The room was clean and bright,the breakfast was absolutely gorgeous the welcome was outstanding we was greated by Lyn and Bob with a pot of tea and some lemon drizzle cake which is a great touch after such a long drive,once we had chilled with our tea and cake Lyn then showed us to our room to let us settle in. We would strongly recommend staying at this bed+breakfast and we will also be recommending the property to our friends and family. Thank you Lyn and Bob for such a lovely experience xx.

There's absolutely nothing not to like about this bed+breakfast

Thank you so much to Lynn & bob for being so welcoming, from the minute we arrived to when we left. They kindly made us a lovely breakfast every morning, and it wasn't just a breakfast, they made us full English, omelettes, fruit salads, juices, coffee extra toast. Our room was lovely & was cleaned every day with fresh towels. Really lovely personal touches. Would definitely recommend & will definitely be back. Thanks again x

Absolutely everything. From the moment we booked Lyn and Bob kept in touch and informed. On arrival we were shown around and taken to our room, which was beautiful and very clean. Everything was so well thoughtout. Plenty of storage, toiletries in the bathroom. The rooms were warm and cosy and the bed very comfortable. Plenty of sockets, including usb ports. Breakfast was amazing and really set us up for the day. Lyn gave great recommendations on places to visit and eat. The whole building was kept exceptionally clean and was very tastefully decorated, The garden was well kept, though due to the weather we did not get to enjoy it. I can't recommend Oak Lodge enough. Would defineately go back again.

Nothing, it was all perfect.

Lyn and Bob were excellent host and nothing was too much trouble and would go out of their way to help,advise and make our stay as pleasant as possible, the property was spotlessly clean, facilities excellent, very comfortable with a lovely garden/patio area to sit when the weather is nice, bathroom facilities were excellent regular change of towels during our stay, breakfast was also excellent plenty of choice and always well cooked, room was spotless plenty of draw space and a cupboard for hanging clothes, the bed very comfortable, all in all a really lovely guesthouse with excellent host would highly recommend.

Nothing everything was great

The breakfast was really quite professionally cooked and presented. Very generous portions and good healthy variety of choice! Nothing was too much trouble and the host made extra effort to make sure we had local information and enquired how our day went. The property has been very well designed for everyone's privacy, there are quiet relaxed areas within the house and garden.

There was nothing I didn't like about it.

Lyn was very helpful and welcoming both before we arrived and throughout our stay. The accommodation was exceptional and Bob’s breakfasts were amazing. Will definitely be recommending it to friends and family!

My boyfriend and I came down Thursday - Sunday over the bank holiday weekend. We arrived on Thursday evening and were greeted by Lyn and Bob. They were both very friendly and just all round lovely! We were shown to our room, and shown the information book which was very helpful. It had cab companies listed, places to eat, a little map of how to get down to Bude. We were given home made fresh brownies and tea (best homemade brownies I’ve ever had!!) and Lyn spoke with us a little about our plans etc. Our room was given a little tidy every day. They make THE best breakfast! My boyfriend is a big poached eggs fan and he couldn’t get over how good the eggs at breakfast were! (Sorry Lyn, they were so good, couldn’t leave them out of the review!) Both Lyn and Bob would stop and have a chat with you whenever they saw you, genuinely interested on your plans for the day. Nothing was too much trouble for them. When we return to Bude we will 100% be booking at oak Lodge again! Tip - if you are planning on eating out in Bude, book in advance so you are not disappointed. Everything is booked up so quickly. Also if you plan on getting a taxi while you are there, book in advance too! They get VERY booked up! And only accept cash 😊

The owners, Lynn and Bob, run a beautiful, spotlessly clean guest house. We stayed in the Marsden suite which was beautifully furnished and great attention was given to detail. It had fantastic views from dual aspect windows, a dressing room and lovely en suite bathroom. Couldn’t have expected more! The breakfast menu was extensive and always beautifully cooked/prepared and presented. Lynn and Bob were so welcoming and friendly. A thoroughly enjoyable stay! I highly recommend Oak Lodge!!!

Everything was very clean and well presented with a comfortable bed and amazing breakfast with a large selection of options to choose from. The hosts were lovely and welcoming. Couldn't recommend it highly enough!

Amazing breakfast, with a large range to chose from (more than you would expect in a restaurant). As soon as you sat down you would have a lovely brew and within a couple of minutes a perfect breakfast!
