best full English I have had for a while and the scrambled eggs absolutely delicious. The weather was superb so we ate outside. Really friendly staff they really look after you. We will definitely come back again. I almost forgot totally dog friendly our little terrior Bailey really enjoyed her stay.

Just a slight constructive suggestion, a fridge and microwave would be a great addition. Lovely patio outside having a chilled glass of wine and takeaway reheated.

We love the beautiful 16th century thatched cottage; staff were very helpful and friendly and provided a service with a smile Breakfast was great using local produce . Location was very convenient; available parking, a bus stop opposite the cottage and a 3 to 5 minutes walk to the rail station. The pub restaurants, cafes, convenient stores, walks to the forest are all within the vicinity of the cottage .

Perhaps an extra storage area for toiletries would be nice in the bathroom but we understand the limited space available for further additions to the bathroom. Overall despite this minor issue we have enjoyed our stay.

Great staff and welcome. Lovely charming room, it managed to stay (just) cool enough despite being in the eaves during a hot spell. Breakfast was awesome although a bit more variety on the fruit would have been good.

My wife and I were in an "historic" room, up very steep stairs and through very low doors. We navigated them OK but it was a bit tougher than we expected. My sister and partner were in the new part of the hotel which was absolutely fine. A bit more information about the differences would have been welcome. Our room would not have been suitable for anyone with even a mild physical disability. There was no proper shower, only a bath.

Would've liked a bit more choice of fruit & cereals as I don't eat a Full English. No porridge on offer which is what I would normally have but still a lovely breakfast. No soap or shampoo etc in bathroom like previous properties we stayed in & the Thatched Hotel was the most expensive so would've expected it to be provided. We were on a road trip so easier if we don't have to bring soap etc. We had to use our shower gel to wash our hands after going to the toilet. Lovely place, just nit picking 😊

The breakfast was full and well cooked and presented. The room was sweet, not large, but very clean, and the shower and lights, etc., worked fine. The staff were cheerful, helpful, and happy to chat with me. The gin-and-tonic selections are brilliant! The outside seating is pleasant, as are the indoor dining room and sitting room areas (the latter of which are on the listed part of the property, very cozy and old-fashioned). It's well situated in the village of Brockenhurst, with lots of options for walking, biking, exploring, exploring, but very much not "touristy." I thoroughly enjoyed my few days there.

There's really not anything I didn't like, except perhaps in being housed in the modern part of the building--I'd have preferred the historic section's rooms.

Our stay at Thatched Cottage was exceptional! It was a quiet respite from the busy hubbub of London. From the time Hew greeted us at reception to Ryan escorting us to our room until we checked out three days later, our stay went smoothly. The room was spacious and quiet. The breakfast selections were numerous; the Full English option was hard to turn down! We had many interesting conversations with Hew and Ryan. I gave Hew an “A” our last morning at breakfast for remembering our breakfast order! New Forest hiking trails were nearby—the reason for our third visit to Brockenhurst. This is our first stay at Thatched Cottage, but it will not be our last!

Room was clean, fitted out nicely, well positioned lights and spare plug sockets well placed by the bed. I stayed in a contemporary double standard room which was fine despite being I think most basic room listed. Price was excellent. I had booked for 2 of us but my husband was unwell hence just me but room would have been ok for 2. Breakfast really good waiter service ( no buffet which I thought was good news!) food freshly cooked and very tasty. Bread used for toast superb. Gin bar great open 12-8 Will definitely return.

The room was spacious, a nice seating area in the room with two good beds and a nice bathroom. Breakfast was delightful. The hotel is near the railwaystation. Silent little town. There was a communal area in the garden with a seating area. The doors of the room opened to the garden with a little terrace.

The sounds from the other rooms were very loud, annoying when you want to sleep. You could hear people walking up the stairs and hear the tv in other rooms.

Location location location Brockenhurst it self is a lovely village and the hotel is centrally located and within 5 minutes of train station Bus stop opposite Co-op and Tesco, Choice of pubs, restaurants All a short walk I was fortunate to have hibiscus room which was more spacious than another of the same standard. For me the outlook was also more pleasing looking out to the village Included breakfast was generous and well cooked Pleasant garden area to sit

I too found the garden chairs very uncomfortable at the back I had chosen this hotel as there was access to a kitchen. This was important to me however it was closed to guests due to covid I could not find mention of this in website

The bed was so comfortable and it was so quiet in the neighbourhood. The location was great! And it was such a unique experience to stay in the historic room but with very nice modern facilities. The staff were so lovely and we were so happy about the vegetarian and vegan breakfast options, they were well made and filled us up to explore the area with a long walk!

We stayed on the ground floor and as expected from a very old building the floorboards and stairs were a bit squeaky so we could hear people moving around upstairs but the other guest were very considerate and it didn’t bother our sleep or anything actually.
