Sea Jade Guest House

The location was perfect for us. In between our friend's house and the town centre with its interesting shops and bus stop. The room was bright and cheerful, comfortable and clean. With breakfast included it was good value for money and breakfasts were of a good standard. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners.

This is not about the B&B, but we were surprised at the lack of pedestrian crossings in the town, particularly going towards the main bus stop and around the shopping area. The traffic was busy and often fast moving and it was awkward trying to cross roads. This would be especially so for the elderly or disabled who cannot cross quickly.

Great location at the top of town opposite the golf course. Our room was bright, clean and the bed was super comfortable. Saf and Ann are both wonderful hosts and really made us feel welcomed. Breakfast was also great and set us up for a good start to the day. We will definitely stay again and would recommend Sea Jade to anyone looking to stay in Bude.

We would have preferred black-out curtains/blinds instead of regular blinds in the room but that's such a small thing and will not put us off staying again.

Really helpful and chatty. Arranged a special time for me to collect the key. I am sure that anything I'd asked for would have been provided. A relaxing one-night stay.

Had problems initially finding the property as it's on a one-way street with little parking, but got there at the third attempt! Didn't realise that I'd probably have to pay for the car park opposite - though in fact I was OK in the end as there was free street parking available from late Saturday to Sunday morning. When I got in late in the evening my room was cold (it was November and the windows were open) so lucky to have brought a hot-water bottle. Tea and coffee in room but no herbal tea, or shower gel (I could easily have brought both). A very comfortable room with all the basics.

The location is fantastic for Bude & easy walking distance to the town & the beaches. The owners were very welcoming, helpful & obviously care about their guests & making sure they get the most out of their visit.

There is no dedicated parking, but there is time restricted on street parking or opposite the guest house there is a pay and display car park. We paid £7 for 24 hours. Hourly rates are available. Traffic noise from passing cars may be an issue for some sensitive sleepers.

Nicely decorated room and house with very friendly host. On arrival I was given a free upgrade to an en-suite room which was a nice surprise. The breakfast was tasty and quickly prepared and the host was willing to serve it earlier than normal so that I could catch an 8.30am bus without getting indigestion! There are two supermarkets within 5 minutes walk, and a Tandoori Restaurant and two chip shops are within easy walking distance. The bus terminus is about 7 mins walk away with bus routes to Exeter, Plymouth, Barnstaple, Bideford, Tintagel, Wadebridge and several coastal villages. This B&B seems popular with people walking the South West Coast Path and there was space for muddy boots etc in the porch area in front of the house.

Like most houses in Bude, the Sea Jade is situated on top of a hill, so not ideal for those with mobility issues who want to get about without a car. However there are two bedrooms on the ground floor for those that cannot manage the stairs.

The location of this accomodation is outstanding - great view of the gorgeous fields, 1 min stroll to nearest shop, 3 min stroll to the main streets, and 7 minutes stroll to the beach. The real star though is the husband and wife team that run the place - they went ABOVE AND BEYOND TO ENSURE I HAD A GREAT STAY! I will be coming back time and time and time again! Delicious breakfast, with great choices - they ensure a truly personalised service.

The room was great sized and in a location very close to a co-op so I could grab some snacks. The breakfast in the morning was massive, lovely for a day of walking the south west coastal path and the hosts couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful, even offering a lift if I was stuck at any point on my walks.

I don't think anything could have been better the property was a great value for money and a nice stay if you're in Bude.

The guest house was in a great location being very close to the town and a beach. There is also a long-stay car park opposite, which is handy to leave the car during the stay if you plan on being on foot. The room was warm, comfortable and quiet. What really made the visit though was the friendliness of the host. They were incredibly warm and welcoming.

Booked here as a last minute idea for an extension of our holiday in bude. Lovely b&b!!!. saf the owner couldn't do enough for us. The nicest guy in bude 👍🏻👍🏻 On arrival he greeted us with jokes and stories and great advice on where to eat and drink locally. The b&b is beautifully presented and the rooms are everything you would expect for a seaside town 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Excellent location for shops, pubs, and both local beaches, perfect for a nights stay over or a weeks holiday. super friendly owners and felt very much at home. was really well looke after and they catered for my gluten free diet. will definately be going back.

nothing really, I found the bed a little uncomfortable as it was a sprung mattress and I find these hard to sleep on but thats due to my petite body size. Also a couple of times while having a shower the water stopped running completely. I assume due to a shared pipe, it came back on after a couple of minutes so no big problem.
