Room was comfortable, a last minute booking so we had a twin room but it was fine for a 1 night stay as we were out in Coalville until the early hours. The manager and all staff we encountered were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is really good. At the weekend its a hot breakfast. I had eggs benedict and my other half had the full English. Both delicious and the coffee is good. We also had dinner before we went out and it was equally as delicious and good value for money.

The only downside is that there was a constant noise from what we think was a boiler or the cooling system for the cellar but everything else made up for that.

Very quiet location, had no problems sleeping and there were no interruptions. Staff were very friendly and helpful, informative and polite. The food was brilliant and the room was very cozy

The breakfast that is included during weekdays wasn't very fulfilling, it's enough to give you a good start to the day if you're in a rush or are not going to be staying in, but for those who plan on venturing out into the city or having a lazy day in, you'll be needing something a little more to get you going through the day

comfy and simple room, double bed was 2 singles together but was comfy and spacious. cooked breakfast (weekend only) was amazing, free full English and vegetarian full English with tea and cappuccino (they even gave my boyfriend a 2nd coffee without him asking which I thought was nice). restaurant drinks were nice, food looked nice too!

only upgrade could be the bathroom, shower head looked like it could be replaced/washed better and the air vent above the shower was thick with dust which wasn’t pleasant, bathroom sink tap also leaked

Comfy beds. Very clean. We broke our journey south and just wanted sleep. It was great for that. Tea and coffee in the room.

Breakfast was a little bizarre! Continental. Left outside the door. Fine. But.. jams but no bread or croissant. Cereal but no milk. Porridge needed hot water... Good we had a kettle but what if u don't like porridge! Pub not open. No-one to ask. The bathroom was fine, clean, nice shower, good towels but no heating! It was cold in there.

Breakfast was excellent. Our breakfast host was rushed off his feet, but coped amazingly well under the circumstances. The room was good and the venue was excellent for our purpose in meeting a nephew who lives locally.

The rooms are accessed up a steep flight of 18 concrete, but carpeted, stairs which were difficult for my partner to negotiate. Otherwise the venue was very convenient, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice big room, very clean and tidy. Bed was big and very comfortable. nice big shower. Staff where very pleasant and helpful. Restaurant was nice and food lovely. Lovely out door space too. Breakfast was delivered to my door in a small basket . Travelled by train and buses stop outside.

I would have liked a chair in the room and maybe a small table to eat breakfast at . I found the noise from the kitchen machinery difficult to sleep with but was unable to change room due to being fully booked. If I stay again i would request a different room. There was no reception staff on duty over night or first thing in the morning to talk to about it. I had to wait for some one to come into work.

We were allowed to self-check in late at night with key and instructions left at the door as we were at a festival all day, which was much appreciated. The room was a perfect size for a twin room, the beds were comfy and everything was very clean and the breakfast basket left outside the room was a very nice touch.

Only issue we had was that no towels had been left for us, and as we had checked in late, there was no staff on site to give us any.

A lovely location. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a hamper basket with the basic contents, pastries, jam , fruit, and fruit juice drink. Due to covid restrictions cooked breakfast only served at weekends which I did not have as stayed midweek. Manager and staff warm, polite and inviting. Car parking was free.

As an early riser the main bar and restaurant were not open as the location was rooms annexed to the main building which was a pub. Staff were around but not easily accessible.

Good value spacious room with breakfast thrown in for good measure. Large comfortable bed Hot shower with decent water pressure for a change Restaurant was very good value with efficient service and good selection on the menu

Although I didn't let it bother me, be aware that rooms 4 and 5 have a generator outside their windows which may impact guests if they are poor sleepers.

Location within 15 minutes walk of town. Breakfast cooked at weekend, continental in week served in room via basket left outside room night before. They provided one for my husband, as he had to leave before 9am when breakfast served at weekend. Room small, but big enough for an overnight. Beds comfortable. En suite shower. Staff friendly and helpful.

No cups for tea/coffee or glasses for water. Fetched some from bar.
