Poole Farm

We found this lovely place for a one night stop when touring Devon & Cornwall. Possibly the nicest place we have stayed in. Louise & Greg were so helpful & friendly, nothing was too much effort and it was clear to see that they put so much thought into everything to make their guest's stay as comfortable as possible. The room (No2) was beautiful with a lovely bathroom. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast choice is vast, generous & totally delicious. There is a real attention to detail here and the house itself is stunning. It was a real treat to stay here & we would definitely return,

Nothing could have been better!

The BnB Was lovely, with fabulous views and so peaceful and calming. The hosts Louise and Greg were very friendly and couldn't do enough for me, I had a very warm welcome from both of them. They were engaging and charming. The breakfast choices, quality and presentation were first rate. nothing seemed too much trouble. Louise is a trained chef and you could see that in the quality of the food. The bed was so very comfortable, the room was lovely, fresh, clean and a really good size. The bed linen crisp and clean but the bed itself really was super comfortable. Best nights sleep I have had for while whilst staying at Poole Farm.

To be honest nothing. I had a great stay and would highly recommend this place.

Beautiful property in a stunning location. The bedroom was super, very comfortable and with a spacious bathroom. It was immaculate, so clean, quality bed linen and with all the treats of a 5 star accommodation. The food was delicious too. The hosts Louise and Greg were excellent, so helpful and exceptionally kind, really looking after me! I will definitely return with my family next time and could not recommend this B&B enough. Thank you so much.

There wasn’t anything to dislike - it was perfect, not only for couples but for me as a solo traveler.

The breakfasts were superb, the full English was really good, plus the 'specials' ( eggs benedict etc ) were worth trying as also excellent. The property was centrally located for our short walking break, and very peaceful and quiet -to our liking. Parking was good ( which is not always the case ) The room we stayed in was large and spaceous and well appointed, with a dressing table and a small fridge. The bathroom looked as if it had recently been renovated to an excellent standard with shelf space and a small cabinet for all of our toiletries etc. The room also boasted a coffee machine! and a selection of teas, coffees, biscuits and chocolates also. The hosts Louise and Greg were really attentive and made us feel welcome, so a thoroughly pleasant short break.

Our room was fabulous with dual aspect views and a super comfy bed we had a large en-suite and super big towels and our hosts where helpful and friendly there where two chairs in the room which is a bonus

On arrival we where told that breakfast time was either 8:00 or 8:15 and we would have liked little later the second day we could have 9:00 which was better .A full length mirror in the bedroom would have been nice..

Breakfast was delicious. Well prepared, great use of local suppliers, and served on hot plates. Although in a quiet location, it was very close to Launceston with easy access to the A30. My room was very well equipped with a coffee maker, kettle and tea, and fresh milk in a fridge. I also really liked the provision of a recycling bin. I loved the grounds, especially the tree swing. Will definitely stay again. Thank you! Definitely a hidden gem, well worth the visit!

we loved everything about the property from start to finish and it exceeded our expectations. Great bed, the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept on and I meant to find out where the pillows are from so if the owner reads this please let us know!

not much at all that we disliked about the property but just things that could possibly have been improved but certainly would not stop us again. The main thing being how dark it is at night being so rural and it was difficult both nights to walk in the dark from our car up the path to the side of the house but honestly it is just a little thing.

The owners were very welcoming, open and friendly. They made us feel at home and relaxed. The house is set in a very peaceful and rural setting. The standard of accommodation is very high and very clean. The bedroom (bedroom 1) was spacious with dual-aspect windows overlooking fields and hills. There was a small fridge with a bottle of fresh milk and a bottle of fresh water. There was also a coffee-making machine with coffee and decaf pods ( a nice touch). The bathroom is large with good quality fittings a bath, shower over and a heated towel rail. Everything worked and looked fairly new. There is also a garden with furniture which was very relaxing. Louise is an excellent cook and provided us with a wonderful evening meal at very short notice. Covid controls are excellent and very reassuring.

It is hard to fault this property but there was one minor suggestion I would make and that would be to put a better quality bed and mattress in the room. The existing one is ok and we slept quite well but this level of accommodation deserves a better quality bed.

We found Poole Farm online as we had to make an impromptu trip to the area and luckily for us there had been a cancellation. The room was lovely, spacious and homely. The en-suite was huge, with a bath and really powerful shower over. Our hosts were super friendly and helpful and the breakfast was absolutely spot on (in choice and quality). I often stay away with my work and for 99% of the time, there's always that something that tarnishes the experience. Poole Farm lives in the elusive 1%. Would recommend without hesitation.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike.

Lisa and Greg are the friendliest, most professional hosts who go beyond the norm to offer a warm welcome, fabulous accommodation and amazing food. They couldn't have been kinder and it was fantastic value for money. We will be back!
