I loved staying here - what amazing staff - real care taken to support your stay. Amazing location - close to sea lake - beach - walks and town centre. I had a small double at the top of the hotel in late Feb in high winds and rain. My room was always cosy and warm. My bed was comfortable - I loved having a mini fridge that was actually quiet. Breakfast was great. Nothing was too much trouble. I saw the rooms with sea views and I’ll definitely go for one of these next time as the views are great.

Nothing to report - I was super happy But for others info It is an old Victorian house - so it’s stairs My shower was always hot with a rainfall feel - so if you are used to an electric super pump shower at home it might seem a bit different at first.

Our room was spotlessly clean. We booked the suite which had a lovely living area with a fridge which had fresh milk in and water. The bed was very comfy. The bathroom was very compact but well equipped (no bath). Limited tea coffee in the room but was told we only had to ask when we ran out. The cooked breakfast was really good. There was a little buffet style area with fruit juice, cereal but not a lot of choice. Staff were super friendly, helpful and made us very welcome.

Not enough choices on the breakfast table, only fruit juices and 2 choices of cereal. Tea/coffee options in the room are limited. I am only judging this based on other places we have stayed.for the same rate.

The staff are so friendly and hospitable and certainly made us feel welcome. The Edgcumbe was indeed tidy and clean and I loved the seaside feel and only a short walk to shops, restaurants and of course, the beach. The breakfast was absolutely beautiful and very hearty and we were given a little mamosa each for the ladies for mother's day which was a lovely touch. I cannot fault the room at all as it was Clean and roomy and as I chose the sea view, sitting on the window seat with a cuppa was perfect. My mum in particular loved the jet bath. All in all, we would highly recommend.

I can't honestly think of anything. Due to staffing, we were unable to dine in the restaurant in the evening but a reservation was made a few doors down at the beach lounge. A bit cramped and noisy for our liking but the food was nice and the hostess of the Edgcumbe went out of her way to squeeze us in with the lounge manager.

On arrival the lady who met us was extremely friendly and was really pleased to see us.It was very welcoming. The hotel was easy to find had perfect views and was very clean and all brand new..it was very comfortable the bed was very very comfortable and the facilities in the room were spot on..The room was lovely and warm on arrival and the fridge had milk and water in. There was a proper coffee machine and a television in the bedroom as well as in the lounge.. We stayed for breakfast the next day and that was outstanding no cheap products all cooked fresh and came out nice and hot. I can't recommend this Hotel enough. Will definitely be returning at a later date.

There wasn't anything not too like.

Food available was absolutely delicious and very well priced and catered for my dairy allergy and staff were very knowledgeable and helpful regarding this. Room was very spacious and plenty of hot water, room also had a fridge more ideal for the summer months, although handy for milk etc.

Parking outside the property extremely poor and disorganised as local council trying to prevent people parking camper vans etc due to it been close to the beach. I would suggest the front facade of the hotel is spruced up and has more information as it can to distinguish which building is the right one if you are a stranger to the area.

On arrival Joanne upgraded me to a stunning room with spectacular sea views (I had paid for a modest room with no view ) newly decorated to a high standard . Beautiful en-suite bathroom, fridge ,espresso maker . The hotel is a family run business and it is clear they genuinely care about giving guests tge best possible experience. It was close enough for me to easy go down for a swim in the sea and the sea pool which were on the doorstep . Breakfast was amazing with a huge choice to suit everyone. My thanks to Joanne and family for making my trip to Bude just perfect 💛

Lovely, family-run hotel. The people were so friendly, I felt welcome from the first moment. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, armchairs cozy and the view amazing. The breakfast menu is large and the food delicious. Also the location is good: Two minute walk to the cliffs with view over the Bude Sea Pool and the ocean and also about two minutes to the town center. Could really not recommend it more!

The water pressure of the shower isn‘t the best. But that is definitely not a big problem and only adds to the charm of this cozy hotel.

The rooms were very spacious. The hotel is in a great location with a great view of the beach and the town. The breakfast tasted fantastic. Very nice staff.

For me personally, I found the bed rather uncomfortable, to the point where I didn't get much sleep during my stay. The breakfast area has a small table set up with some juices and some fruit, and then you're allowed to pick one item from the menu, anything more and an additional charge will be added to your room. I feel like other hotels allow guests to have more choice and a bigger selection of food set out for guests to choose from.

Great place with a nautical theme - rooms beautifully clean and modern with lovely shower/bathroom and comfy beds/pillows. The food is amazing whether you are staying for an evening meal or just breakfast with so much choice. But I really must say that the staff were amazing - every one of them that we met was polite, happy and nothing was too much trouble. They were especially attentive towards my elderly mother which was lovely. I was actually quite sad to leave them as I felt so at home there! Well done, keep it up! xx

Nothing, I loved it all but be aware that if you need a lift, this may not be the place for you but definitely worth a visit if you can.

The staff were lovely, I felt safe and comfortable as a lone traveller. The breakfast was amazing! The room was clean, tea coffee sugar and milk available, good fridge to put own food in too, though was a little loud next to the bed. TV worked well and able to sign into streaming services with no issues. Had a great stay here and would definitely go back.

Could have had a full length mirror in the room for getting ready to go out but not essential or an issue.
