All of the staff we met were friendly, relaxed and courteous. Like one big family. Location was superb. our room was probably one of the smallest but ideal for a couple with plenty of room to swing a cat, so no probs at all.

a little bit inconsistent with the breakfast layout, but this may have been because we covered a weekday as well as the weekend where there may have been a difference on client numbers etc. We had a starter and a main in the restaurant one night and I think this option is better value than a main and dessert.

Beautiful location on the riverside with lovely grounds and breakfast views. Easy walking distance to Betws-y-Coed. All the staff were superb and really friendly.

The hotel is dog-friendly which is lovely, however we were woken each morning before 6:00am with the noise of dogs and/or guests taking dogs outside which didn't make for the most restful stay. Appreciate this isn't anything the hotel can do anything about but it's just to be mindful of when booking your stay.

Had a front room with the river view. Good breakfast and exceptional dinner. Friendly staff and well appointed. Cosy and clean. Quite rooms, quite location. Easy to walk into the village.

Having a sensitive back the double bed wasn't quite hard enough since an orthopaedic type of bed is my preferred. It wasn't soft, but not harc. Not as bad as ones one have come across in similar Welsh country hotels. Larger hotels I beleive change the mattress annually or something like that.

The river view from the bedroom was to die for. The breakfast was good with a fair selection to choose from. Dinner in the evening was good - although an extra supplement for the steak was not necessary. The staff were very good and very helpful. The Wifi was limited in certain areas of the hotel. Would stay again if ever in the are - the scenery was really something especially as you are in the heart of Snowdonia National park.

All was good - perhaps a slight change to the evening menu on a daily would be good - otherwise it is the same menu.

Over all it was excellent' would have loved a room with a river view, but hey, you cannot win them all.

These are just small things you could change, not complaints. 1) I would not have music on the beautiful deck; it's distracting and takes away from the beautiful river and nature noises. If you must, your spekers are tinny and only top end, really grating. 2) Scwhepps tonic water is gross - fever tree all the way. 3) Your lovely and polite restaurant breakfast wait-girl on the last day was run off her feet; I would have thought the woman on the bar/reception, could have at least lent a hand clearing tables or something when she had nothing to do.

The hotel is in a picture perfect spot on the banks of the river with extensive grounds to wander in. On a warm summers day it would be delightful. If you can afford it, the river view rooms are rather good with space and their own balconies

Our standard room was in the attic section of the hotel. Narrow stairs to climb and a restricted headroom in the room made it feel much smaller than its dimensions. The substandard room rather spoilt our stay but was already over our budget. Beware the price of the 2 or 3 course set dinner menu ( there is no al a carte). Most places in town seemed far better value

Superb location beautiful views of the river and gardens and peaceful setting. The restaurant overlooked the river and it was a joy to sample the excellent food which is served by friendly courteous staff. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean with a huge comfortable bed and pillows to match. We had a wonderful stay and appreciated the quality of the food .Thank you.

Would appreciate a magnifying mirror in the bathroom as there is no natural light. Obviously from a ladies point of view.

Excellent location, breathtaking views and generally a lovely place to rest and relax. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and customer service was also excellent. Food at the attached restaurant was very tasty. Would definitely visit again in the future as location and service were simply superb.

Restaurant was a bit pricey, justifiable as a one off but could not afford to eat there every evening. Food however was excellent. Overall price was also quite expensive however the establishment is 4 star rated and I guess you are paying for the excellent views and service!

The location of the hotel is really nice - just by the river with very lovely views. The food at the hotel is great! I think they should advertise their master chef more. The room was big enough (standard double), comfortable bed. Staff is very friendly.

The only thing that I did not like was two taps for cold and hot water in the bathroom sink. Besides they are small and uncomfortable to use.

Staff welcoming and very helpful, as we need quite a bit of help. Lovely dining room looking out on river. Breakfast very good and dinner superb.

Staying for four nights meant menu choice became limited, as though the quality was very high there were elements we would not normally have chosen. Always a problem with places that offer haute cuisine.
