The outside garden area was really nice as well as the pub itself. The area is nice and quiet and beautiful buildings. The room was spacious, very comfy bed! Easy parking and very friendly staff. Even though we were above the noisy pub we couldn’t hear a thing in the room.

I paid extra to have a deluxe room but the room we stayed in didn’t look like the pictures so we were a tad confused. Still nice room tho, just a shame it wasn’t the one we thought. Personal preference the food was way too posh for us, wasn’t to our taste at all so didn’t eat there. Tv was small so was hard to watch the football.

The property was very comfortable and had a lot of charm—it was the perfect “quintessential” British country pub with a lovely (and lively) bar area. The restaurant was actually much better than typical pub fare, which was a great surprise, and the staff were all very friendly.

Our room was nice and comfortable enough, but definitely could have used some updated furniture. Ironically, the blinds were extremely complicated and we couldn’t ever get the remote to work so that we could close them. Also, the parking situation was less than ideal.

Interesting. Huge bowl of muesli, but very nice. Lovely bathroom and bedroom. Superb choice of real ales. Main courses very good.

Every item is paid for separately, which can prove quite expensive. There was a vegan but no vegetarian breakfast on the menu. Breakfast service was very slow. Self-service would have been a better option. No comfortable chair in the bedroom

all the decor was wonderful, it’s the run up to Christmas and the decorations were out in the pub and the whole place had a lovely friendly atmosphere. our room was spacious and had everything we needed and was really wonderfully decorated (which was why we chose it from the photos!) the village is lovely and there are some nice walks in the area

we were in the new rooms in the building out the back of the pub. they are BEAUTIFULLY done and decorated it just took a while to warm up using the electric heater and the hard floor was cold to stand on. it was a beautiful room and we loved it and it was a particularly cold weekend in general it just took us a while to warm up from a cold walk

the style, the variety of drinks and food. politeness of the staff, the cleanliness, parking facilities, outdoor cute courtyard.

slow responses on the booking.cos messaging platform. the fact it says you can add on a dog for additional fee but then all the dog friendly rooms were booked up once we’d already paid.

The room was amazing, great value for money The food was outstanding We loved every minute of our stay

It was a little noisy being at the front of the property when it was kicking out time

The room was new, in converted outbuildings, and was very clean and spacious. The barthroom was lovely with a good "rain"shower over the bath. Breakfast in the morning was very good with quality ingredients.

Nothing that detracted from our stay. A suitcase stand in the room would be useful and there is plenty of room for one. The bath shower screen could do with being a little larger

Beautifully decorated bedroom. Excellent service. Lovely dinner.

Would have been nice if bedroom had been warmed up before we arrived - it was very chilly to start with and the remote control for the heating was not in the bedroom! Mattress was a bit spongy and pillows not very firm.

Beautiful village, stunning rooms in barn conversion. Staff super helpful and friendly. Location was easy to find. We have family on the outskirts of Coalville and it was only a 25 minute drive away so we will definitely stay here again now we have found it.
